00:08:29 ◼   ► down from the starfield to a ship or a [TS]

00:08:31 ◼   ► planet or you know something in space [TS]

00:08:33 ◼   ► imagine if this movie started with a [TS]

00:08:36 ◼   ► long time ago in a galaxy far far away [TS]

00:08:38 ◼   ► and then just immediately cut to some [TS]

00:08:40 ◼   ► somebody running through corridors while [TS]

00:08:41 ◼   ► sirens are blaring and things explode [TS]

00:08:43 ◼   ► around them that would be so new so [TS]

00:08:46 ◼   ► shocking i mean it's not new in [TS]

00:08:48 ◼   ► cinematic terms but for star wars that [TS]

00:08:50 ◼   ► would be so on you yes you know that [TS]

00:08:52 ◼   ► would be upsetting that would be [TS]

00:08:54 ◼   ► upsetting when I expect the first shot [TS]

00:08:56 ◼   ► to be a bloody ship that's why I'm going [TS]

00:08:57 ◼   ► to see stars now I can be upsetting in a [TS]

00:09:47 ◼   ► trailer for this the teaser trailer for [TS]

00:09:48 ◼   ► this immediately had me interested [TS]

00:09:52 ◼   ► partly because just a bit because of the [TS]

00:09:53 ◼   ► story that there [TS]

00:09:55 ◼   ► they're doing but then this trailer [TS]

00:09:57 ◼   ► especially this trailer really got me [TS]

00:09:59 ◼   ► and I started to think I mean maybe it's [TS]

00:10:03 ◼   ► hyperbolic it to say that I might [TS]

00:10:05 ◼   ► actually enjoy these more than the saga [TS]

00:10:07 ◼   ► movies that's probably not true but I do [TS]

00:10:10 ◼   ► feel I'm going to enjoy these a lot [TS]

00:10:12 ◼   ► because there is something about these [TS]

00:10:13 ◼   ► that appeals to the same part of me that [TS]

00:10:16 ◼   ► the star wars role-playing game appeal [TS]

00:10:19 ◼   ► to me which is you know this idea of [TS]

00:10:21 ◼   ► what happens away from the heroes what [TS]

00:10:24 ◼   ► happens in the other parts of the galaxy [TS]

00:10:27 ◼   ► that hard and Luke on tin and not just [TS]

00:10:30 ◼   ► at different times at the same time but [TS]

00:10:33 ◼   ► just in a different physical place what [TS]

00:10:36 ◼   ► is happening there but you know I feel I [TS]

00:10:39 ◼   ► feel like I feel like the diversity of [TS]

00:10:40 ◼   ► the games is something that they [TS]

00:10:41 ◼   ► actually have an opportunity in you know [TS]

00:10:44 ◼   ► this trailer we see a lot more emphasis [TS]

00:10:46 ◼   ► on the wars part of souls it was like a [TS]

00:10:48 ◼   ► war film like where Eagles dare or [TS]

00:10:50 ◼   ► something like that and and i love the [TS]

00:10:52 ◼   ► notion that who knows we could get we [TS]

00:10:55 ◼   ► could get a a rogue squadron you know [TS]

00:10:58 ◼   ► game type movie narrative out of doing [TS]

00:11:01 ◼   ► something with black squadron from the [TS]

00:11:03 ◼   ► new twilight saga trilogy of films [TS]

00:11:06 ◼   ► there's there's no reason they couldn't [TS]

00:11:07 ◼   ► do a side story that just stars oscar [TS]

00:11:10 ◼   ► isaac and snapbacks Lee and all those [TS]

00:11:11 ◼   ► guys there's there's possibility that [TS]

00:11:14 ◼   ► the han solo movie is going to be [TS]

00:11:16 ◼   ► treasure island and space which disney [TS]

00:11:18 ◼   ► tried to do in animated form and failed [TS]

00:11:20 ◼   ► miserably but as a Star Wars movie maybe [TS]

00:11:22 ◼   ► it worked great and I I like being able [TS]

00:11:24 ◼   ► to move away from the the the family [TS]

00:11:29 ◼   ► saga destined chosen one hero narrative [TS]

00:11:32 ◼   ► and and get to play around in this [TS]

00:11:33 ◼   ► universe and interesting ways and we [TS]

00:11:36 ◼   ► even get you know some of the things [TS]

00:11:37 ◼   ► that we see more of in this trailer are [TS]

00:11:39 ◼   ► elements that the George Lucas developed [TS]

00:11:41 ◼   ► for the Star Wars underworld TV series [TS]

00:11:44 ◼   ► that never happened and may never happen [TS]

00:11:45 ◼   ► in the in the form that it was [TS]

00:11:47 ◼   ► originally envisioned and I you know I i [TS]

00:11:50 ◼   ► like i like that we're getting to to [TS]

00:11:52 ◼   ► play with different toys in the set in a [TS]

00:11:54 ◼   ► in a live-action film way that we've [TS]

00:11:57 ◼   ► only seen in games like the force [TS]

00:11:59 ◼   ► unleashed or rogue squadron or knights [TS]

00:12:06 ◼   ► sustained the star wars universe when [TS]

00:12:08 ◼   ► there have been those big gaps in movie [TS]

00:12:12 ◼   ► the original Western games role-playing [TS]

00:12:14 ◼   ► game which was released on the 10th [TS]

00:12:16 ◼   ► anniversary of the original style was [TS]

00:12:18 ◼   ► way back in the day but that'll jog yeah [TS]

00:12:20 ◼   ► that's just me showing my age i was i'm [TS]

00:12:23 ◼   ► i'm literally return of the jedi years [TS]

00:12:36 ◼   ► trailer actually sort of evokes a bit of [TS]

00:12:41 ◼   ► know what's happening in the rest of the [TS]

00:12:42 ◼   ► world and the this this trailer actually [TS]

00:12:47 ◼   ► has me I I am genuinely more excited and [TS]

00:12:51 ◼   ► I loved force awakens but I'm genuinely [TS]

00:12:53 ◼   ► more excited about this trailer and the [TS]

00:12:58 ◼   ► only thing that I can put my finger on [TS]

00:13:00 ◼   ► why that is because that seems so wrong [TS]

00:13:02 ◼   ► you know this is this is this is slotted [TS]

00:13:06 ◼   ► in the continuity force awakens was new [TS]

00:13:08 ◼   ► story and yet up when I was seeing force [TS]

00:13:12 ◼   ► awakens trailers I was wondering how JJ [TS]

00:13:14 ◼   ► Abrams was going to screw it up this act [TS]

00:13:19 ◼   ► this has to fit into the canyon that was [TS]

00:13:21 ◼   ► established by 26 movies and clone wars [TS]

00:13:25 ◼   ► not the rest of the expanded universe [TS]

00:13:27 ◼   ► and all this other stuff although we [TS]

00:13:29 ◼   ► actually have a clone wars character [TS]

00:13:31 ◼   ► that appears in this movie but there's a [TS]

00:13:37 ◼   ► certain amount of this feels comfortable [TS]

00:13:39 ◼   ► this feels familiar these are the [TS]

00:13:41 ◼   ► stormtroopers that I that look the most [TS]

00:13:45 ◼   ► like they did back then most of them [TS]

00:13:47 ◼   ► this feels like it fits in to the past [TS]

00:13:52 ◼   ► so it's it's really scratching [TS]

00:13:54 ◼   ► scratching that nostalgia itch that Liz [TS]

00:13:56 ◼   ► was talking about I'm a little [TS]

00:13:57 ◼   ► embarrassed about it myself though [TS]

00:13:59 ◼   ► because I shouldn't I be excited about [TS]

00:14:01 ◼   ► the newness the fact that this is a war [TS]

00:14:03 ◼   ► movie set in the star wars universe that [TS]

00:14:05 ◼   ► should look so different and yet there's [TS]

00:14:07 ◼   ► so much of it that looks so familiar [TS]

00:14:09 ◼   ► right doesn't look different at all yeah [TS]

00:14:11 ◼   ► i think there's also i think you've [TS]

00:14:13 ◼   ► touched on something that I i I've only [TS]

00:14:16 ◼   ► just sort of reeling herself but at your [TS]

00:14:18 ◼   ► right the one of the one of the things [TS]

00:14:22 ◼   ► running up to the force awakens was that [TS]

00:14:23 ◼   ► none of us knew whether it would be any [TS]

00:14:25 ◼   ► good and we were all sort of bracing [TS]

00:14:27 ◼   ► ourselves here just in case it was [TS]

00:14:29 ◼   ► terrible you know and now we know it was [TS]

00:14:32 ◼   ► good we know we enjoyed it and so I [TS]

00:14:35 ◼   ► think we're all a bit more relaxed and [TS]

00:14:36 ◼   ► so when not what we're watching these [TS]

00:14:39 ◼   ► traders with a different mindset because [TS]

00:14:40 ◼   ► we watch those trailers going ok this [TS]

00:14:42 ◼   ► trailer looks good but it could still be [TS]
