00:02:19   yellow yeah you guys are drinking [TS]

00:02:22   Blackmore motor oil yeah I'm having [TS]

00:02:24   these stone cds underhanded Tripoli [TS]

00:02:45   what's you that's good welcome to every [TS]

00:02:48   podcast on your internet so are you know [TS]

00:02:50   what's been going on what's been going [TS]

00:02:52   on with you and I were just talking [TS]

00:02:53   about these how planning and podcasting [TS]

00:02:55   is very hard and we've just proven it i [TS]

00:02:57   went to comic-con I've heard that about [TS]

00:02:59   you [TS]

00:02:59   what's comic-con comic-con is a [TS]

00:03:02   convention of chemical people who are [TS]

00:03:05   sad and sweaty [TS]

00:03:06   yes and large and they wear costumes arm [TS]

00:03:09   is largely that sounds like my house on [TS]

00:03:12   the weekends it's uh I've never been to [TS]

00:03:15   your house on the weekend now I don't [TS]

00:03:16   want to go but I hope you have crowd [TS]

00:03:18   control [TS]

00:03:19   that's all I'm saying yeah you know this [TS]

00:03:21   is my third comic-con [TS]

00:03:22   yeah I noticed you ran out of there very [TS]

00:03:23   early today I oh I didn't even go [TS]

00:03:26   really yeah didn't you can take it on [TS]

00:03:27   the road you just erase i did some work [TS]

00:03:29   today of writing the stories about the [TS]

00:03:30   last two days of comic-con instead and I [TS]

00:03:32   haven't I went to comic-con 20 years ago [TS]

00:03:34   and it was in san diego convention [TS]

00:03:36   center and was afraid and then I had [TS]

00:03:39   some friends that came down and they [TS]

00:03:40   wanted to stay for three days that was [TS]

00:03:42   pre hollywood right I'm yeah it was it [TS]

00:03:44   was pretty everything they were these [TS]

00:03:45   were these were hardcore comic nerds [TS]

00:03:47   right and they they were reading things [TS]

00:03:50   that that i was reading the ticket the [TS]

00:03:52   time maybe and they were reading like [TS]

00:03:55   the post brothers and flaming carrot and [TS]

00:03:57   things that I had never heard of but [TS]

00:03:59   have some cash aid old-school comics [TS]

00:04:01   nerds all right and I was overwhelmed [TS]

00:04:04   then it was it seemed giant and we [TS]

00:04:07   walked for a very long time and then we [TS]

00:04:09   spent some percentage of time like [TS]

00:04:11   tending to the wounds on our feet [TS]

00:04:13   yes and then we walked some more and [TS]

00:04:15   waited in long lines to have awkward [TS]

00:04:16   conversations with artists who clearly [TS]

00:04:18   didn't want to be there is one thing [TS]

00:04:20   what's it like now is you you can't [TS]

00:04:22   actually get wounds on your feet because [TS]

00:04:23   you can't make that much distance no you [TS]

00:04:26   can't move in the convention so it's [TS]

00:04:27   more back problems than foot problem you [TS]

00:04:29   know it's just standing in place it's [TS]

00:04:32   the most crowded event I've ever been to [TS]

00:04:34   outside of like a rock music festival [TS]

00:04:36   and but what I want it to its credit it [TS]

00:04:40   has good cut good crowd control the [TS]

00:04:42   crowds to move [TS]

00:04:43   it's not another like people with tasers [TS]

00:04:45   just moving them alone [TS]

00:04:46   no they're talking about the hall you [TS]

00:04:47   tell about the the alright i'm thinking [TS]

00:04:50   like the train station has like 12 [TS]

00:04:51   oh my god once you get outside about the [TS]

00:04:53   the main hall though it's matt its it is [TS]

00:04:56   to convince every song movie ever and [TS]

00:04:58   it's not that is so many people it's [TS]

00:05:00   that there's so much of each individual [TS]

00:05:02   person there's large acid in evidence on [TS]

00:05:07   the contrary I mean they're just like [TS]

00:05:09   these gigantic hole and wine stands [TS]

00:05:11   roaming when was the last time you went [TS]

00:05:12   to comic-con I was there for years ago [TS]

00:05:14   it was a hello [TS]

00:05:16   take a picture sure absolutely critical [TS]

00:05:20   theory 481 Drake 16 and I point and this [TS]

00:05:24   is the best podcast never at this this [TS]

00:05:26   works well this is good radio right here [TS]

00:05:28   so you went to comic-con for years i [TS]

00:05:30   went to comic-con for years ago because [TS]

00:05:31   the mystery science theater folk were [TS]

00:05:33   having a reunion / panel that's a good [TS]

00:05:37   reason to go and the rifftrax were there [TS]

00:05:40   as well and I was currently in the [TS]

00:05:42   process of trying to weasel my way into [TS]

00:05:44   a right and get with them which I [TS]

00:05:46   eventually did [TS]

00:05:47   I'm nice i I approached the the rifftrax [TS]

00:05:50   booth and I brought some bags of flaming [TS]

00:05:52   hot cheetos for Bill Corbett and the [TS]

00:05:55   rest of the gang and you you've got to [TS]

00:05:58   see the humanity [TS]

00:05:59   Oh God so what what what impresses me [TS]

00:06:02   about the comic-con crowd is that it's [TS]

00:06:04   younger than I thought it was a female [TS]

00:06:05   than I thought and it's actually not as [TS]

00:06:07   far as you can tell i mean i'd say it's [TS]

00:06:08   difficult [TS]

00:06:09   no no I mean I there were a lot of lot [TS]

00:06:12   of teenagers early 20 women and in [TS]

00:06:15   costumes are not but we were lightly [TS]

00:06:18   accumulation just the last four years [TS]

00:06:20   that [TS]

00:06:21   so repeat what you just said slowly hey [TS]

00:06:23   hello there were women because recording [TS]

00:06:25   I want to jump in the middle we are [TS]

00:06:27   going to jump on it but yeah sure i'm [TS]

00:06:29   jake belt [TS]

00:06:30   hey attorney take that right Jason below [TS]

00:06:32   UCSD alumni yeah right man yes I [TS]

00:06:35   concentrate whole user years wow you [TS]

00:06:39   guys enjoying our stone brewery it's [TS]

00:06:42   it's it's fantastic little too much so [TS]

00:06:44   far as Craig is a lightweight what we [TS]

00:06:46   call in the business [TS]

00:06:47   he's had a dungeon light and now he's [TS]

00:06:49   about three or four now he is Belgian he [TS]

00:06:52   has become Belgians good didn't have [TS]

00:06:53   anything to eat [TS]

00:06:54   ya know pro tip I've got the almonds in [TS]

00:06:58   my bag if you need some almonds to come [TS]

00:07:00   down if they don't like the food out [TS]

00:07:01   here [TS]

00:07:02   yeah I know four years ago I there were [TS]

00:07:05   girls there i believe but it was it was [TS]

00:07:07   very difficult to tell me don't maybe [TS]

00:07:09   just in the last don't worry i think i [TS]

00:07:10   think the demographics are really change [TS]

00:07:12   I think they have changed i think the [TS]

00:07:13   because it's not a difference at all [TS]

00:07:15   it's not it's not a comic book guy right [TS]

00:07:17   it's not cool it's not just comics [TS]

00:07:18   anymore drive-in movies ranks like that [TS]

00:07:20   and hoping to get a glimpse of its much [TS]

00:07:23   firefly got its much younger can take [TS]

00:07:25   this name now Joss Whedon job no jokes [TS]

00:07:28   we firefly update in philly eighth in [TS]

00:07:31   philly and that's the guy he's a firefly [TS]

00:07:32   guy he's the fire but wait doesn't [TS]

00:07:34   happen much broader years ago when I was [TS]

00:07:36   a twenty-year-old i love because it [TS]

00:07:38   would have you would have enjoyed it and [TS]

00:07:40   my entire purpose of the universe and [TS]

00:07:42   have this [TS]

00:07:43   yes ok mission accomplished life you [TS]

00:07:47   can't have nice things that's a [TS]

00:07:48   cigarette exactly what Gregg especially [TS]

00:07:50   can't have nice things [TS]

00:07:51   so it's you know comic-con is is not as [TS]

00:07:53   hateful let me try is it always still in [TS]

00:07:55   the convention center [TS]

00:07:56   yes well no because it's in the [TS]

00:07:58   convention center and its and and [TS]

00:07:59   companies have things in all the hotels [TS]

00:08:01   and all the every space the official [TS]

00:08:04   conference thing is in the can because [TS]

00:08:06   that's when they get too big like South [TS]

00:08:08   by Southwest is no all over Austin and [TS]

00:08:10   supposed to change the nature [TS]

00:08:12   the I think swag on comic-con is [TS]

00:08:15   threatened two bolts but they've done [TS]

00:08:17   they've made concessions the convention [TS]

00:08:19   center's big and then there are all the [TS]

00:08:21   hotels downtown they started having [TS]

00:08:23   their stuff at petco park now they're [TS]

00:08:25   think it's all it's all over the place [TS]

00:08:27   but it's you know they're not using it [TS]

00:08:28   for anything else [TS]

00:08:29   my point is people who think comic con [TS]

00:08:31   is a death march have not been to CES [TS]

00:08:36   CBS is a Death March it is so terrible [TS]

00:08:41   is unpleasant to be there every time i [TS]

00:08:43   go i wish i could just go home [TS]

00:08:45   immediately it's very seriously but it's [TS]

00:08:47   pronounced III just doesn't reek like [TS]

00:08:49   comic-con [TS]

00:08:50   yeah it's really get people sweltering [TS]

00:08:53   an iced tea I didn't think I didn't [TS]

00:08:54   think our economy all very bad it's like [TS]

00:08:56   it's your it's like a small-scale [TS]

00:08:57   simulation of continental drift [TS]

00:09:00   there's just these huge gigantic [TS]

00:09:03   mountains of flesh that sort of yeah [TS]

00:09:05   really a little batteries now it's [TS]

00:09:07   outside outside it's like that inside it [TS]

00:09:10   moves pretty well and they keep it nice [TS]

00:09:11   and air-conditioned I should have gone [TS]

00:09:13   outside and and the panel's I go to are [TS]

00:09:15   not the panels were you wait in line 12 [TS]

00:09:17   hours in order to see the cast of [TS]

00:09:18   veronica mars for 30 minutes okay i go [TS]

00:09:21   to my daughter the panel's since I want [TS]

00:09:23   to cover like digital comics and things [TS]

00:09:24   I go to the panels that are about those [TS]

00:09:27   topics and you can walk right in with [TS]

00:09:29   like joss whedon much nicer yeah Usher [TS]

00:09:31   stroll right into joss whedon right yeah [TS]

00:09:33   so so so it's fine it's fine [TS]

00:09:36   and as a cock as a guy likes comics [TS]

00:09:38   their comics there but there's also TV [TS]

00:09:40   and movie and all sorts of other stuff [TS]

00:09:42   that you're interested in the things [TS]

00:09:43   that even the losers are not interested [TS]

00:09:46   yeah why you're so judgmental about [TS]

00:09:48   comic-con sorry so classically designed [TS]

00:09:50   their four years before james room is [TS]

00:09:52   what you're saying you know that there [TS]

00:09:54   is an anime room that shows anime 24 [TS]

00:09:56   hours a day i believe and there's a [TS]

00:09:57   warning that i knew that guy is high [TS]

00:09:59   school in because apparently there are [TS]

00:10:00   lots of boobs and anime tentacles [TS]

00:10:02   tentacles okay i guess i had to go in [TS]

00:10:05   there [TS]

00:10:06   japanese culture has produced a cara and [TS]

00:10:08   technical forum [TS]

00:10:09   also kurasawa but who's counting [TS]

00:10:12   that's Bob curse all right yes he's good [TS]

00:10:15   at greatest technical support my sister [TS]

00:10:16   EVER [TS]

00:10:17   what are you talking about oh and [TS]

00:10:20   miyazaki and you know but music suddenly [TS]

00:10:22   you go syracuse I know [TS]

00:10:24   well it happens it happens I still have [TS]

00:10:26   those to iMovie cement in my cue to [TS]

00:10:29   watch I'm gonna catch up and then I'm [TS]

00:10:32   just gonna call it okay along with that [TS]

00:10:33   episode actually pretty good [TS]

00:10:35   we should do that when you're an actress [TS]

00:10:36   and a perfect little ooh you should [TS]

00:10:38   throw my desktops you should do a UH a [TS]

00:10:41   rifftrax or like a commentary track of [TS]

00:10:43   the incomparable just alone in my room [TS]

00:10:45   with yeah we can do it you can be like [TS]

00:10:47   your distant dissenting opinion [TS]

00:10:49   alternative to not in your room that [TS]

00:10:51   episode mcnoldy yeah exactly [TS]

00:10:54   we'll just drop it in I'm saying that [TS]

00:10:56   every 15 minutes anyway you're watching [TS]

00:10:59   the wire just listening to podcasts or [TS]

00:11:01   just thinking oh just every 15 minutes [TS]

00:11:03   fair enough kinda awkward yeah well you [TS]

00:11:07   know like this podcast like your life [TS]

00:11:10   Greg like your life and I should also [TS]

00:11:14   also mentioned that this ridiculous [TS]

00:11:16   episode of the uncomfortable is brought [TS]

00:11:17   to you by the good people at 23andme I [TS]

00:11:19   don't know it's true it's greg have you [TS]

00:11:22   done have you done the genetic analysis [TS]

00:11:24   like haven't though I listened to the [TS]

00:11:25   superhero draft episode and i thought i [TS]

00:11:27   should this is a very thing I should do [TS]

00:11:29   you should because happy i was thinking [TS]

00:11:31   in that the science-fiction nerds the [TS]

00:11:35   the whole superhero comic thing it all [TS]

00:11:37   comes back to DNA manipulation is a huge [TS]

00:11:41   component of service and now it's [TS]

00:11:42   reality LOL ahead and I can find out [TS]

00:11:44   what percentage of my DNA is Neanderthal [TS]

00:11:47   yes and what percentage is radioactive [TS]

00:11:48   spider that's what I'm sure that well [TS]

00:11:51   she's not going to be so so when this [TS]

00:11:53   came out I was excited about it for [TS]

00:11:55   those very reasons but it was like 30 [TS]

00:11:56   bucks or something was kind of [TS]

00:11:57   prohibitively expensive but it's [TS]

00:11:59   ninety-nine dollars now this is the add [TS]

00:12:01   part of the show by the way Craig won't [TS]

00:12:03   have an experienced before we have [TS]

00:12:04   sponsors just a product that you really [TS]

00:12:05   really enjoyed the funny thing is that [TS]

00:12:07   it is and that makes these these spots [TS]

00:12:09   that much better it is for nine dollars [TS]

00:12:11   you get a you go to 23 me.com / [TS]

00:12:14   comfortable which is my favorite URL on [TS]

00:12:15   the entire internet [TS]

00:12:17   and you get a a a test kit for that for [TS]

00:12:20   nine dollars in a in a in a mailer that [TS]

00:12:22   you sent back to them the testing is [TS]

00:12:24   easy [TS]

00:12:25   youyou important sending them the six [TS]

00:12:28   ounces of blood need no no but that's [TS]

00:12:30   the beauty of a great [TS]

00:12:31   there's no blood involved you hock a [TS]

00:12:32   loogie it's a couple of its a couple of [TS]

00:12:34   doing that all the couple of spits into [TS]

00:12:37   a tube and you seal the tube and send it [TS]

00:12:38   back that's all it's required [TS]

00:12:40   there's no snow bunny swab in the back [TS]

00:12:42   of her you know cheek [TS]

00:12:44   there's no other bodily fluid samples [TS]

00:12:47   that are required just bit you know I [TS]

00:12:48   remember when I had a business that was [TS]

00:12:50   the first time I didn't speak to me [TS]

00:12:52   yeah the first time I did it I had a big [TS]

00:12:53   chicken sandwich and they came back and [TS]

00:12:55   they said your chicken and I said that's [TS]

00:12:57   probably not true [TS]

00:12:58   no it's amazing how it works they make [TS]

00:12:59   sure that it's human DNA or human-alien [TS]

00:13:01   hybrid DNA if you're one of those people [TS]

00:13:03   if your shape-shifting assassin PR and [TS]

00:13:07   then and then they send you an e-mail [TS]

00:13:09   when you are when they finish sequencing [TS]

00:13:11   you and you've got people in their [TS]

00:13:13   database who are probably your direct [TS]

00:13:15   you know your relative second-year does [TS]

00:13:17   kinda distant relative I found I found a [TS]

00:13:19   fourth cousin that we've confirmed that [TS]

00:13:21   i had no idea existed there is a second [TS]

00:13:24   cousin who's a match wife sent an [TS]

00:13:25   invitation to second or third cousin [TS]

00:13:27   wondering who that person under people [TS]

00:13:29   who have used the service yes and it can [TS]

00:13:31   extrapolate based on the percentage of [TS]

00:13:32   DNA sequence matches that you're related [TS]

00:13:35   and how close you're related what if I [TS]

00:13:37   don't like Melissa well the beauty of it [TS]

00:13:40   is you don't have to be revealed to them [TS]

00:13:42   you don't have to accept any invitation [TS]

00:13:43   to share all of that is optional so if [TS]

00:13:47   you don't like your relatives if you [TS]

00:13:48   don't want to know if you if there's a [TS]

00:13:50   you know if you don't know about disease [TS]

00:13:52   that you might have a predisposition for [TS]

00:13:54   you have to you have to say yes i do [TS]

00:13:56   want to know about that for 23andme well [TS]

00:13:58   well i'll let you know about it so it's [TS]

00:14:00   a it's your health disease that I enjoy [TS]

00:14:02   this mantra that is more of a pathology [TS]

00:14:06   technically speaking you know I had a [TS]

00:14:09   taco today because we're in san diego a [TS]

00:14:11   taco and it had I two tacos and one of [TS]

00:14:14   them was lovely and the other one that [TS]

00:14:16   was very heavy on the cilantro and as [TS]

00:14:18   people as people know the cilantro is [TS]

00:14:21   like the devil's condiment it is [TS]

00:14:23   terrible and but but there's a genetic [TS]

00:14:25   basis for that and that's part of at [TS]

00:14:27   23andme study i want [TS]

00:14:28   if Latin genomes how do not have the [TS]

00:14:33   cilantro sensitive gene i which is why [TS]

00:14:36   it's such a heavily used condom maybe so [TS]

00:14:38   maybe so it'sit's maybe people from [TS]

00:14:40   Europe like me who hate cilantro so much [TS]

00:14:43   or maybe I have some other mutants [TS]

00:14:46   problems maybe that's your new music [TS]

00:14:47   that's my main power is like that i [TS]

00:14:49   don't like cilantro [TS]

00:14:50   it's a really terrible and I would have [TS]

00:14:51   chosen terrible power yeah so 23andme [TS]

00:14:55   $99 DNA testing kit lots of cool stuff [TS]

00:14:57   you learn about yourself with the last [TS]

00:14:59   one you convinced me to do I'm gonna do [TS]

00:15:01   it as soon as we can because the [TS]

00:15:02   cilantro [TS]

00:15:03   no because of his dad because it's cool [TS]

00:15:05   it's cool that i am honored [TS]

00:15:08   yeah and i can find out what my DNA [TS]

00:15:11   let me tell you one of the really cool [TS]

00:15:12   things on 23 me is that they wrote a [TS]

00:15:14   plug-in that takes it takes your a [TS]

00:15:16   string of your DNA and some background [TS]

00:15:18   information about you like your eye [TS]

00:15:19   color and all and and your and a bunch [TS]

00:15:22   of other stuff that they learned from [TS]

00:15:23   your DNA sequence and it turns it into a [TS]

00:15:25   ringtone and every person's ringtone is [TS]

00:15:27   different ending and it's not just that [TS]

00:15:29   it's not just playing the notes as if [TS]

00:15:31   they were notes from your DNA its notes [TS]

00:15:33   from your DNA and the tempo and the [TS]

00:15:35   instruments and all sorts of other [TS]

00:15:36   things are actually varied based on your [TS]

00:15:38   DNA profile so everybody's ringtones [TS]

00:15:40   difference and my ringtone is actually [TS]

00:15:41   pretty cool and I wasn't my wife's ring [TS]

00:15:43   tone totally different so it's anything [TS]

00:15:46   but you have to put it up on the web [TS]

00:15:47   you're ringing yeah so that I can have [TS]

00:15:49   your ringtone on my phone when I call [TS]

00:15:51   you that supposed to work [TS]

00:15:52   that's Jason's dad is Jason's DNA [TS]

00:15:54   calling that would be the second [TS]

00:15:55   three-way diecast your DNA yeah exactly [TS]

00:15:57   right [TS]

00:15:57   thank you for one day and if you're a [TS]

00:15:59   mutant it just has like cymbal crashes [TS]

00:16:02   and talk horns go off and there's a red [TS]

00:16:05   alert sign and things like soap 33 and [TS]

00:16:08   me.com / and comfortable $99 lot of fun [TS]

00:16:12   and if you're my relative long-lost [TS]

00:16:14   relative you'll find out soon so sorry i [TS]

00:16:18   have no promises that the heart out of [TS]

00:16:20   finding that out they can they can you [TS]

00:16:22   can just see my name and say no no I [TS]

00:16:24   don't want to know honestly I I don't [TS]

00:16:26   have a lot of questions about my DNA [TS]

00:16:29   other than what percentage of [TS]

00:16:31   Neanderthal it is yes but i just want to [TS]

00:16:33   be able to say that i've done it is [TS]

00:16:34   available to me [TS]

00:16:35   you can download your sequence to I mean [TS]

00:16:37   it is portable and see that it you can [TS]

00:16:38   download your sequence if i'm going to [TS]

00:16:40   do something with the data [TS]

00:16:41   alright so twice [TS]

00:16:42   and creature thank you for sponsoring [TS]

00:16:43   this podcast where we sit and drink beer [TS]

00:16:45   outside seven hundred dollars to do that [TS]

00:16:47   yeah exactly right pay for itself so [TS]

00:16:50   comic-con you know I bought some stuff [TS]

00:16:51   for my kids I do that every year [TS]

00:16:53   listen to the podcast and rewritten who [TS]

00:16:55   does Ali was there and I said I William [TS]

00:16:59   alley which my kids have the books and [TS]

00:17:01   it's very nice it's kids it's it's like [TS]

00:17:03   comics but they don't have words and [TS]

00:17:05   kids love them so he was there and he [TS]

00:17:07   loves the podcast which is kind of cool [TS]

00:17:09   that is cool [TS]

00:17:10   I you know I don't know I have a good [TS]

00:17:14   time and now I get to have beer [TS]

00:17:16   yeah I know you don't have a good enough [TS]

00:17:18   time to stick around until after i was [TS]

00:17:20   done for Pia I think two days i think [TS]

00:17:22   two days is pretty much the 1i went back [TS]

00:17:24   I i went on on friday i had such a good [TS]

00:17:27   time but that's really clock i ran [TS]

00:17:29   screaming from the convention center [TS]

00:17:30   went to karl strauss had beer and then [TS]

00:17:32   for dust 425 425 yourself away all back [TS]

00:17:35   for more panels now you have to I mean [TS]

00:17:37   really you have to [TS]

00:17:39   well there's like in the dsm-5 there's a [TS]

00:17:41   rating for how long you can stay at [TS]

00:17:43   comic-con always you know one day one [TS]

00:17:47   day you're perfectly normal in two days [TS]

00:17:48   you have some form of mental deficiency [TS]

00:17:50   right abnormalities we're doing it for [TS]

00:17:53   your job comical yeah [TS]

00:17:54   Holly's crab well it perhaps your job [TS]

00:17:57   has some form of mental deficiency but [TS]

00:17:59   the third day man [TS]

00:18:01   mm that's too much so you you went [TS]

00:18:03   thursday and friday you did not do [TS]

00:18:05   preview night [TS]

00:18:06   now I did review nice driving down okay [TS]

00:18:09   should have got a preview is pretty [TS]

00:18:10   night is actually semi possible although [TS]

00:18:13   you have to stand in line between for [TS]

00:18:16   about an hour and a half behind this [TS]

00:18:18   gigantic flood of people are getting [TS]

00:18:21   their passes but once you're in floor is [TS]

00:18:23   relatively well so let's rattle when you [TS]

00:18:27   went but thursday was not bad and friday [TS]

00:18:28   was not bad until the afternoon [TS]

00:18:29   afternoon or worse the mornings [TS]

00:18:31   ok friday is worse than thursday [TS]

00:18:33   saturday i went to saturday the last [TS]

00:18:35   couple years and that's why didn't go [TS]

00:18:36   today because this guy's saturday [TS]

00:18:38   because that is a horror show so I think [TS]

00:18:40   of what did you see what did you see [TS]

00:18:41   that impressed you the most I mean did [TS]

00:18:43   you see anything that's coming [TS]

00:18:44   what sliding I didn't like i did a [TS]

00:18:47   400-pound [TS]

00:18:48   later in the gold bikini actually look [TS]

00:18:51   more like it and if they made it between [TS]

00:18:53   java and land but with the trails [TS]

00:18:56   magical conclusion of that of Return of [TS]

00:18:58   the Jedi of that that active return of [TS]

00:19:00   each other right now you know if it had [TS]

00:19:02   not worked out for Luke and his whole [TS]

00:19:03   ridiculous rescue attempt then perhaps [TS]

00:19:06   we would have seen this fetching gal the [TS]

00:19:09   most of restoration stampin all thing [TS]

00:19:11   that I found at a at comic-con was I saw [TS]

00:19:16   a a guy I ok so I saw a guy dressed as [TS]

00:19:19   Wolverine this is in itself not news [TS]

00:19:22   because every time i've been to [TS]

00:19:24   comic-con there's a guy outside the hall [TS]

00:19:26   dresses Wolverine getting his picture [TS]

00:19:28   taken [TS]

00:19:29   yeah people rich region of wolverine [TS]

00:19:31   yellow jumpsuit biliary is we're [TS]

00:19:33   bringing your very genuine Wolverine but [TS]

00:19:35   it's always there is always a guy if you [TS]

00:19:38   want to if you want to have your picture [TS]

00:19:39   taken and get on the news you dresses [TS]

00:19:41   Wolverine and stand out in front of the [TS]

00:19:43   convention center every I'm serious [TS]

00:19:44   every single time there's somebody out [TS]

00:19:46   right but I saw a guy is this is like [TS]

00:19:48   black friday for guys who stand on the [TS]

00:19:50   street corner in a costume [TS]

00:19:51   yeah if you can get pull off Wolverine [TS]

00:19:53   Hugh Jackman you can do it but I saw a [TS]

00:19:56   guy in the hall i could go through party [TS]

00:19:58   city and glory III have I have I had one [TS]

00:20:01   weekend until one where I pulled up [TS]

00:20:04   I'm sorry as you're not recording sorry [TS]

00:20:08   when you first round before the is if [TS]

00:20:10   you want a cab us a donkey show you all [TS]

00:20:12   for a delivery it's all options in there [TS]

00:20:14   we like ceramic big anything you want [TS]

00:20:17   would you like an Indiana Jones have [TS]

00:20:19   made of untanned leather that will rot [TS]

00:20:21   in five days available you want the [TS]

00:20:23   street corner you have you look close to [TS]

00:20:25   the border you should get down hard [TS]

00:20:26   rain's give me a ceramic pics to the [TS]

00:20:30   ceramic part Simpson so sadly are still [TS]

00:20:32   being so well i was driving through our [TS]

00:20:35   college campus UCSD today I realized [TS]

00:20:37   that that i first watched the Simpsons [TS]

00:20:40   on the UCSD campus and it's still on the [TS]

00:20:43   air how long they were on an 89 did you [TS]

00:20:47   not watch until subsequent to the pie [TS]

00:20:49   started in 88 so i started UCSD an 88 so [TS]

00:20:53   I i first saw the simpsons it was in the [TS]

00:20:55   the lounge at me and mirror mom [TS]

00:20:58   middle of mirrors where for some [TS]

00:20:59   opposite was the was the premier had a [TS]

00:21:02   friend who came back around the bumpers [TS]

00:21:04   on Tracy and was it that basically [TS]

00:21:06   Smith's episodes traceability haven't so [TS]

00:21:09   sitting on roasting on an open fire [TS]

00:21:10   which they moved ahead because I guess [TS]

00:21:13   it was gonna be a fall show and related [TS]

00:21:14   to mid season but they had a Christmas [TS]

00:21:16   episode so I use that is the debut right [TS]

00:21:18   but I friend who was studying abroad in [TS]

00:21:20   in Israel and she came back after the [TS]

00:21:25   simpsons that debuted and she said you [TS]

00:21:27   know her biggest culture shock was that [TS]

00:21:29   suddenly the life and health guy had a [TS]

00:21:31   TV show how did that happen but it's [TS]

00:21:34   still on the air and and you know it's [TS]

00:21:35   21 years later and it's still on the air [TS]

00:21:39   I'm probably alone in this but I really [TS]

00:21:40   like that first season that was still be [TS]

00:21:42   a Morse it coming still [TS]

00:21:44   yea though I I green and still had like [TS]

00:21:46   sort of the heartwarming conclusion [TS]

00:21:48   we're all home really does love his [TS]

00:21:49   family even though he's completely i [TS]

00:21:51   will tell you what the thing is that i [TS]

00:21:52   like comic-con but I'm enjoying this now [TS]

00:21:54   it's suddenly were talking about the [TS]

00:21:55   simpsons large okay we can do that you [TS]

00:21:57   know one point they talked about doing a [TS]

00:21:59   spin-off of the simpsons called [TS]

00:22:01   Springfield that was going to be all the [TS]

00:22:02   ancillary characters and then I think [TS]

00:22:04   they realized that they needed to keep [TS]

00:22:07   those characters for for the simpsons [TS]

00:22:11   because they otherwise we're gonna be [TS]

00:22:12   out of a lock [TS]

00:22:14   we'd like a sniper behind designate that [TS]

00:22:16   it playing up video games that somebody [TS]

00:22:19   moving through tall grass made me [TS]

00:22:21   nervous enough smoke borders in the [TS]

00:22:23   bushes you were leavin da so uh so yeah [TS]

00:22:27   so they didn't do the spin-off of the [TS]

00:22:28   simpsons because they realized they [TS]

00:22:29   needed of storylines the actual show [TS]

00:22:31   so what so the actors won't be able to [TS]

00:22:33   appear on the simpsons I thought that [TS]

00:22:34   would've been a great idea for a show to [TS]

00:22:35   do that do a whole show that is just [TS]

00:22:37   other things that are happening Academy [TS]

00:22:39   about the fact that everybody beauty but [TS]

00:22:42   simply because you don't really need a [TS]

00:22:43   simpsons and the simpsons anymore it's [TS]

00:22:45   their 80 characters is the season still [TS]

00:22:48   on it is really not only my shot and use [TS]

00:22:51   it was last time you actually saw that [TS]

00:22:52   and equality so we had we had a season [TS]

00:22:54   pass on our DVR and it and at one point [TS]

00:22:57   two years ago I realized that 15 [TS]

00:22:59   episodes were unwatched I deleted that [TS]

00:23:01   was the end so that 23 years ago [TS]

00:23:03   that's shifting again the tivo season [TS]

00:23:07   pass [TS]

00:23:08   don't ever go back and look at that it [TS]

00:23:11   makes you so sad up all the Dead shows [TS]

00:23:13   of all the Dead shows that you no longer [TS]

00:23:14   get to watch that it's just faithfully [TS]

00:23:16   looking for forever and ever and ever [TS]

00:23:18   and it will never be back to never [TS]

00:23:20   Neverland so happened that was that was [TS]

00:23:22   time you're out living space time and [TS]

00:23:23   you're out grabbing it by the nads you [TS]

00:23:26   know pretty sure i wasn't i know you are [TS]

00:23:28   you could've been you could've been and [TS]

00:23:30   that's what matters [TS]

00:23:31   mom you are sitting for the tivo I you [TS]

00:23:33   think caused me to reflect the guys are [TS]

00:23:34   making every day you know what I love [TS]

00:23:35   about the season pass list though is [TS]

00:23:37   that it makes you a TV executive so like [TS]

00:23:39   the office [TS]

00:23:41   it gives you cocaine it's very eighties [TS]

00:23:44   I think they just what's the latest [TS]

00:23:47   would be given gives you what it was [TS]

00:23:49   doing to ecstasy now that's a bath salts [TS]

00:23:51   siding so it's there's a pure form of [TS]

00:23:53   ecstasy Molly Molly there i'm back i [TS]

00:23:55   read in new york times article about [TS]

00:23:56   Molly don't have to get by on tapping [TS]

00:23:58   table because you can start with I'm hip [TS]

00:24:01   and he says I ready New York Times and [TS]

00:24:02   The New Yorker has a great piece on the [TS]

00:24:05   citizen it was a big ol cartoon of [TS]

00:24:07   federal trial I am middle-aged hilarious [TS]

00:24:11   so what we say what the hell was i [TS]

00:24:14   talking about having a TV executive TV [TS]

00:24:15   executives and cocaine coach that's not [TS]

00:24:18   what i was talking about he would never [TS]

00:24:20   alright I don't know you talk about team [TS]

00:24:22   of us teasing yeah I'm a TV except i'm [TS]

00:24:24   glad one of the young inventor the [TS]

00:24:26   office [TS]

00:24:27   I've had two beers you've had one who [TS]

00:24:29   was ready with water because you can [TS]

00:24:33   cancel shows yourself so like the office [TS]

00:24:35   that episode where jim and pam got [TS]

00:24:36   married and I said what a lovely season [TS]

00:24:37   finale this isn't my wife said no no [TS]

00:24:39   they're still going to make episodes I [TS]

00:24:41   said know what a lovely season finale [TS]

00:24:43   business and I canceled the show and I [TS]

00:24:45   moved on apparently there was a big hub [TS]

00:24:47   of about they have there was a final [TS]

00:24:49   episode of the office this spring but I [TS]

00:24:51   the final episode the office area in my [TS]

00:24:54   house as far as I'm concerned like three [TS]

00:24:55   years ago four years ago x was very nice [TS]

00:24:57   and then that was the environment TV [TS]

00:24:59   executives and i can bring Duffy back [TS]

00:25:00   right [TS]

00:25:01   oh man wouldn't be nice no you have to [TS]

00:25:03   go to kickstarter for that you only get [TS]

00:25:05   Veronica Mars sorry this there are the [TS]

00:25:08   the last the fourth the last third last [TS]

00:25:12   and second-to-last episode of Buffy I [TS]

00:25:13   still haven't seen I'm saving them for [TS]

00:25:15   some reason why had a fine wine but not [TS]

00:25:18   the final one night I watched the final [TS]

00:25:20   one [TS]

00:25:20   nathan fillion is very bad but that's [TS]

00:25:23   what you need to know their i have not [TS]

00:25:25   watched easy to forget the last for [TS]

00:25:27   Betty I was like I'm gonna be John [TS]

00:25:28   firefly oh man [TS]

00:25:30   yes he does expect a different character [TS]

00:25:31   patch firefly batch of experience isn't [TS]

00:25:35   its cousin and I know he's evil places [TS]

00:25:38   Pat he's an evil cousin as you get an [TS]

00:25:40   eye patch [TS]

00:25:41   oh I think that's always a person saying [TS]

00:25:44   there is bi passion I don't even [TS]

00:25:45   remember anymore i love that show [TS]

00:25:47   I've watched your season Buffy and I [TS]

00:25:48   stopped their sexual medicine allen i [TS]

00:25:51   know its first season was so low-budget [TS]

00:25:52   they shot it on 16-millimeter film and [TS]

00:25:55   may be expected to be cancelled at the [TS]

00:25:56   end and all that nobody expected to [TS]

00:25:58   succeed [TS]

00:25:59   I like it I like it stands almost as as [TS]

00:26:01   a unit because yeah well so getting [TS]

00:26:03   middle and the brilliance of what she [TS]

00:26:04   dies of what Joss Whedon does in in in [TS]

00:26:07   buffy is whether it was he was convinced [TS]

00:26:10   he was going to be cancelled or whether [TS]

00:26:11   he just decided to go get the trend all [TS]

00:26:14   these shows and cliff hangers and his [TS]

00:26:16   seasons all end with resolution right [TS]

00:26:18   which i love i love that you go into the [TS]

00:26:21   you go into the the season break I not [TS]

00:26:24   on a cliffhanger but with a sort of a [TS]

00:26:26   story quick closure which is the [TS]

00:26:28   greatest back for the idea when you act [TS]

00:26:29   later on he added sort of a Dumont [TS]

00:26:31   episode so so that like the wire I since [TS]

00:26:35   Greg would like to see you get that you [TS]

00:26:37   get you get you know your your climax [TS]

00:26:39   and then you get a last step is a Greg [TS]

00:26:40   were you going to say something i really [TS]

00:26:42   like this guy [TS]

00:26:43   I think you've convinced the obvious [TS]

00:26:45   where I don't know what you're doing we [TS]

00:26:46   have a back-channel yeah I think you've [TS]

00:26:48   convinced the audience to come back for [TS]

00:26:50   the next season during the course of the [TS]

00:26:51   season you don't need to throw a [TS]

00:26:52   cliffhanger at this totally are in order [TS]

00:26:54   oh my gosh i need to invest 13 hours in [TS]

00:26:56   the future to find out what the [TS]

00:26:57   resolution of this cliffhanger is yeah [TS]

00:26:59   it's annoying right yeah I'm started by [TS]

00:27:02   best emotional support to I think you [TS]

00:27:04   ended on [TS]

00:27:05   Pam and what's-his-name and Jim and Jim [TS]

00:27:07   get married [TS]

00:27:08   you said that he has this is a [TS]

00:27:10   resolution beautiful feel like this [TS]

00:27:11   could be the end of series and it was [TS]

00:27:12   because we didn't need any more episodes [TS]

00:27:14   of that show which is actually a little [TS]

00:27:15   tivo to stop watching it that you could [TS]

00:27:18   have just done it without you but it was [TS]

00:27:19   delivery service watching ceremony and [TS]

00:27:21   everything like i say what is important [TS]

00:27:23   is a little handler some private [TS]

00:27:24   ceremony i removed it from the season [TS]

00:27:26   pass list and then we were good that's [TS]

00:27:28   right you should watch the second season [TS]

00:27:29   of buffy is very good actually like the [TS]

00:27:31   guy that I've had it forever but there [TS]

00:27:33   always seems to be something else I want [TS]

00:27:35   to check out and even time as common [TS]

00:27:36   watching adventure time I haven't seen [TS]

00:27:38   Matt adventure time is fantastic that's [TS]

00:27:40   what I hear it's certainly good too much [TS]

00:27:42   good media yeah there's that's the [TS]

00:27:43   problem [TS]

00:27:44   Greg and I were talking about that [TS]

00:27:45   earlier this cartoon network actually [TS]

00:27:46   it's certainly good all the flagship [TS]

00:27:49   shows on cartoon network are exceedingly [TS]

00:27:51   entertaining regular show [TS]

00:27:54   adventure time the amazing world of [TS]

00:27:57   gumball all incredibly creative all very [TS]

00:27:59   well done highly recommend them [TS]

00:28:02   why wouldn't your time you get the first [TS]

00:28:03   season on netflix if you have not [TS]

00:28:05   watched any adventure time i highly [TS]

00:28:07   recommend you spend some time I did [TS]

00:28:10   something better time [TS]

00:28:11   how do you allocate how you decide what [TS]

00:28:13   media to allocate your time too well [TS]

00:28:14   with adventure time it was i have 15 [TS]

00:28:16   minutes or 12 months i can easily sneak [TS]

00:28:19   a 12-minute episode I don't have to [TS]

00:28:21   spend 45 minutes or 28 min 22 minutes or [TS]

00:28:26   whatever we're down to with the amount [TS]

00:28:27   of commercials they packing now 12 [TS]

00:28:29   minutes is pretty easy to see but not [TS]

00:28:31   anymore [TS]

00:28:31   ok but then you're committed to continue [TS]

00:28:34   watching your not because each of the [TS]

00:28:36   evidence cartoon in there Kyrie well [TS]

00:28:39   yours is I am I already bought istic and [TS]

00:28:42   I'm gonna need to come be a completist [TS]

00:28:43   I'm actually saving episodes of buffy [TS]

00:28:46   because i don't want to write and but I [TS]

00:28:47   have some sort of an ipad i assume you [TS]

00:28:50   you are you netflix streaming so [TS]

00:28:52   whatever you where I know at one point [TS]

00:28:53   yes i also have a bittorrent client okay [TS]

00:28:54   how long do your stool that i use to [TS]

00:28:57   download linux kernel's honestly you're [TS]

00:29:00   in the water closet how how often I [TS]

00:29:02   think I feel like we need to have a [TS]

00:29:03   united to our water closet but the [TS]

00:29:06   piracy or likey arm 1800 the piracy work [TS]

00:29:12   he said something bad [TS]

00:29:14   I'm in the water closet quite a bit [TS]

00:29:15   because I have three children ok easy [TS]

00:29:17   you can easily stretch that out in 12 [TS]

00:29:20   minutes with your iPad and networks and [TS]

00:29:22   the wireless connection but if it's good [TS]

00:29:25   eventually your legs go numb and then [TS]

00:29:26   there's the paramedics arrived and it [TS]

00:29:30   just gets complicated Chris possible [TS]

00:29:31   there when you get back [TS]

00:29:32   speaking of paramedics you have going to [TS]

00:29:34   see that was gonna raise a glass to mr. [TS]

00:29:36   Fleishman yet [TS]

00:29:37   oh yes claims are a Glen had a little [TS]

00:29:39   thing we're going to look like he went [TS]

00:29:41   to the doctor for somebody like you're [TS]

00:29:42   talking about his heart and it was at [TS]

00:29:43   the end it turns out it was dr. Gregory [TS]

00:29:45   House and his heart grew three sizes [TS]

00:29:47   that day because they put a stint in it [TS]

00:29:49   and he's doing much better now [TS]

00:29:51   yes and tweeting role model that [TS]

00:29:52   incident we can tell that because he is [TS]

00:29:54   tweeting a belly and president if he can [TS]

00:29:56   do nothing else as if there because I [TS]

00:29:59   think he's only allowed to tweet now and [TS]

00:30:00   that's dangerous with the lens so all [TS]

00:30:02   best wishes to plant glad when you're [TS]

00:30:06   here raising my glass you can't tell i'm [TS]

00:30:08   picking up my glasses right in the [TS]

00:30:09   glasses i think which made me sad Khloe [TS]

00:30:11   will make the click noise again fully oh [TS]

00:30:13   that was a good clink may God bless all [TS]

00:30:15   who know it's raining is it raining [TS]

00:30:19   what is this what did you bring what [TS]

00:30:21   horrors the everything from outside for [TS]

00:30:23   do someone's at the door [TS]

00:30:24   I'm doing fully oh sorry what [TS]

00:30:28   who's that oh I better try and get drunk [TS]

00:30:31   open open open sound effect so the best [TS]

00:30:35   thing i saw at comic-con stephen fry but [TS]

00:30:38   it was stephen fry him he was not there [TS]

00:30:40   I don't think I didn't see him isolates [TS]

00:30:43   a little bit you can use your [TS]

00:30:44   differences i didn't see anybody famous [TS]

00:30:45   this time I idol because you didn't know [TS]

00:30:48   i didn't see draw just we know you're [TS]

00:30:50   just you didn't even go to the thing [TS]

00:30:52   that you pointed the no because you have [TS]

00:30:53   to you have to go if we line for like 12 [TS]

00:31:08   can't actually that's one of the things [TS]

00:31:09   they don't do at comic-con as you do [TS]

00:31:10   your press pass doesn't get you in early [TS]

00:31:12   afternoon last time that you could find [TS]

00:31:14   somebody near the frontal eye and say [TS]

00:31:45   by the way really really that was the I [TS]

00:31:47   was also wearing entire video i was i [TS]

00:31:50   was wearing a t-shirt with a whole limit [TS]

00:31:52   and shorts you know I have this image of [TS]

00:31:54   very lenient really embarrassed [TS]

00:31:56   alright one more sponsor for this week's [TS]

00:31:59   special edition of the incomparable it [TS]

00:32:03   is op do op tia is a beautiful and [TS]

00:32:06   intuitive puzzle game for iOS and it's [TS]

00:32:10   all about reflected light it seems [TS]

00:32:13   simple at first [TS]

00:32:14   every puzzle starts with a laser and [TS]

00:32:17   you've got one or more targets arranged [TS]

00:32:19   on a grid of hexagons you get a certain [TS]

00:32:23   number of mirrors it might be one in [TS]

00:32:24   white me might be many more than one you [TS]

00:32:27   have to place them on the grid so that [TS]

00:32:29   when you fire the laser it passes [TS]

00:32:31   through all the targets [TS]

00:32:32   it's that simple except it's actually [TS]

00:32:33   really not that simple it's very [TS]

00:32:35   challenging the gameplays mechanics are [TS]

00:32:41   simple but the there's a lot of variety [TS]

00:32:44   of the puzzles you've got a place these [TS]

00:32:45   reflectors you've got to set the [TS]

00:32:47   rotation so that the light bounces from [TS]

00:32:50   the laser off of the reflectors and hits [TS]

00:32:52   all of these targets there are a hundred [TS]

00:32:54   levels in the main campaign [TS]

00:32:56   they're all sorts of different solutions [TS]

00:32:58   to all the different problems so there [TS]

00:33:01   are lots of clever and unexpected you [TS]

00:33:04   solutions that you have to find as you [TS]

00:33:05   go based on how you place your mirrors i [TS]

00:33:08   played the first few levels today and [TS]

00:33:12   it's tricky it is certainly you've got [TS]

00:33:15   you've got to think and and consider [TS]

00:33:18   carefully about where you place your [TS]

00:33:20   mirrors are you blow up your laser and [TS]

00:33:21   then you have to you get to keep going [TS]

00:33:23   but it's really kind of [TS]

00:33:25   just conserving disappointed when you [TS]

00:33:27   blow up your own laser uh-huh [TS]

00:33:30   anyway after after 90 levels you will [TS]

00:33:31   still be discovering surprising new play [TS]

00:33:35   dynamics that you didn't think possible [TS]

00:33:37   from this simple set of controls and [TS]

00:33:41   when you think you've solved enough [TS]

00:33:43   puzzles [TS]

00:33:44   there's plenty more to come there's a [TS]

00:33:45   level editor that unlocks at that level [TS]

00:33:47   for free lets you create and upload your [TS]

00:33:50   own levels you also will then get access [TS]

00:33:53   to over a thousand levels created by [TS]

00:33:55   other players all sorted by difficulty [TS]

00:33:57   and reading so there's a whole lot to do [TS]

00:34:00   here and when you think you've cracked [TS]

00:34:01   it you'll find a whole other world that [TS]

00:34:03   unfolds right in front of you it's on [TS]

00:34:05   the app store again obvious for iOS it [TS]

00:35:33   just water please thank you thank you [TS]

00:35:35   studio audience levitation annotations [TS]

00:35:37   bottle order don't think the difference [TS]

00:35:39   is that's which will breathe so the bed [TS]

00:35:42   you see the picture of the guy standing [TS]

00:35:44   behind Stanley he weighs about 320 pat [TS]

00:35:47   you know I in when spider-man spider-man [TS]

00:35:51   and his amazing friends was on i think [TS]

00:35:53   it was and he was narrated by Stanley [TS]

00:35:55   I'm staying linda was doing ok now i [TS]

00:35:57   know he stands you will be introducing [TS]

00:35:58   something Stanley and he would say hey [TS]

00:36:00   everybody this is a really is on who's [TS]

00:36:02   Stanley and why do I care who he is is [TS]

00:36:04   that like the Fantastic Four's Butler is [TS]

00:36:06   that how they pronounce it Stanley they [TS]

00:36:07   just been always again Lee excelsior [TS]

00:36:11   excelsior exactly so the best thing I [TS]

00:36:14   saw a comic con bell d is a guy who [TS]

00:36:16   probably had a boba fett costume from a [TS]

00:36:19   previous something and he decided to [TS]

00:36:22   modify it and he painted it and the [TS]

00:36:24   colors the blue and white x-men and blue [TS]

00:36:26   blue and yellow x-men wolverine colors [TS]

00:36:29   nice and he extended the the helmet with [TS]

00:36:32   a little little pointy things that are [TS]

00:36:34   on Wolverines costume and I'd say it was [TS]

00:36:37   actually kind of awesome because it was [TS]

00:36:38   like if Wolverine and boba fett were one [TS]

00:36:40   guy he still have the like little LED [TS]

00:36:42   readout on the chest of life back from [TS]

00:36:45   Boba Fett and if you look closely that [TS]

00:36:48   all the contours were you know boba fett [TS]

00:36:50   helmet and stuff but it was painted like [TS]

00:36:52   wolverine and I thought it was a great i [TS]

00:36:54   thought it was really restored so that [TS]

00:36:56   was the best not only smart because you [TS]

00:36:58   get to save your boba fett armor but it [TS]

00:37:00   was it was funny and interesting in a [TS]

00:37:02   way that a lot of the costume for it so [TS]

00:37:03   hard I don't recognize out there and I [TS]

00:37:05   don't get cosplay at all when i was a [TS]

00:37:07   kid i actually refused to dress up in [TS]

00:37:08   costume when I want to turn all your 10 [TS]

00:37:11   joyless I did tyler layton I dressed up [TS]

00:37:13   i got it [TS]

00:37:14   well i did it i do boy and when I was [TS]

00:37:17   about ten no never [TS]

00:37:18   I was Captain Kirk one year I was the [TS]

00:37:20   main character derek wildstar from Star [TS]

00:37:24   Blazers at one year in my past man [TS]

00:37:26   one-year jeans and a t-shirt and then [TS]

00:37:29   we'll then I went to jeans and a t-shirt [TS]

00:37:30   and when people ask why was I said I was [TS]

00:37:32   a secret agent undercover [TS]

00:37:35   as a student this is for halloween yet [TS]

00:37:38   for hallways of uu predated the whole [TS]

00:37:40   I'm guy wearing a backpack in the front [TS]

00:37:42   crazed you probably started [TS]

00:37:44   oh man that would have been great was [TS]

00:37:45   the reason for the crap candy bowl that [TS]

00:37:47   we keep on Halloween every every year my [TS]

00:37:49   my favorite halloween costume is [TS]

00:37:51   hydrogen and chicken stick you know full [TS]

00:37:53   profile Michaels and Lisa pfizer have a [TS]

00:37:54   strict policy they have two balls they [TS]

00:37:56   have good ball and the bad absolutely [TS]

00:37:57   and if you have the terrible costume you [TS]

00:37:59   get the bad you got it you have to do [TS]

00:38:00   that really a backpack in the front man [TS]

00:38:03   should not be rewarded my neighborhood [TS]

00:38:05   is is is nerd yeah my name is a chicken [TS]

00:38:08   stick to that gap is dead on Halloween [TS]

00:38:09   and so we put opee clues get on live [TS]

00:38:12   where my neighborhood is dead [TS]

00:38:13   Oh nobody's going around and so there's [TS]

00:38:15   a ghost of your neighborhood that comes [TS]

00:38:17   and so we go over to my brother-in-law's [TS]

00:38:19   now purchases already well blood only on [TS]

00:38:22   that night so we become the family that [TS]

00:38:24   comes home we leave a bowl of candy out [TS]

00:38:26   there is gonna keep going comes home but [TS]

00:38:28   he's learned am talking because he never [TS]

00:38:31   gets a chance to speak again and so we [TS]

00:38:32   come home to a kid down jack-o'-lantern [TS]

00:38:34   an empty candy bowl [TS]

00:38:35   oh that's what halloween means to me [TS]

00:38:37   Lantern an empty candy kicked answer is [TS]

00:38:39   a jack-o-lantern as long as the old [TS]

00:38:41   Leslie used to what [TS]

00:38:42   motorcycles are here you know the songs [TS]

00:38:44   together every year and then one year we [TS]

00:38:46   just it's a really obvious that I've [TS]

00:38:47   stopped drinking and you guys have just [TS]

00:38:48   plowed right on i am perfectly sober [TS]

00:38:51   what are you talking about when you're [TS]

00:38:53   in right now field sobriety test get up [TS]

00:38:54   and do it [TS]

00:38:55   no I very bad sense of balance and [TS]

00:38:59   something to say about your bro you're [TS]

00:39:01   right the chair recognizes your do I [TS]

00:39:03   have the Talking Stick I don't that [TS]

00:39:06   would be impressive and it's not this [TS]

00:39:09   the Padres spring-training facility so [TS]

00:39:12   anyway we always got our our pumpkins [TS]

00:39:15   kicked and then one year the act yes I [TS]

00:39:17   don't you handsome instead of instead of [TS]

00:39:19   carving facing our pumpkin we actually [TS]

00:39:21   carved kick me huh nobody hit me [TS]

00:39:24   they were Sarah was a trick oh man [TS]

00:39:26   that's like brilliant reverse psychology [TS]

00:39:28   it worked [TS]

00:39:29   it totally works for you just took up [TS]

00:39:31   something incredibly violent and pump we [TS]

00:39:32   put a brick in it just in case but yeah [TS]

00:39:36   nobody bought while anyway [TS]

00:39:40   what the hell were we talking about I [TS]

00:39:42   don't know dressing up in costume and [TS]

00:39:43   how the hospital turn and we have this [TS]

00:39:45   phrase one [TS]

00:39:46   yeah well I know what I mean when I I I [TS]

00:39:50   wouldn't like costumes i just didn't I [TS]

00:39:51   didn't do it [TS]

00:39:52   I've at recently it recently i have worn [TS]

00:39:54   costume like things again through my my [TS]

00:39:58   wife so my I don't like where this is [TS]

00:40:01   going [TS]

00:40:01   you really don't low you really don't [TS]

00:40:03   sound Stephen Fry gonna come back into [TS]

00:40:05   the conversation at this voice his role [TS]

00:40:07   in in be for vendetta touch me [TS]

00:40:10   nice so my so might my marriage which is [TS]

00:40:14   going on [TS]

00:40:15   it's about being 19 years anyway there's [TS]

00:40:17   a gentleman coming this way with me [TS]

00:40:19   there with free beer yahoo who is now we [TS]

00:40:21   have less have danced it's not [TS]

00:40:23   uncomfortable and as he's our super [TS]

00:40:25   studio audience of one [TS]

00:40:26   yes so at 19 years of marriage [TS]

00:40:29   essentially she's been very carefully [TS]

00:40:31   deprogramming me this entire time [TS]

00:40:34   yay no is officially all the best [TS]

00:40:39   slow clap the water was going back for [TS]

00:40:43   Greg's water got a guy probably beer of [TS]

00:40:45   his own unique Steve charts clink all [TS]

00:40:48   that was we know they be empty i guess [TS]

00:40:50   i'm not so hot on these you'll have to [TS]

00:40:52   empty look like they're not part of idea [TS]

00:40:54   so my the deprogramming of my marriage [TS]

00:40:58   things like i did i'm driving to dinner [TS]

00:41:00   I didn't share food [TS]

00:41:01   I simply dinner here but I didn't share [TS]

00:41:04   food [TS]

00:41:05   I didn't eat vegetables I didn't eat [TS]

00:41:08   salad all of these things that I didn't [TS]

00:41:11   wear costumes and halloween very took [TS]

00:41:13   her salad shi shi handling the first [TS]

00:41:15   couple years of our relationship sharing [TS]

00:41:17   food first two three four years of our [TS]

00:41:19   relationship would you like snarl and [TS]

00:41:21   she asked for something awesome you're [TS]

00:41:22   late yeah earlier for i'll also pull [TS]

00:41:25   away the template so she couldn't get to [TS]

00:41:27   it nice [TS]

00:41:28   oh yeah so sad yeah it took but it took [TS]

00:41:32   like 17 16 years of our marriage before [TS]

00:41:34   she got me to wear a costume for [TS]

00:41:36   Halloween but she did thanks for that we [TS]

00:41:37   didn't we didn't we didn't uh she wore [TS]

00:41:40   something to put you and like you stop [TS]

00:41:43   her hair really tall to be like [TS]

00:41:44   Sigourney Weaver in Ghostbusters and I [TS]

00:41:47   had a Ghostbuster Sudan you were ripping [TS]

00:41:49   her own I was open to go with granite is [TS]

00:41:52   am so I was totally yes have some I was [TS]

00:41:55   totally a egon spengler I collect Morris [TS]

00:42:00   Sport sport mold spores and fungus [TS]

00:42:03   actually going to and you're in [TS]

00:42:05   ghostbusters is an awesome costume [TS]

00:42:06   because you can put the colander on your [TS]

00:42:08   head and just that the horn-rimmed [TS]

00:42:09   glasses and just like torture jeans and [TS]

00:42:12   you are happens close coordination with [TS]

00:42:14   the key masters walk around saying that [TS]

00:42:16   all night and that's a costume super [TS]

00:42:18   easy many slugs and Boris were for [TS]

00:42:21   burning the supplicants of Ultron I had [TS]

00:42:23   AI tell you [TS]

00:42:24   yeah ah but I still don't understand why [TS]

00:42:27   that ghost wants to help him loosen his [TS]

00:42:30   pants so he's more comfortable as your [TS]

00:42:33   wife work you should ask your wife to [TS]

00:42:35   explain it to you [TS]

00:42:36   she's waiting for the 20-year [TS]

00:42:39   anniversary for that with yeah that's a [TS]

00:42:40   good one [TS]

00:42:41   yeah oh dan Aykroyd he just he's a big [TS]

00:42:43   guy and he wants his pants to be off and [TS]

00:42:46   the ghost will help a lot of big guys [TS]

00:42:48   didn't slip any any so relieved when [TS]

00:42:50   they unbuttoned his pants [TS]

00:42:52   oh man and he falls off the bed which is [TS]

00:42:55   sad [TS]

00:42:55   it is sad yeah so Stephen Fry was all [TS]

00:42:59   the judge me [TS]

00:43:00   no it wasn't angry no it was a ghost [TS]

00:43:03   that he was dreaming you might have been [TS]

00:43:05   dreaming [TS]

00:43:06   it's possible wasn't dreaming to reel in [TS]

00:43:09   that unit only we had done a [TS]

00:43:10   Ghostbusters episode which we which we [TS]

00:43:13   didn't even know people can't find them [TS]

00:43:15   i missed that episode your website we [TS]

00:43:17   need a website we do with Slyke indexing [TS]

00:43:19   and tags and ya promised to do that [TS]

00:43:21   how's that going [TS]

00:43:23   now we're into the the personal business [TS]

00:43:25   unfortunate because he's done with his [TS]

00:43:27   appt is gonna start work on that that [TS]

00:43:31   first is going to do that app and then [TS]

00:43:32   he's going to become archive a TV door [TS]

00:43:35   don't forget the curl into a fetal ball [TS]

00:43:37   and cry time [TS]

00:43:38   oh that's good that's good that always [TS]

00:43:40   jumps to the top of the sort of thing we [TS]

00:43:41   talked about before batteries run out in [TS]

00:43:43   this excellent rambling beer later in [TS]

00:43:46   the episode of being controlled and we [TS]

00:43:47   chose 20 we tested we toasted glam toast [TS]

00:43:50   again [TS]

00:43:50   all right you know you're on a two way I [TS]

00:43:52   think hey glad better that's something a [TS]

00:43:54   little bit better a little i'm still not [TS]

00:43:57   satisfied with his glasses no better [TS]

00:44:00   when they're better when they're empty [TS]

00:44:01   they don't click properly that's what we [TS]

00:44:02   need all its better there's two empties [TS]

00:44:05   don't hold the top of it hold it by the [TS]

00:44:07   stand right here at home using a break [TS]

00:44:09   in my life [TS]

00:44:10   oh my gosh can't ask if you're so fat [TS]

00:44:13   are you going now Jason's ears are [TS]

00:44:14   bleeding [TS]

00:44:15   yeah that adds a little it sounded what [TS]

00:44:17   it's not a very very good [TS]

00:44:19   so Steve how did you start reading [TS]

00:44:20   comics I didn't you read comics and all [TS]

00:44:23   but I used to read a comic book from [TS]

00:44:25   time to time when we were on family [TS]

00:44:28   vacation trips [TS]

00:44:29   why then you know what is we would stop [TS]

00:44:31   auto stores and strategies or something [TS]

00:44:33   yeah there'd be a spinny racks you know [TS]

00:44:35   like three be like Archie least we [TS]

00:44:39   rented an RV and we went to like a [TS]

00:44:41   glacier national park or something out [TS]

00:44:43   and do something most memorable trip I [TS]

00:44:46   don't we did go to Glacier National Park [TS]

00:44:47   and yellows I just know that it was cold [TS]

00:44:49   cold and barren LOL expect my hairstyle [TS]

00:44:52   is here to see if we run we said it was [TS]

00:44:54   summer but at some point along this trip [TS]

00:44:57   because it there without those were the [TS]

00:44:59   exciting parts and they're very long [TS]

00:45:02   drives right so we're in this motor home [TS]

00:45:03   park somewhere [TS]

00:45:04   yeah and they had comics but they didn't [TS]

00:45:07   have to spin Iraq they have like a pile [TS]

00:45:09   of used comics with the covers ripped [TS]

00:45:10   off and I remember that very clearly [TS]

00:45:12   that was one of the first comics i read [TS]

00:45:13   with some random DC I looked up whatever [TS]

00:45:16   what I actually know what issue it was [TS]

00:45:18   now but it was like a DC that it was the [TS]

00:45:20   DC equivalent of Marvel team-up where [TS]

00:45:22   they would like stick heroes editors it [TS]

00:45:24   was like Adam and flash and Supergirl [TS]

00:45:27   all end up in a exciting storyline but I [TS]

00:45:31   thought it was actually cross grand [TS]

00:45:32   adventure [TS]

00:45:33   yeah with the cover of dog i remember [TS]

00:45:35   reading a lot of Archie little Richie [TS]

00:45:37   Rich are to Casper Wow [TS]

00:45:39   I remember when you're ahead a was a [TS]

00:45:41   paperback and I wish to God I still had [TS]

00:45:43   this it was like the first eight or ten [TS]

00:45:45   issues of the amazing spider-man that I [TS]

00:45:49   guess it's the dicta Simon heard of it [TS]

00:45:50   taking so the code that Mike to get that [TS]

00:45:53   mic today [TS]

00:45:54   that's how to manage not as good that [TS]

00:45:57   was all it was all about football and [TS]

00:45:58   Peter Parker was was suddenly the tight [TS]

00:46:00   end of your shirts and use we got [TS]

00:46:02   reprints of the original spider-man [TS]

00:46:04   comic books recently and their silly [TS]

00:46:07   they are they're very silly opposite the [TS]

00:46:10   villain creation in that period was [TS]

00:46:13   ridiculous a guy with a fish bowl on his [TS]

00:46:15   head and then there's smoke when i sent [TS]

00:46:17   a letter and these are doing electro in [TS]

00:46:19   the new movie right electro yeah I'm not [TS]

00:46:21   gonna do his classical mask [TS]

00:46:23   no because that seems really impractical [TS]

00:46:24   know that he's on the cover of [TS]

00:46:26   Entertainment Weekly he's got a lot of [TS]

00:46:28   cello involved with there's 10 there's [TS]

00:46:30   like that's any lightning and Wolverine [TS]

00:46:32   is the only guy who can pull off the I [TS]

00:46:33   coverings that come up mask-like Scarlet [TS]

00:46:35   Witch looks ridiculous [TS]

00:46:37   yeah and electro were hit with you [TS]

00:46:39   everything i'll have like I can't turn [TS]

00:46:40   that happens only once you get zapped [TS]

00:46:43   and you become an electrical of super [TS]

00:46:45   villain and you think to yourself I need [TS]

00:46:47   lightning bolts on my costume just to [TS]

00:46:49   communicate the pain he was a chargers [TS]

00:46:50   fan be there are there is no such thing [TS]

00:46:53   as possible [TS]

00:46:55   zing we're seeing a girl with some local [TS]

00:46:57   flavor that national league west yeah [TS]

00:46:59   about that think I'm so happy the Padres [TS]

00:47:02   are breaking the fall of the Giants [TS]

00:47:04   that's what we're to watch me and making [TS]

00:47:06   dreams come to our the opposition for [TS]

00:47:07   your the mattress you guys are already [TS]

00:47:09   going to see the little name that we [TS]

00:47:10   left scratched in the wall of the [TS]

00:47:12   basement now that you're down there [TS]

00:47:13   together [TS]

00:47:15   you'll be bad we'll keep it warm for ya [TS]

00:47:17   yeah it's like the Dodgers later for a [TS]

00:47:19   very long time we actually like the [TS]

00:47:22   truly exciting [TS]

00:47:25   there's like six thousand here hikers [TS]

00:47:27   down there and then at the end it just [TS]

00:47:28   says la the bikers are our hero singer [TS]

00:47:31   no that wasn't the bikers yeah there was [TS]

00:47:33   launched an opportunity for intelligent [TS]

00:47:35   their hangout [TS]

00:47:36   yeah it's true it's true we got sent to [TS]

00:47:39   any way i can i started writing comedy [TS]

00:47:40   team so so so Greg you always see how [TS]

00:47:43   much already [TS]

00:47:44   personally I Greg is trying to be the [TS]

00:47:46   host and actually keep us on topic [TS]

00:47:47   because I really one who's sober [TS]

00:47:49   this is not that kind podcast i sharma i [TS]

00:47:53   started reading comics and then i [TS]

00:47:54   discovered the yes and no invisible ink [TS]

00:47:56   books and everything haha I never gonna [TS]

00:47:59   because three-axle your way so so good [TS]

00:48:03   there was an ass so students to get him [TS]

00:48:05   I got somewhere to study somewhere in [TS]

00:48:07   Wyoming there's anyone notices from ages [TS]

00:48:09   16 to six thousand senators and you can [TS]

00:48:12   still play fleet with that if you like [TS]

00:48:15   and I got a mad libs book the other day [TS]

00:48:17   yea though still debating with myself [TS]

00:48:18   sort of thing you would expect for [TS]

00:48:20   children's reasoning with modern [TS]

00:48:21   sensibilities it was awful and we had to [TS]

00:48:23   punish the multiple times getting back [TS]

00:48:25   to a science fiction based sort of [TS]

00:48:28   discussion i should point out that my [TS]

00:48:30   daughter is in charge of the podcast [TS]

00:48:31   know who else would like to host my [TS]

00:48:33   daughter and I are your audience can [TS]

00:48:35   host are in the process of slowly [TS]

00:48:37   watching Star Trek the motion picture [TS]

00:48:38   right now or as i like to call us if [TS]

00:48:40   that's the only way to watch it slowly [TS]

00:48:42   because it's so small i like to call it [TS]

00:48:44   slope and the news all over they pay [TS]

00:48:46   tweets we paid a lot of money for these [TS]

00:48:48   special effects so you're gonna watch [TS]

00:48:50   them all how many times are you gonna [TS]

00:48:51   use the guy floating in the fourth god [TS]

00:48:54   you believe a man could fly that was the [TS]

00:48:56   effects were there is no fun [TS]

00:48:58   what's funny is the starter to reuse a [TS]

00:49:00   lot of those effects but they cut them [TS]

00:49:02   it properly so if you get the same [TS]

00:49:05   effect but it takes like 30 seconds [TS]

00:49:07   instead of eight minutes [TS]

00:49:09   I think my favorite thing is that they [TS]

00:49:10   kinda forgot to give bones anything to [TS]

00:49:12   do so during like his experiments on the [TS]

00:49:15   bridge they'll have him like kind of [TS]

00:49:16   wander in and look pissed off as he [TS]

00:49:19   always does and then just stopped on the [TS]

00:49:20   bridge and then I'll come back a few [TS]

00:49:22   minutes later and all that still going [TS]

00:49:23   on happy [TS]

00:49:24   I should have kept my damn beard he's [TS]

00:49:27   good that's not a you know that that [TS]

00:49:29   that was such a mess because they were [TS]

00:49:30   going to do a TV show they're gonna [TS]

00:49:32   relaunch the TV show I have to ask that [TS]

00:49:34   and then the evidence room they were [TS]

00:49:35   gonna get started or two so that ended [TS]

00:49:37   that the potential for a second TV show [TS]

00:49:39   ya when server same size Star Wars came [TS]

00:49:42   out they went oh my god people are going [TS]

00:49:43   to sanction around was gonna launch [TS]

00:49:45   their own TV network which they ended up [TS]

00:49:46   doing 20 years later so something for [TS]

00:49:48   you p n how did that work out and yeah [TS]

00:49:50   some boys from outer space and then it [TS]

00:49:52   went off here so so then what they did [TS]

00:49:55   was Star Wars came out it was a big hit [TS]

00:49:57   and suddenly star trek looked like it [TS]

00:49:59   was a property that might have some [TS]

00:50:00   value but what they did was they took [TS]

00:50:01   like this really kind of lame TV episode [TS]

00:50:04   that was kind of like old other TV [TS]

00:50:07   episodes off the shelf and they use the [TS]

00:50:09   existing steps and this one that wasn't [TS]

00:50:11   good enough for third season [TS]

00:50:12   yeah it was good enough and some dinner [TS]

00:50:15   right now we're gonna just do it again i [TS]

00:50:18   am so mad a snowman feature they're all [TS]

00:50:21   the same for you lined up for hours [TS]

00:50:24   where you never gone into Star Trek and [TS]

00:50:25   then oh well [TS]

00:50:26   unbelievably the first off this was like [TS]

00:50:28   79 so I was eight years old I know but a [TS]

00:50:30   lot of people with that here and and I [TS]

00:50:32   lived in a small town so I mean I saw it [TS]

00:50:35   you hear about it I saw it in the [TS]

00:50:36   theater music but it was much more like [TS]

00:50:38   you know the address is correct when you [TS]

00:50:41   went to the theater no but that was one [TS]

00:50:42   of my only halloween costume with him [TS]

00:50:44   all the costumes actually so he went he [TS]

00:50:46   went to Star Trek the motion picture [TS]

00:50:47   grandmother got me a yellow surely [TS]

00:50:49   traumatized and shot out a jeans patch [TS]

00:50:52   in the shape of the symbol and ironed it [TS]

00:50:54   onto my shirt and I was my costume mom [TS]

00:50:56   and she she's so be an enabler mom sewed [TS]

00:50:58   some little stripes around for the [TS]

00:51:00   cleanup goals amazed you do things yet [TS]

00:51:03   exactly do you think I like he's got [TS]

00:51:05   clubbing sure that's my that's my [TS]

00:51:06   favorite of silicon so at comic-con if I [TS]

00:51:09   i was thinking if you was a walk past [TS]

00:51:11   because they had the alternate fat Kirk [TS]

00:51:13   lounging costume is available for [TS]

00:51:15   purchase and I thought man i'm so [TS]

00:51:17   tempted to get these bad current [TS]

00:51:19   encouraging costume with everything [TS]

00:51:21   simple down at the waist sideways like [TS]

00:51:24   to accentuate the gut [TS]

00:51:26   I guess I've seen a lot of Kirk shirts [TS]

00:51:27   but the yacht club was just amazing to [TS]

00:51:29   see some rockin sperry topsiders it is [TS]

00:51:32   so down below [TS]

00:51:33   below you yeah they finally introduced [TS]

00:51:36   the bridge chair seat belt was nice so [TS]

00:51:39   i'm pretty sure to point of it again [TS]

00:51:40   again again i'm pretty sure that I told [TS]

00:51:44   my parents I want to go see the movie [TS]

00:51:45   and we went and saw the movie at some [TS]

00:51:47   point but I was not really i'm not a [TS]

00:51:49   line waiter [TS]

00:51:50   I don't like like comic-con I'm not [TS]

00:51:52   interested in waiting in lines joss [TS]

00:51:54   whedon you know Buffy the Vampire Slayer [TS]

00:51:56   is my favorite TV show of all time and [TS]

00:51:58   joss whedon was speaking at comic-con [TS]

00:52:01   and I could have seen the guy who made [TS]

00:52:03   not only you know movies and other TV [TS]

00:52:05   shows that i liked but my favorite show [TS]

00:52:07   of all time and I and I said but I'm [TS]

00:52:09   gonna have to wait in line for nine [TS]

00:52:11   hours to see him [TS]

00:52:12   no not interested I'll just enjoy his [TS]

00:52:14   art I don't need to do that so you know [TS]

00:52:17   I'm not a line waiter it's gonna be [TS]

00:52:19   available works once you've entered the [TS]

00:52:21   panel with the guy that you like then [TS]

00:52:23   you have to endure the guys that lineup [TS]

00:52:24   and ask the dumbest dummies questions [TS]

00:52:26   and a moderators are often terrible to [TS]

00:52:29   waited nine hours and then still there [TS]

00:52:31   two operators done that we're familiar [TS]

00:52:33   with you so much [TS]

00:52:34   so josh Josh and tell me o Sweden are [TS]

00:52:39   you from sweet [TS]

00:52:40   no all right so tell me about the [TS]

00:52:44   Avengers that was the first thing you [TS]

00:52:46   have done right though the guy would [TS]

00:52:47   have done that and thought it was a [TS]

00:52:48   great joke and then we walked off his [TS]

00:52:50   big smile and jealous [TS]

00:52:51   tell me about the Black Widow and it [TS]

00:52:55   she's a strong female character are you [TS]

00:52:57   interested in strong women characters [TS]

00:52:59   oh my god you know but thats comic-con [TS]

00:53:02   panels are often moderated by idiots [TS]

00:53:04   from if you had a chance to meet him [TS]

00:53:06   one-on-one with you [TS]

00:53:07   oh yeah yeah maybe it's not even care [TS]

00:53:10   about if it was if it was something [TS]

00:53:12   where I wasn't bothering him I i I'm [TS]

00:53:14   before the prequels so this this is [TS]

00:53:15   makes more sense i live in marin county [TS]

00:53:18   where where where George Lucas lips and [TS]

00:53:21   lauren and i saw him at the shopping [TS]

00:53:25   mall at Christmas with his daughters and [TS]

00:53:28   where we're having lunch at the [TS]

00:53:30   restaurant at the shopping mall and and [TS]

00:53:32   a virtual kiss you but you're gonna [TS]

00:53:33   drive in on your not getting better and [TS]

00:53:35   that's that's exactly it so so I had a [TS]

00:53:38   few other encounters like that were like [TS]

00:53:39   you know what my gift to you is I'm not [TS]

00:53:41   gonna bug you [TS]

00:53:42   you made stuff i liked again if the [TS]

00:53:45   prequels have been out about [TS]

00:53:46   you but no it's that's when he started [TS]

00:53:50   going on with security [TS]

00:53:51   I don't need to bug you i don't need to [TS]

00:53:53   bug these people if I if Joss Whedon [TS]

00:53:56   what like um at macworld expo i was on a [TS]

00:53:58   panel on the main stage it was after the [TS]

00:54:01   session that had larbert minute and so I [TS]

00:54:04   was in the green room and levar burton [TS]

00:54:05   was in the green room and i said hi de [TS]

00:54:07   levar burton and he you know and he was [TS]

00:54:09   really nice and actually i just said hi [TS]

00:54:11   to him and he nodded and hiding the [TS]

00:54:13   Reading Rainbow and then I i was so [TS]

00:54:14   tempted and then when he left he liked [TS]

00:54:17   actually made a point of saying goodbye [TS]

00:54:18   to everybody and likely given glide nice [TS]

00:54:20   meeting you and I was like oh my god [TS]

00:54:22   that keeps the nice guy [TS]

00:54:23   Geordi LaForge she's so nice this basic [TS]

00:54:25   social soils so just reading rainbow if [TS]

00:54:28   I believe us if I could talk to him [TS]

00:54:29   sure i would not say you know I love [TS]

00:54:31   your work i love Buffy it's my favorite [TS]

00:54:32   show of all time but if I ran into a [TS]

00:54:35   bike on the street somewhere i would i [TS]

00:54:36   would probably just dodged him because [TS]

00:54:38   I'd be like he doesn't need another [TS]

00:54:39   fanboy bugging him [TS]

00:54:41   I've changed my policy in that if I get [TS]

00:54:42   a chance to talk to somebody whose work [TS]

00:54:44   I really love i decided not to do it [TS]

00:54:45   just because I inevitably make an ass [TS]

00:54:47   out of myself [TS]

00:54:48   yeah I got it I got it I got it I got it [TS]

00:54:51   all together and Colton and I mentioned [TS]

00:54:53   that simply for John Syracuse and sits [TS]

00:54:56   right but I was a hundred eyes internet [TS]

00:54:58   are you thinking i was at i was in all I [TS]

00:55:01   was at untied more I and so I much [TS]

00:55:03   rather would have just come back and [TS]

00:55:05   said I and myself inside my head I [TS]

00:55:07   really enjoy your work i'm not going to [TS]

00:55:09   attempt to converse with you to remember [TS]

00:55:12   that time when you made the song that [TS]

00:55:14   did the funny thing and I really enjoyed [TS]

00:55:16   that and you can remove from encoder [TS]

00:55:18   lyrics that you cover [TS]

00:55:19   come on Rocky yet no accident the good [TS]

00:55:22   thing about me interviewing jonathan [TS]

00:55:24   coulton was that although I know his [TS]

00:55:26   stuff i'm not a totally insane fan so i [TS]

00:55:28   was able to be like I'm because you're [TS]

00:55:29   wrong I'm conversing in your work while [TS]

00:55:30   I get stuff but I've conversion to not [TS]

00:55:32   enough but lot so nuts about it that I'm [TS]

00:55:35   gonna be like I like your hair it's so [TS]

00:55:38   pretty right continuing here he's gonna [TS]

00:55:40   approach celebrities the key is just [TS]

00:55:42   walk up to mingle [TS]

00:55:43   hey Jonathan yeah and then just leave it [TS]

00:55:45   at that that assumes that you're some [TS]

00:55:46   sort of social functioning adult which [TS]

00:55:48   it clearly [TS]

00:55:49   ok [TS]

00:55:49   yeah at cyc what I asked you the other [TS]

00:55:52   thing is I Bobby I have pity on them [TS]

00:55:54   because i know that George Lucas [TS]

00:55:55   probably has people coming up to him all [TS]

00:55:56   the time saying i love it i was right [TS]

00:55:58   and he's likely not so much you know I'm [TS]

00:56:00   not much mind actually actually have you [TS]

00:56:03   approached him he runs away dude you [TS]

00:56:04   totally didn't ruin your first couple of [TS]

00:56:06   movies [TS]

00:56:07   yeah I liked American Graffiti that's i [TS]

00:56:11   have so been ten i'm going to American [TS]

00:56:12   Graffiti con empty myself in tempted to [TS]

00:56:16   come on the feeling is 42 at this point [TS]

00:56:17   and tell them about some of your secure [TS]

00:56:19   right tell the site saying i love to it [TS]

00:56:22   well so at the macro party at the Apple [TS]

00:56:24   Developer Conference damon wayans was [TS]

00:56:25   there and of course and left because [TS]

00:56:28   he's a totally makes sense [TS]

00:56:30   I I know well first off there was the [TS]

00:56:31   whole is that really damon wayans can [TS]

00:56:33   release a nap and I can soar am or I [TS]

00:56:35   might let you know my ad so Damon Wayans [TS]

00:56:39   their inch and a dam or in lex friedman [TS]

00:56:42   I look at each other creations for [TS]

00:56:44   whoo-hoo will go up to him and say damon [TS]

00:56:47   wayans I loved us banana man in beverly [TS]

00:56:50   hills cop who will do that I want to do [TS]

00:56:53   is obscure have you done anything since [TS]

00:56:55   then and nobody would do that and I [TS]

00:56:58   didn't even say hi to matt damon wayans [TS]

00:57:00   i was doing all i would have been doing [TS]

00:57:02   was collecting him to say I met David [TS]

00:57:04   wait once and I don't need to bug that [TS]

00:57:06   guy for that suddenly imagine you have a [TS]

00:57:08   dr's in your house and the celebrities [TS]

00:57:10   you going out of them just wait in your [TS]

00:57:12   next [TS]

00:57:13   now i'm just i'm not gonna attempt to [TS]

00:57:17   having relations with people like glass [TS]

00:57:20   I that was totally Stephen Fry bring him [TS]

00:57:24   up [TS]

00:57:25   stephen Fry's just even try right [TS]

00:57:28   yeah I played some little big planet [TS]

00:57:29   recently and his work on that is [TS]

00:57:31   fantastic [TS]

00:57:56   the soundtrack all should I should do [TS]

00:57:58   that it's fantastic i'm gonna stop that [TS]

00:58:00   right now because it did some things [TS]

00:58:01   that I'm not too pleased with some of [TS]

00:58:03   the characters but we have which lasts a [TS]

00:58:06   lot of us which i think i may be in the [TS]

00:58:09   top maybe three games I've ever wanted [TS]

00:58:12   I've heard nothing but good things about [TS]

00:58:13   it and I'm not buying a ps3 to play [TS]

00:58:15   there yeah I've all I almost would [TS]

00:58:17   recommend it so the best the best and [TS]

00:58:19   only only if that was kind of your if [TS]

00:58:21   you were a horror / end of the world I [TS]

00:58:24   just got it i just got it and that's [TS]

00:58:26   amazing legs on the angry testiness on [TS]

00:58:28   downloading everything I portal is very [TS]

00:58:31   good tonight for ninety percent of what [TS]

00:58:32   I put into from 20 or 30 years ago I I [TS]

00:58:35   didn't get to see it two weeks ago so [TS]

00:58:37   i'm a i'm a last generation console guy [TS]

00:58:39   i discovered because i'm not i'm not so [TS]

00:58:40   into x6 box so here's the fixed-wing [TS]

00:58:43   aircraft will get that in a lifestyle [TS]

00:58:45   nine blocks in the last month nine [TS]

00:58:47   months i bought an xbox 360 and ps3 and [TS]

00:58:50   i have i've had the wii for a while and [TS]

00:58:52   I talked hardcore debate game we've had [TS]

00:58:53   three years I had a hardcore gamer like [TS]

00:58:57   I don't have the grades might nobody's [TS]

00:58:58   playing the wii anymore and it's like I [TS]

00:59:01   I've got kids and their plan that we all [TS]

00:59:04   the time yeah holiday well 11 is [TS]

00:59:07   literally yeah well you know i'll just [TS]

00:59:11   edit all this out yeah sure this will be [TS]

00:59:13   at this will be exercised opposed no in [TS]

00:59:14   TV podcast which preceded the [TS]

00:59:17   uncomfortable in there were three [TS]

00:59:18   episodes of it there was an entire Andy [TS]

00:59:21   Rooney style si yes from Steve let the [TS]

00:59:23   superb where he discussed the wii and [TS]

00:59:26   how would make it go blind if used to [TS]

00:59:28   close anyway there's all that shaking [TS]

00:59:32   and jiggling and I'm not going to people [TS]

00:59:34   and I think you got you got you that you [TS]

00:59:36   cut the round one hand and you see [TS]

00:59:40   you're selling on the [TS]

00:59:42   looking good i have been but I've been [TS]

00:59:43   linked to the silence so are speaking of [TS]

00:59:47   the ps3 why have we not played MLB 2013 [TS]

00:59:50   we should all my daughter is actually [TS]

00:59:52   playing that more than I think it's good [TS]

00:59:53   it's good it's a good game [TS]

00:59:55   I find it a relief from the actual [TS]

00:59:57   season [TS]

00:59:58   oh yeah material [TS]

00:59:58   oh yeah material [TS]

01:00:00   me too that's good [TS]

01:00:03   they want a simple video gasps fantasy [TS]

01:00:05   leagues are destroying loyalty to sports [TS]

01:00:08   teams [TS]

01:00:09   yeah I actually almost sort of like some [TS]

01:00:10   of the Dodgers now well that's because i [TS]

01:00:12   had my team a couple years my kid plays [TS]

01:00:14   MLB 13 right and he keeps trading [TS]

01:00:17   Yankees onto his version of the daughter [TS]

01:00:19   my god is unheard early things that are [TS]

01:00:21   unforgivable and he did he is totally [TS]

01:00:23   unapologetic wow he says look at my [TS]

01:00:26   Ichiro in a Dodgers uniform just a [TS]

01:00:28   homeowner was not a Yankee he's a [TS]

01:00:29   mariner where is he now what we want to [TS]

01:00:31   do anything that would put it on its [TS]

01:00:33   it's like a virus you catch it and you [TS]

01:00:35   have it forever i should say that Greg [TS]

01:00:36   is the proprietor of a fine twitter [TS]

01:00:38   account called yankees lose which only [TS]

01:00:40   tweets when the Yankees little like that [TS]

01:00:41   again it's gonna follow it i recommend [TS]

01:00:44   it to everyone at E follows Yankees West [TS]

01:00:46   it's ironic [TS]

01:00:48   yeah it is it is now you will get a [TS]

01:00:51   little taste of what it's like to [TS]

01:00:52   horribly over win a for your victories [TS]

01:00:55   that you will get and everyone will hate [TS]

01:00:57   you [TS]

01:00:57   good job this know how much parking is a [TS]

01:01:00   Dodger Stadium this is 10 box you know [TS]

01:01:01   what I paid to park four blocks from [TS]

01:01:03   petco park and and AT&T Park 20 by the [TS]

01:01:07   way or do we get paid for those hot koan [TS]

01:01:09   AT&T references value [TS]

01:01:10   yes this is in addition to 23andme this [TS]

01:01:13   episode is brought to you by Petco in [TS]

01:01:14   Petco for all your pet with the pets go [TS]

01:01:18   AT&T what's their slogan now we get to [TS]

01:01:23   my argument not really anymore will be [TS]

01:01:25   on your less not be with you in a moment [TS]

01:01:26   according to how you log into a website [TS]

01:01:28   ok connecting people 8080 yes love that [TS]

01:01:33   80's or bars and surrounded by about [TS]

01:01:35   like 90 90 acres of parking imagine that [TS]

01:01:40   you build a stadium we're so [TS]

01:01:41   short-handed for their money that you [TS]

01:01:44   paid to park at petcopark I bet you [TS]
