00:01:25 ◼   ► you know one superhero was kind of silly [TS]

00:01:28 ◼   ► but like eight different superheroes [TS]

00:01:30 ◼   ► with different powers is really a can be [TS]

00:01:35 ◼   ► really ridiculous it's hard to suspend [TS]

00:01:37 ◼   ► disbelief with one you do a whole caste [TS]

00:02:26 ◼   ► pretty this crazy creation of a [TS]

00:02:28 ◼   ► super-powered humans somebody bigger [TS]

00:02:31 ◼   ► is most interesting when it's put in [TS]

00:02:34 ◼   ► opposition to humanity and and it you [TS]

00:02:36 ◼   ► know and then you've got them surrounded [TS]

00:02:37 ◼   ► by other people who are similarly or [TS]

00:02:39 ◼   ► differently super and that's a whole [TS]

00:02:42 ◼   ► different dynamic it's not to say that [TS]

00:02:43 ◼   ► it can't work but it's a really [TS]

00:02:45 ◼   ► different approach than saying you know [TS]

00:02:47 ◼   ► this is about Peter Parker and he's a [TS]

00:02:49 ◼   ► kid who has powers and everybody else [TS]

00:05:35 ◼   ► ideology like the authority because the [TS]

00:05:38 ◼   ► thing that the five of them all have in [TS]

00:05:40 ◼   ► common is we have superpowers and we [TS]

00:05:42 ◼   ► have no problem using them to fix the [TS]

00:05:44 ◼   ► world as we see fit and that's that's [TS]

00:05:46 ◼   ► pretty much that the unifying principle [TS]

00:05:48 ◼   ► that all five of them have going forth [TS]

00:05:50 ◼   ► and then you have teams that are brought [TS]

00:05:52 ◼   ► together through self interest for [TS]

00:05:54 ◼   ► example i'm thinking of delsym own [TS]

00:05:55 ◼   ► secret six where they're all they're all [TS]

00:05:58 ◼   ► anti-heroes or or even really really [TS]

00:06:00 ◼   ► mediocre villains and in the the origin [TS]

00:06:04 ◼   ► story they get flung together by [TS]

00:06:05 ◼   ► somebody who turns out to be Lex Luthor [TS]

00:06:09 ◼   ► they were like please feel free to work [TS]

00:06:10 ◼   ► together or feel free to lose your life [TS]

00:06:12 ◼   ► and all of them said you make a good [TS]

00:06:17 ◼   ► the thing that doesn't hold it for me is [TS]

00:06:29 ◼   ► designed to appeal to teenagers things [TS]

00:06:31 ◼   ► like the x-men or boat ride over in [TS]

00:06:33 ◼   ► every school right there is I wanted my [TS]

00:06:35 ◼   ► students always felt more like that than [TS]

00:06:37 ◼   ► the experiment was a success for these [TS]

00:06:38 ◼   ► are the original x-men I wonder if it's [TS]

00:06:40 ◼   ► designed to explicitly to appeal to [TS]

00:06:42 ◼   ► people whose whose entire social and [TS]

00:06:45 ◼   ► vocational lives revolve around school [TS]

00:06:46 ◼   ► at the moment where you know when your [TS]

00:06:48 ◼   ► teenager your world is actually pretty [TS]

00:06:49 ◼   ► circumscribed by family and by school so [TS]

00:06:51 ◼   ► are you are using resting comics are [TS]

00:06:54 ◼   ► kind of geared towards under overweight [TS]

00:06:56 ◼   ► teenage boys [TS]

00:06:58 ◼   ► never thought of it that way interesting [TS]

00:07:02 ◼   ► the great dichotomy between the comics [TS]

00:07:04 ◼   ► that are targeted overweight boys vs [TS]

00:07:07 ◼   ► underway boys the skin I somebody walks [TS]

00:07:10 ◼   ► into like get skinny comics to the left [TS]

00:07:14 ◼   ► what would be a bad comic friendship [TS]

00:07:49 ◼   ► horrible crippling stereotypes that [TS]

00:08:19 ◼   ► planet but it's not quite the same as [TS]

00:08:24 ◼   ► here to fix the planet as we see fit or [TS]

00:08:26 ◼   ► the Exile cementing treatments you know [TS]

00:08:28 ◼   ► the Exiles which I which I really liked [TS]

00:08:30 ◼   ► which was a you know x-men from [TS]

00:08:33 ◼   ► alternate universes banding together [TS]

00:08:34 ◼   ► which they now serve Doug great pockets [TS]

00:08:36 ◼   ► redoing that now essentially as extreme [TS]
