00:00:15   hi Merlin how are you I'm good a little [TS]

00:00:21   mad now what happened [TS]

00:00:23   I've got ants a homeboy gets serious [TS]

00:00:27   ants I've got ants and there they are in [TS]

00:00:30   the least likely place for ants to be in [TS]

00:00:32   one's home like ants in the kitchen I [TS]

00:00:35   understand dance around the bathtub [TS]

00:00:37   where you eat your sandwiches [TS]

00:00:38   [Music] [TS]

00:00:39   I understand that's your something [TS]

00:00:41   except as a fact of life [TS]

00:00:43   yeah but I have ants in my in my [TS]

00:00:45   bathroom sink and I don't understand [TS]

00:00:47   what they are doing there are they are [TS]

00:00:49   they eating skin flakes are they spying [TS]

00:00:52   on me i don't understand it but i've [TS]

00:00:54   been i've been killing them with my [TS]

00:00:55   thumb and i have created a kind of Aunt [TS]

00:01:00   Holocaust is trying to make an example [TS]

00:01:05   out of them [TS]

00:01:06   well i feel like i have created a kind [TS]

00:01:07   of killing field where the answer the [TS]

00:01:10   answer come later they see the the [TS]

00:01:14   thousands of skulls of their of the [TS]

00:01:17   answer came before all the answers were [TS]

00:01:19   wearing glasses all the ants that had a [TS]

00:01:21   college education [TS]

00:01:22   I've squash them all and i would think [TS]

00:01:25   that the later ants would be would be [TS]

00:01:28   scared away or would go back to the [TS]

00:01:30   Queen and say this is bad this is a bad [TS]

00:01:34   scene up here let's try different sink [TS]

00:01:36   let's try different things let's get out [TS]

00:01:37   of this house I don't like your kind of [TS]

00:01:39   like like insect Kurtz mclovin said [TS]

00:01:43   Kurds he's not he's not a crazy man he's [TS]

00:01:47   a great man but anyway they keep coming [TS]

00:01:50   and I'm I'm i stand there and look for [TS]

00:01:52   them to get their to the second floor to [TS]

00:01:54   that sink they would have to be [TS]

00:01:56   everywhere they would have to be in the [TS]

00:01:59   walls they would have to be they would [TS]

00:02:02   have to be in my in my drawers [TS]

00:02:05   there-there ants in my pants Merlin boom [TS]

00:02:08   mmm you see you're like a Salvador Dali [TS]

00:02:11   painting I I'm you hula dance this room [TS]

00:02:14   that's pretty good [TS]

00:02:15   you should write that down sure you [TS]

00:02:17   could use that I could I have I am I I [TS]

00:02:21   they're just so you know maybe i might [TS]

00:02:22   be able to help you with this a little [TS]

00:02:23   bit there are several books but you know [TS]

00:02:25   Wilson that I have not finished [TS]

00:02:26   yeah right including elements of style [TS]

00:02:29   yeah sure ed white and yellow Wilson oh [TS]

00:02:31   whatever [TS]

00:02:32   yeah yeah there's a guy i'm fascinated [TS]

00:02:35   by ants and I have actually a lot of [TS]

00:02:38   respect France [TS]

00:02:39   oh right sure they're great no I mean [TS]

00:02:42   it's funny because in our house this is [TS]

00:02:44   a big topic of discussion in our home [TS]

00:02:45   not that this matters here but we have [TS]

00:02:47   three very very different feelings about [TS]

00:02:50   ants my while my wife despite we going [TS]

00:02:52   to call sugar and this little tiny ants [TS]

00:02:54   that you get when it rains [TS]

00:02:56   that's right i guess they get money when [TS]

00:02:58   it gets wet you know a rainy they get [TS]

00:03:00   pushed out of their little and home they [TS]

00:03:01   start looking for different places and I [TS]

00:03:03   guess they get curious you know so now [TS]

00:03:05   now I'm wait a minute you're telling me [TS]

00:03:07   they have curiosity I don't know I feel [TS]

00:03:09   terrible i didn't finish the book but i [TS]

00:03:12   don't know i don't know much about my [TS]

00:03:13   underwear and your wife once no ants my [TS]

00:03:16   wife wants my wife despises ants all [TS]

00:03:19   right now who's the buddhist doc that is [TS]

00:03:20   pro and I am somewhere near them the [TS]

00:03:23   college they call it the spectrum i'm [TS]

00:03:25   about halfway down the spectrum where I [TS]

00:03:27   don't like that to me it's like what [TS]

00:03:29   it's like anchovies and ex-girlfriends I [TS]

00:03:31   just I don't like being surprised you [TS]

00:03:33   know right like I don't like ants [TS]

00:03:34   showing up III have a little bit of a [TS]

00:03:36   start when I see ants but then i'm [TS]

00:03:39   mostly okay with it [TS]

00:03:40   my daughter loves the ants are she came [TS]

00:03:43   to my office which is written with ants [TS]

00:03:45   right now and she came up to me and very [TS]

00:03:47   gently said daddy and she said hold out [TS]

00:03:49   your hand and she led an ant cross from [TS]

00:03:52   her hand into my oh she's a nature lover [TS]

00:03:54   that's we yeah so how could you kill the [TS]

00:03:57   curious little ants that are just [TS]

00:03:59   looking for looking for shelter from the [TS]

00:04:01   storm [TS]

00:04:02   I hmmm i should finish that book but my [TS]

00:04:05   feeling is I try to be a good citizen [TS]

00:04:07   John I mean not a really good citizen [TS]

00:04:08   but I didn't want to be on the spectrum [TS]

00:04:10   i try to be like an okay citizen [TS]

00:04:12   yeah well for instance right now yeah I [TS]

00:04:16   i started to repair my bathtub [TS]

00:04:19   I have two bathtubs in my house so one [TS]

00:04:22   of them was in need of some repair so i [TS]

00:04:25   started took it apart and i'm sure i [TS]

00:04:26   started to repair it I've been using the [TS]

00:04:28   other bathtub which is the lesser of the [TS]

00:04:29   two bathtubs but i have the one bathtub [TS]

00:04:32   dismantled a spider has taken up [TS]

00:04:35   residence in the bathtub love spiders [TS]

00:04:37   and it's not of the kind of spider it's [TS]

00:04:39   it's the kind of spider that little that [TS]

00:04:41   uses a flat web he's made a web in the [TS]

00:04:45   bottom of the bathtub and I don't know [TS]

00:04:47   what he's hoping to find maybe he thinks [TS]

00:04:49   that a monkey is going to fall into it [TS]

00:04:51   to me like a trapeze ten net like a [TS]

00:04:55   horse yeah yeah it's kind of horizontal [TS]

00:04:57   and it's sort of it's a little bit [TS]

00:04:59   it's like connected to the bottom of the [TS]

00:05:00   bathtub in multiple places so it's kind [TS]

00:05:02   of like a it's just a sand trap things [TS]

00:05:05   work than I've ever done in my entire [TS]

00:05:06   life [TS]

00:05:07   well I know but he is driven by his by [TS]

00:05:10   his genes in a way that you and I are [TS]

00:05:12   not true we have divorced ourselves from [TS]

00:05:14   our genetic motivation I playing the [TS]

00:05:18   culture of nice you know what [TS]

00:05:20   yeah i think the public schools are to [TS]

00:05:21   blame but in any case this spider is [TS]

00:05:25   living happily in my bathtub and this is [TS]

00:05:28   a bathroom that I don't let other people [TS]

00:05:30   go into visitors don't come to daddy [TS]

00:05:32   daddy special bathroom female guests [TS]

00:05:35   that come to the house are directed to a [TS]

00:05:36   different bathroom haha because this is [TS]

00:05:39   this is dad's inner sanctum [TS]

00:05:41   uh-huh and so there's a spider right now [TS]

00:05:43   in the bathtub and i have no beef with [TS]

00:05:45   the spider he's not bothering me [TS]

00:05:47   he's waiting for monkeys to fall into [TS]

00:05:49   his net and so and no girl is gonna walk [TS]

00:05:52   in there and scream and say there's a [TS]

00:05:53   lighter your bathtub and force me to [TS]

00:05:55   deal with it so the spider and i have [TS]

00:05:58   have reached a comfortable reproach [TS]

00:06:00   meant my only question is why is he not [TS]

00:06:04   in the middle of the night eating these [TS]

00:06:06   ants that are that are sharing the [TS]

00:06:08   bathtub with him for sharing the [TS]

00:06:09   bathroom with him and I've come to the [TS]

00:06:12   conclusion that spiders don't you dance [TS]

00:06:13   I think that's I think that it's a very [TS]

00:06:15   sound conclusion spiders don't you dance [TS]

00:06:18   I've never seen a spider in and you know [TS]

00:06:21   I I haven't either i haven't watched [TS]

00:06:23   forward enough to say i do think i spent [TS]

00:06:26   a lot of time watching spiders [TS]

00:06:28   oh I i am for practical purposes here [TS]

00:06:31   utilized by spiders my dad's I like them [TS]

00:06:34   a lot [TS]

00:06:35   I really like spiders and I don't know [TS]

00:06:37   if this is so wives tale network ping [TS]

00:06:39   pong but I for some reason I feel like [TS]

00:06:41   when I see a spider it feels like good [TS]

00:06:43   luck [TS]

00:06:44   I like a spider and I really when I was [TS]

00:06:47   little I killed you to seattle he could [TS]

00:06:49   have a good luck also that spider [TS]

00:06:51   country [TS]

00:06:51   oh boy is it ever spider spider spider [TS]

00:06:54   spider that's our state motto spider [TS]

00:06:57   spider spider welcome to Washington that [TS]

00:06:59   is a terrific block that I like to do [TS]

00:07:02   not want to circle back to this but I [TS]

00:07:03   mean and I want to get to the reproach [TS]

00:07:05   mom part because I don't understand how [TS]

00:07:08   you can have one first of all taking [TS]

00:07:10   part of bathtub sounds like a lot of [TS]

00:07:11   work it is a tremendous amount of work [TS]

00:07:13   at the lights [TS]

00:07:14   that's why it's still taking apart but [TS]

00:07:16   so where were you think it's like when [TS]

00:07:18   somebody tries to restore a Fiat haha [TS]

00:07:21   that's funny [TS]

00:07:22   it's very easy to take a Fiat apart I've [TS]

00:07:25   never seen an mg altogether [TS]

00:07:27   I've only ever seen mg's that somebody [TS]

00:07:29   started working on and never finished [TS]

00:07:30   right out of the getting busier finished [TS]

00:07:32   an mg now they take them apart and then [TS]

00:07:34   they think that they're gonna drop a [TS]

00:07:36   chevy 350 and remove and then they have [TS]

00:07:39   a bucket of parts in the garage so [TS]

00:07:43   that's what's happened with my bathtub [TS]

00:07:44   i'm sorry to say I took it apart and [TS]

00:07:47   then I realized that that there were [TS]

00:07:49   other things that needed to be fixed [TS]

00:07:50   while I had the bathtub apart and then [TS]

00:07:53   pretty soon I was building a seven-sided [TS]

00:07:57   lighthouse made of dreams but we're way [TS]

00:08:01   I mean I'd not to put too fine a point [TS]

00:08:02   on it but where do you enjoy your subs [TS]

00:08:04   now you don't want to stir the spider [TS]

00:08:06   obviously you've got you've got a [TS]

00:08:07   certain is d considering nemesis or or [TS]

00:08:09   companion you don't want to you don't [TS]

00:08:11   script as well but like you need a place [TS]

00:08:13   to have a sub yeah i know i'm having it [TS]

00:08:15   in the secondary bathtub the lesser [TS]

00:08:16   bathtub [TS]

00:08:17   oh IC so the under-construction bathtub [TS]

00:08:20   or ladies allowed to use the bathroom at [TS]

00:08:22   the end of construction bathroom is [TS]

00:08:23   where the spider is living under [TS]

00:08:25   construction bathroom is is the major [TS]

00:08:28   bathtub [TS]

00:08:29   hmmm that has the that has the bubbles [TS]

00:08:31   it has the electronic bubble low flame [TS]

00:08:35   it's not there yet jets jets got jets [TS]

00:08:37   are you kidding me [TS]

00:08:39   yeah you ever had ladies in there that [TS]

00:08:41   have hold a drink and like to run your [TS]

00:08:43   fingers through the hair [TS]

00:08:44   I have never allowed anyone to bring a [TS]

00:08:47   drink into my bathtub the other than me [TS]

00:08:49   because there's no room on my bath desk [TS]

00:08:52   for more drinks after I object to have a [TS]

00:08:55   bad debt scores i have a bath this guy i [TS]

00:08:58   built the bath desk and and what you [TS]

00:09:00   make it out of [TS]

00:09:02   well I went to the i went to the thrift [TS]

00:09:04   store and I found one of those one of [TS]

00:09:07   those serving trays that if you had a [TS]

00:09:09   manservant your manservant would bring [TS]

00:09:11   your breakfast your continental [TS]

00:09:12   breakfast in your your copy of the [TS]

00:09:14   london times it's roomy it's nice cake [TS]

00:09:18   but it wasn't big enough [TS]

00:09:20   these visa these these trays that that [TS]

00:09:23   are meant to go on your lap while you're [TS]

00:09:24   sitting in bed or not did they do not [TS]

00:09:26   span a bathtub bathtubs carbon why are [TS]

00:09:30   you you're not talking about i'm sorry [TS]

00:09:31   you're not talking about a bathtub side [TS]

00:09:33   table or or like a stool you're talking [TS]

00:09:37   about something you can literally have [TS]

00:09:38   go across the bathtub in front of you [TS]

00:09:40   you can you can do your work you can [TS]

00:09:42   enjoy a sandwich you work on your [TS]

00:09:44   memoirs correct in fact so here's what I [TS]

00:09:48   have a typical when I'm when I'm baking [TS]

00:09:50   in the major bathtub on a hit that in a [TS]

00:09:53   typical afternoon i have a large mug [TS]

00:09:56   coffee then I have a secondary drink [TS]

00:10:00   either an Arnold Palmer fruity pleaser [TS]

00:10:03   or a or a smoothie [TS]

00:10:06   if it's really the hot season and then [TS]

00:10:09   there then there's the plate with them [TS]

00:10:11   intentionally have two hot beverages [TS]

00:10:14   right over your dingus on a tray [TS]

00:10:16   no one's hot ones called the coffee's [TS]

00:10:18   hot the smoothies cold ok and then I [TS]

00:10:20   have that the sandwich which would be [TS]

00:10:22   the to be the major part of the meal and [TS]

00:10:26   then i have the lesser meal which is [TS]

00:10:29   like a scone or snack and then a stack [TS]

00:10:34   of magazines and then a stack of [TS]

00:10:36   unfinished crossword puzzles and Sudoku [TS]

00:10:38   news and then now my my pen and a [TS]

00:10:42   notepad [TS]

00:10:44   uh-huh and that that that that that's [TS]

00:10:47   basically it [TS]

00:10:48   it's like once I get past the utter [TS]

00:10:49   insanity of that I I can't believe I [TS]

00:10:52   don't do that it's incredible and all I [TS]

00:10:55   had to do i bought this serving tray for [TS]

00:10:57   a dollar [TS]

00:10:58   at a thrift store and I added some you [TS]

00:11:02   know I i beefed it up i added some [TS]

00:11:04   supporting crossmembers and a nice then [TS]

00:11:08   I put two big sort of the main supports [TS]

00:11:13   the main beams though the load-bearing [TS]

00:11:16   beams who and now I keep it next to the [TS]

00:11:18   bathtub and when i get in the bath [TS]

00:11:20   I i start to draw the bath and then I [TS]

00:11:22   take the tray downstairs and I loaded up [TS]

00:11:24   with all my bath accoutrements and then [TS]

00:11:29   bring it bring it up and I climb in the [TS]

00:11:31   bathroom put my little table down i'm in [TS]

00:11:34   there all afternoon [TS]

00:11:35   now do you let some of the water out and [TS]

00:11:38   then we get more hot water in how do you [TS]

00:11:41   how do you keep it how do you keep it [TS]

00:11:42   comfortable that for that whole [TS]

00:11:44   afternoon when a lesser bathtub yes it's [TS]

00:11:46   a constant constant that must be [TS]

00:11:49   miserable John this is this is putting [TS]

00:11:51   put a serious such if I could say not [TS]

00:11:53   working for serious change in your [TS]

00:11:55   workflow it it doesn't because it's [TS]

00:11:57   because I've worked it out so that [TS]

00:11:58   they're you know there are so many [TS]

00:12:00   different kinds of bathtubs you can have [TS]

00:12:02   there's the one so many where you can [TS]

00:12:04   leave I used when I grew up in my [TS]

00:12:06   childhood I which is where you grow up I [TS]

00:12:09   had an idea i had a bathtub where I [TS]

00:12:11   could turn the slightest trickle a very [TS]

00:12:14   hot water just trickled it was like a [TS]

00:12:16   new it was like I was at a buddhist [TS]

00:12:18   retreat this water was just like TT and [TS]

00:12:22   it was very hot and it kept the bath and [TS]

00:12:25   an even temperature as the bath cooled [TS]

00:12:26   this little teeny trickle hot water just [TS]

00:12:28   replenished and rejuvenated these other [TS]

00:12:33   bills it was a homeostatic trip [TS]

00:12:35   that's right these other faucets the [TS]

00:12:37   ones where when you turn it on it's cold [TS]

00:12:40   and you have to crank it all the way [TS]

00:12:42   over to full to get it to be hot [TS]

00:12:44   I don't understand who designed that so [TS]

00:12:47   terrible design what if you want a [TS]

00:12:48   little bit of hot he cannot get it and [TS]

00:12:52   and that seems to be what certainly find [TS]

00:12:54   in hotel rooms is terribly that's what [TS]

00:12:57   have you been in a hotel room that first [TS]

00:12:59   time I saw this at first I couldn't [TS]

00:13:00   understand it I i often have trouble [TS]

00:13:02   understanding showers like to come back [TS]

00:13:04   to your mom's house [TS]

00:13:05   she's the most confusing shower bath of [TS]

00:13:06   every stone was little there are seven [TS]

00:13:08   handed [TS]

00:13:08   I don't know if you remember what [TS]

00:13:09   happened there was an incident but but i [TS]

00:13:12   like the things in a hotel where they [TS]

00:13:13   got a separate dingus for the [TS]

00:13:15   temperature and for the pressure so you [TS]

00:13:17   could have you could have a co2 and [TS]

00:13:18   talking about you could have a super hot [TS]

00:13:20   you know you could have that you know [TS]

00:13:22   what I don't know what I don't know 110 [TS]

00:13:23   degrees or whatever and then you could [TS]

00:13:25   have just be a little bit in the shower [TS]

00:13:27   you know what i mean i think that is [TS]

00:13:29   very responsible that's an accelerator [TS]

00:13:31   and the brake or better put it maybe [TS]

00:13:32   it's an accelerator in the steering [TS]

00:13:33   wheel brakes brake would be the the [TS]

00:13:36   drain people should have the power [TS]

00:13:39   placed into their trust to determine how [TS]

00:13:42   hot they want their water and how much [TS]

00:13:44   water they want and this is part of the [TS]

00:13:47   overall problem of of the sort of [TS]

00:13:49   paternalism that is rife in America have [TS]

00:13:52   you noticed how many stop signs there [TS]

00:13:55   are in America not noticed how many of [TS]

00:13:59   those stop signs are absolutely [TS]

00:14:00   necessary [TS]

00:14:01   6 that's right there are six absolutely [TS]

00:14:04   necessary stop signs in the entire [TS]

00:14:05   United States three and three of them [TS]

00:14:07   are four-way stops and and then some of [TS]

00:14:09   the other ones we could probably let go [TS]

00:14:10   in the next five to seven years every [TS]

00:14:12   other stop side in the country is it is [TS]

00:14:14   a total waste because when you arrive at [TS]

00:14:16   an intersection if there is no stop sign [TS]

00:14:18   there unless you are unless you are a 95 [TS]

00:14:22   year old man and you are and you left [TS]

00:14:24   the house that morning thinking how many [TS]

00:14:25   people can run over before I die you're [TS]

00:14:28   going to arrive at that intersection [TS]

00:14:29   you're going to say look both ways if [TS]

00:14:32   there's another car there you make some [TS]

00:14:34   determination who's going to go and [TS]

00:14:36   finally join but here's this freaking [TS]

00:14:38   stop sign and everybody has to stop it [TS]

00:14:40   we're all standing there like we're all [TS]

00:14:42   it being controlled by this piece of [TS]

00:14:44   aluminum and where were just like cows [TS]

00:14:47   like I have to stop he stops we all stop [TS]

00:14:50   now we go one at a time to die i hate [TS]

00:14:55   this I hate this world [TS]

00:14:57   yeah we do there's a lot you can do to [TS]

00:14:59   improve it won't stop signs and I know [TS]

00:15:02   any of the supertrain there will be no [TS]

00:15:03   stop signs how we how you handle people [TS]

00:15:05   we do people people will be educated to [TS]

00:15:07   to know what to do or world would be [TS]

00:15:09   some kind of a little crane that's you [TS]

00:15:11   wouldn't want to impede people's flow [TS]

00:15:13   i'm guessing it would only want a [TS]

00:15:14   population that would understand that [TS]

00:15:16   you don't need a fucking stop sign [TS]

00:15:17   well what will happen i I'm afraid to [TS]

00:15:20   say is that will be much harder to get a [TS]

00:15:22   driver's [TS]

00:15:22   license haha it would be like medical [TS]

00:15:25   school how just under medical school [TS]

00:15:29   it'll be harder to order to get a [TS]

00:15:30   driver's license candles will be [TS]

00:15:31   eligible [TS]

00:15:32   I you know what I want the highest [TS]

00:15:34   qualified dentists speaking as someone [TS]

00:15:36   who has had a lot of people hands in his [TS]

00:15:38   mouth [TS]

00:15:39   I want the dentists to be I want the [TS]

00:15:41   dentist to go through like a astronaut [TS]

00:15:43   training doctors they just I I've yet to [TS]

00:15:48   meet the doctor the new with health and [TS]

00:15:49   Kirsten needs a ride she hops right in [TS]

00:15:51   the dds takes her ring I think when [TS]

00:15:53   dentists are inventors have to go [TS]

00:15:55   through astronaut training they will [TS]

00:15:56   stop naming their daughters Kirsten no [TS]

00:15:59   kidding [TS]

00:15:59   no no that's absolutely true I don't [TS]

00:16:01   just move to texas to become an [TS]

00:16:02   astronaut you might get the texas since [TS]

00:16:05   we're super train land to in order to be [TS]

00:16:07   a dentist you might have to go to Texas [TS]

00:16:09   for how do you handle the skateboards [TS]

00:16:11   the skateboard bike problem [TS]

00:16:13   I mean I cuz I'm not first of all let me [TS]

00:16:15   just say I think this is a problem i [TS]

00:16:17   think they don't see stop signs i don't [TS]

00:16:19   know if it's by virtue of the fact there [TS]

00:16:20   are few inches off the ground but i [TS]

00:16:22   don't think people on one skateboards [TS]

00:16:24   and bicycles [TS]

00:16:25   I used to think I used to think when I [TS]

00:16:26   was a smaller person that they were just [TS]

00:16:27   ignoring them [TS]

00:16:28   I don't think they might be a little [TS]

00:16:29   goofy i think they might be on the [TS]

00:16:31   bicycle spectrum and they do not see [TS]

00:16:33   stop signs [TS]

00:16:34   oh they see them if they seldom and [TS]

00:16:36   every time they run one it is in their [TS]

00:16:38   minds an active resistance right look at [TS]

00:16:41   what colors to little cars to John your [TS]

00:16:43   cars do [TS]

00:16:43   hey there looking at cars and cars the [TS]

00:16:46   response when I say this to people like [TS]

00:16:48   you understand how irresponsible it is [TS]

00:16:49   to be coming down a twenty20 green angle [TS]

00:16:52   hill and blow through a stop sign on a [TS]

00:16:54   busy street i want you know that you [TS]

00:16:56   know not a four-way like you're going to [TS]

00:16:58   blow through a stop sign and there's a [TS]

00:16:59   busy road people are going to be going [TS]

00:17:01   down there with the kids and their dogs [TS]

00:17:03   yeah and you blow right through there [TS]

00:17:05   and any what they say they say well in [TS]

00:17:07   this seriously this is the response [TS]

00:17:08   response is oh yeah well you know what [TS]

00:17:10   cars do em and I just I don't see where [TS]

00:17:13   we're I mean the supertrain have a [TS]

00:17:14   solution [TS]

00:17:15   I mean anything differently what is [TS]

00:17:16   super train solution for dealing with [TS]

00:17:18   the bikers here's the thing i spent 15 [TS]

00:17:22   years living in Seattle with no car and [TS]

00:17:25   I was one of those pedestrians I'm [TS]

00:17:27   embarrassed to say now now that I'm a [TS]

00:17:29   car driver and I Drive everywhere i'm [TS]

00:17:32   embarrassed at what kind of pedestrian I [TS]

00:17:34   was I think you can guess [TS]

00:17:35   I was first of all the kind of [TS]

00:17:37   pedestrian that that wore a soul patch [TS]

00:17:39   em and I was the kind of protection that [TS]

00:17:42   makes you a target right off the bat I [TS]

00:17:44   was really really this was the nineties [TS]

00:17:46   yeah but I did have a soul patch [TS]

00:17:49   how big was that it was intelligible was [TS]

00:17:53   like anyone is negligible ones that [TS]

00:17:54   looks like it it might be some kale or [TS]

00:17:56   something [TS]

00:17:57   it was it was blond hair and it looked [TS]

00:17:59   like maybe i just missed it when I was [TS]

00:18:00   shaving but its lucky be it was there it [TS]

00:18:03   wasn't pubie is this it wasn't curly it [TS]

00:18:07   was just a little slit blonde will tough [TS]

00:18:09   to that I would stroke when I was [TS]

00:18:10   thinking deep thoughts you can take it [TS]

00:18:12   deep deep out with a soul patch [TS]

00:18:14   well I realize that now ok but it was [TS]

00:18:16   the nineties in any case streets had to [TS]

00:18:19   be crossed [TS]

00:18:20   I'm going cross streets and I'm on my [TS]

00:18:22   feet I don't have a car I don't even [TS]

00:18:25   it's been so long since I've had a car i [TS]

00:18:26   don't even remember what it's like I [TS]

00:18:28   don't I don't look at people in cars as [TS]

00:18:31   being in the same species as i am like [TS]

00:18:34   people in cars are people who are eating [TS]

00:18:37   antibiotic treated beef and i am walking [TS]

00:18:41   the streets of seattle with a soul patch [TS]

00:18:43   and i am eating only like lightly [TS]

00:18:47   steamed vegetables it's like we're [TS]

00:18:48   different were totally different [TS]

00:18:51   populations and I would step out in [TS]

00:18:54   front of a moving car and turn my head [TS]

00:18:57   slowly and glare at the driver until [TS]

00:19:00   they not only came to a stop but didn't [TS]

00:19:03   squeak their breaks like of a driver [TS]

00:19:05   squeaked their break something out there [TS]

00:19:07   that's the kind of threat it was well [TS]

00:19:10   yeah sure [TS]

00:19:10   squeak squeaker breaks at me there were [TS]

00:19:13   multiple times where I would put my hand [TS]

00:19:15   on the hood of somebody's car and I [TS]

00:19:17   balham as I was walking past like I was [TS]

00:19:20   such a dick and and it was based on the [TS]

00:19:24   concept that pedestrians are not only do [TS]

00:19:28   they have the right-of-way pedestrians [TS]

00:19:30   are right questions are morally right [TS]

00:19:34   again it was the nineties i was a young [TS]

00:19:36   person did not fully understand that one [TS]

00:19:38   day I would be driving a car and people [TS]

00:19:40   would walk across the street and look at [TS]

00:19:42   me [TS]

00:19:42   not anywhere near with the glare of that [TS]

00:19:45   with the self-righteous clear that I [TS]

00:19:47   used people would just look at me [TS]

00:19:49   sometimes it has i'm waiting on a light [TS]

00:19:50   and I look at them now and go we looking [TS]

00:19:52   at [TS]

00:19:53   keep moving the walkie keep locking [TS]

00:19:55   walking walk walk down the road at the [TS]

00:20:00   time [TS]

00:20:01   oh my god i would i would strive with I [TS]

00:20:04   would nope across the street taking my [TS]

00:20:06   sweet time and so with that history with [TS]

00:20:11   that sordid history when I see a [TS]

00:20:14   bicyclist who is who has those earplugs [TS]

00:20:17   those big ear ear rings that are like [TS]

00:20:21   that are like sink stoppers are you [TS]

00:20:24   talking about like that grommet loves [TS]

00:20:25   the grommet lobes I see a guy like that [TS]

00:20:28   with his bike messenger bag and his is a [TS]

00:20:31   loud pipes save lives [TS]

00:20:33   bumper stickers guys these guys bike [TS]

00:20:35   lock in his back pocket and Casey yeah [TS]

00:20:36   once they hit your mirror [TS]

00:20:38   yeah skinny jeans and one of them's [TS]

00:20:40   rolled up and tucked in his sock when I [TS]

00:20:42   see one of those guys blow through a [TS]

00:20:43   stop sign and I go oh oh you little [TS]

00:20:46   prick i remember what a prick i was and [TS]

00:20:51   i think mm alright yeah you're you're [TS]

00:20:55   falling into the same poor logic there i [TS]

00:20:57   mean there has to be a date on San [TS]

00:20:58   Francisco IMA kind of a pissy San [TS]

00:21:01   Francisco pedestrian and but but i'm [TS]

00:21:04   also I try really hard to be a very [TS]

00:21:06   considerate driver when it comes to [TS]

00:21:08   pedestrians because here's the thing you [TS]

00:21:10   move to a fruitcake city like this [TS]

00:21:12   because you want a certain theoretical [TS]

00:21:13   quality of life is my feeling we're [TS]

00:21:15   living in a society to quit george [TS]

00:21:17   costanza and and I really think that if [TS]

00:21:20   you moved to San Francisco my [TS]

00:21:21   neighborhood my neighborhood is in be [TS]

00:21:22   your lawful good know your lawful [TS]

00:21:26   neutral I'm a ranger but the Rangers [TS]

00:21:30   have to be lawful something not get [TS]

00:21:32   chaotic i think i'm not sure when you [TS]

00:21:35   look that up you put a lot of you put a [TS]

00:21:37   lot of i play think they ultimately you [TS]

00:21:40   believe in the law people even long i [TS]

00:21:43   need the law [TS]

00:21:43   I need I need I need the the monkey web [TS]

00:21:46   for [TS]

00:21:46   yeah and i think i think you know what [TS]

00:21:48   you're saying is that that that there's [TS]

00:21:50   that this population of bicyclists as a [TS]

00:21:53   group adopted a kind of anarchic [TS]

00:21:56   approach to traffic laws and that [TS]

00:21:59   doesn't suit you ok I must say I'm [TS]

00:22:00   saying they're assholes [TS]

00:22:01   I I mean there may be some kind of a [TS]

00:22:03   deeper Development Shaun but i think i [TS]

00:22:05   think mostly there's this sense of [TS]

00:22:07   entitlement that comes from absolutely [TS]

00:22:09   nowhere and you think do you think that [TS]

00:22:11   that riding bicycles attracts assholes [TS]

00:22:13   that's right but this is hansel John you [TS]

00:22:16   are really onto something I I just hope [TS]

00:22:18   to god supertrain has an answer because [TS]

00:22:19   I can't tell the difference [TS]

00:22:21   it's like do i do this business [TS]

00:22:24   development exist to attract douchebags [TS]

00:22:25   or is it that if we didn't have you know [TS]

00:22:28   with the douchebags you have made you [TS]

00:22:30   know what I'm saying it's it's a Gordian [TS]

00:22:31   knot you know I went to college [TS]

00:22:33   yeah i did not graduate and say well now [TS]

00:22:36   and I think that business development [TS]

00:22:39   that is there to at to attract assholes [TS]

00:22:42   because the you could on orientation day [TS]

00:22:45   you can walk around and just just by the [TS]

00:22:48   haircut pick the guys who are majoring [TS]

00:22:50   in business who you know what I mean [TS]

00:22:52   they came that way already there was [TS]

00:22:54   that one is selfish haircuts [TS]

00:22:56   well or just like just like 22 done why [TS]

00:22:59   are you wearing your hair like that it's [TS]

00:23:00   a good for you at freshman orientation [TS]

00:23:02   you should be here with Pete sustained [TS]

00:23:04   sweats [TS]

00:23:05   instead you got your hair all done what [TS]

00:23:07   is that about [TS]

00:23:08   it's a it's a thing that it's a thing [TS]

00:23:11   their parents did to them I i just feel [TS]

00:23:13   like i said the neighborhood I live in [TS]

00:23:14   which you've been to numerous times is [TS]

00:23:16   your in something like the 90 something [TS]

00:23:19   percent i love walkable neighborhoods [TS]

00:23:21   look this up on some internet it's very [TS]

00:23:23   walkable although there is a slight [TS]

00:23:25   incline if I was a fire was [TS]

00:23:29   differently-abled might find it hard to [TS]

00:23:32   get down to the beach and then all the [TS]

00:23:35   way back up [TS]

00:23:36   yeah I really think hills our ablest [TS]

00:23:38   know our original level absolutely no [TS]

00:23:42   question about it [TS]

00:23:43   that's funny they recently redid that [TS]

00:23:45   big park that the soldiers ran out of [TS]

00:23:47   towards you you know across 30 yeah they [TS]

00:23:49   did a really great job but it took a [TS]

00:23:50   long time and it was a good standard we [TS]

00:23:53   do that well and it's funny it was very [TS]

00:23:55   it was somewhat melancholy for me [TS]

00:23:57   because they knocked on the playground [TS]

00:23:58   you know Polly with my canvas it was but [TS]

00:24:01   they brought it back up an old man it's [TS]

00:24:02   great they did you hear the howling of [TS]

00:24:04   of a Confederate Army that was displaced [TS]

00:24:07   it's like you [TS]

00:24:10   we've got to I can't tell if it's a gold [TS]

00:24:12   shoulder or red-tailed hawk is that [TS]

00:24:15   right cold shoulder [TS]

00:24:15   anyway I got this new app for my ipad [TS]

00:24:18   that helps me identify birds but I [TS]

00:24:20   couldn't tell if there's that could have [TS]

00:24:21   been a hawk but you know it could have [TS]

00:24:23   been that could have been a private for [TS]

00:24:24   from Virginia I'm not gonna lie me see [TS]

00:24:27   you know now I got dammit pedestrian [TS]

00:24:30   pennies i want to come back to this i'm [TS]

00:24:31   elated if I have a lady friend here in [TS]

00:24:33   Seattle he has recently attacked by a [TS]

00:24:35   crow on a downtown street [TS]

00:24:36   I fucking not a raven a crow crow caws [TS]

00:24:39   get pretty big i think i confuse my [TS]

00:24:41   Ravens and crows yeah they have [TS]

00:24:42   different faces [TS]

00:24:43   okay can it was a sight but it's a [TS]

00:24:47   Ravens because if you don't i don't mean [TS]

00:24:50   to cut you off its just you get you so [TS]

00:24:52   very close to helping me on so many [TS]

00:24:53   things and I feel like my stack is [TS]

00:24:55   getting very thick that Ravens and crows [TS]

00:24:57   are very different Ravens can actually [TS]

00:24:59   pick locks Ravens can do simple coding [TS]

00:25:02   Raven see stop signs i had actually a [TS]

00:25:05   website website designed by Raven or [TS]

00:25:07   team of Ravens who crows are slightly [TS]

00:25:10   less sophisticated but they're they're [TS]

00:25:11   also very social and it and she was [TS]

00:25:13   walking downtown and the Raven swooped [TS]

00:25:14   down in her hair and this is in the [TS]

00:25:17   middle of a busy downtown street and so [TS]

00:25:20   she was trying to figure out what this [TS]

00:25:23   was about with what you know she's like [TS]

00:25:24   as the Raven protecting its nasty i'm [TS]

00:25:26   like no it's a raven doesnt nest on a [TS]

00:25:27   sidewalk in the middle of town [TS]

00:25:30   Raven's nest far far out of town I don't [TS]

00:25:33   I couldn't explain what the problem was [TS]

00:25:35   but but what I didn't second [TS]

00:25:37   discrimination that's right there there [TS]

00:25:40   there redlined Ravens are getting Cotts [TS]

00:25:43   steering is a little shady you know what [TS]

00:25:45   these houses are nice i think you'd be [TS]

00:25:47   happier over in this neighborhood [TS]

00:25:48   yeah there's a lot more Ravens and [TS]

00:25:50   blackbirds here welcome to our party [TS]

00:25:51   have you met Mohamed that animal house [TS]

00:25:58   that's terrible about um but I said to [TS]

00:26:02   her here's the thing with Ravens [TS]

00:26:04   r and crows Ravens and crows they talk [TS]

00:26:06   to each other at night they they compare [TS]

00:26:09   notes [TS]

00:26:09   it may not even be that you did [TS]

00:26:12   something at that moment to personally [TS]

00:26:13   offended that particular crow it may be [TS]

00:26:16   that you have been impolite to crows in [TS]

00:26:18   general and they have targeted they're [TS]

00:26:21   sharing intelligence that's right they [TS]

00:26:23   absolutely are like you didn't know you [TS]

00:26:25   the one are you the one he says you say [TS]

00:26:26   you say that the Soviets are the ones [TS]

00:26:28   who won the war in Europe right they're [TS]

00:26:31   the ones who did all the heavy lifting [TS]

00:26:32   over there was such a quote you you had [TS]

00:26:35   a long day of quotes and I couldn't keep [TS]

00:26:36   up with all of them [TS]

00:26:37   you think it's like the Allies it's like [TS]

00:26:39   the Allies we all do different things [TS]

00:26:40   when the war is over we have very [TS]

00:26:42   different you know things that we'd like [TS]

00:26:44   to do and sometimes we go [TS]

00:26:45   you know I loggerheads about that you're [TS]

00:26:46   saying you're saying here there's a [TS]

00:26:48   certain kind of date on that and they [TS]

00:26:51   share information like the Allies would [TS]

00:26:53   well but they are all crows are aboard [TS]

00:26:56   and and a highly sophisticated one that [TS]

00:27:01   doesn't get mockingbirds mockingbirds [TS]

00:27:04   are different things but I have very [TS]

00:27:05   very very I have deep and wide [TS]

00:27:08   experience with Ravens and crows really [TS]

00:27:11   growing up in Alaska Ravens are Raven [TS]

00:27:14   stand four feet tall [TS]

00:27:16   oh they wear that is chilling they were [TS]

00:27:19   very very nice outfits when they come to [TS]

00:27:21   the DMV they are there are completely [TS]

00:27:23   the they're completely integrated part [TS]

00:27:26   hey let's just do you want to go any [TS]

00:27:27   further I have a lot of very good [TS]

00:27:29   friends who are Ravens some of them are [TS]

00:27:31   extremely smart and articulate and [TS]

00:27:33   almost all of them are very clean you [TS]

00:27:35   know what they're very clean very clean [TS]

00:27:36   piece you know that's the thing is I'm i [TS]

00:27:38   really hate to hear the casual [TS]

00:27:40   discrimination against super articulate [TS]

00:27:42   some of them some of them sure [TS]

00:27:43   well you know that is good Ravens and [TS]

00:27:45   bad Ravens we should probably move on [TS]

00:27:46   there was a there was an incredible [TS]

00:27:48   piece written in the in the anchorage [TS]

00:27:50   daily news in the mid-eighties about [TS]

00:27:53   this guy who who said well you know we [TS]

00:27:56   don't really know that much about Ravens [TS]

00:27:58   we don't know where they sleep at night [TS]

00:28:00   we don't know really anything about them [TS]

00:28:03   considering that they live all around [TS]

00:28:04   think that's correct [TS]

00:28:06   no I've had in fact in fact in this [TS]

00:28:08   instance it is and I and I think it's [TS]

00:28:10   true even of the crows I think somebody [TS]

00:28:12   in the Raven racket would at some point [TS]

00:28:13   follow Raven and see where it went to [TS]

00:28:15   sleep [TS]

00:28:16   let me tell you okay [TS]

00:28:17   my mother and I for many many years have [TS]

00:28:20   at dusk gotten in our cars and chased [TS]

00:28:23   the crows as they congregate as they fly [TS]

00:28:27   out of the city congregate they do [TS]

00:28:30   congregate in trees at the south end of [TS]

00:28:33   town and once all the crows have [TS]

00:28:35   gathered in one massive crow the [TS]

00:28:39   Parliament that's not a murder plot at [TS]

00:28:45   this point it's a part of it because it [TS]

00:28:46   is tens of thousands of crows 0 then on [TS]

00:28:49   right at dusk they all leave together [TS]

00:28:51   and fly to the mountains and my mom and [TS]

00:28:56   I chasing after them in our cars talk [TS]

00:28:59   communicating to each other on our [TS]

00:29:00   phones we have never been able to [TS]

00:29:03   successfully find them where they go [TS]

00:29:05   everywhere in order to get got a [TS]

00:29:08   mysterious mysterious avian commuters [TS]

00:29:10   and you and your mom are in some Wes [TS]

00:29:12   Anderson movie we're driving in separate [TS]

00:29:13   cars with walkie-talkies and you are [TS]

00:29:15   literally driving as the crow flies that [TS]

00:29:17   is right we are chasing them and they [TS]

00:29:19   elude us every time [TS]

00:29:20   god damn it but this guy in the eighties [TS]

00:29:22   he set out he invented a gun that would [TS]

00:29:26   shoot a net the net gun and he went to [TS]

00:29:30   to a certain mall in Anchorage where the [TS]

00:29:33   Ravens all congregated at the dumpsters [TS]

00:29:35   and he got out of his van and he shot [TS]

00:29:39   the net gun any captured 10 Ravens and [TS]

00:29:44   the following day he drove up in the [TS]

00:29:46   same van and all the Ravens split so he [TS]

00:29:52   draw all that you say they learned [TS]

00:29:55   yeah I drove across town in this van and [TS]

00:29:59   he went to a different mall and he shot [TS]

00:30:02   his net gun and captured five Ravens and [TS]

00:30:06   the following day no matter what mall he [TS]

00:30:08   went to in the city when he drove into [TS]

00:30:11   the parking lot in that van [TS]

00:30:12   The Raven split well so he rented assets [TS]

00:30:15   a new van and he repeated this [TS]

00:30:19   experiment soon he found that he could [TS]

00:30:23   not drive into a mall parking lot in any [TS]

00:30:26   kind of van [TS]

00:30:27   the Ravens wood split what kind of time [TS]

00:30:29   frame are we talking about this is over [TS]

00:30:31   the course of a few weeks are you [TS]

00:30:32   kidding me [TS]

00:30:33   he started to arrive in a car then it [TS]

00:30:37   got to the point that the that if this [TS]

00:30:38   is his reporting that the Ravens [TS]

00:30:40   recognized his face citywide so he [TS]

00:30:45   started wearing masks and then anytime [TS]

00:30:51   the race is tier VIII this is this is [TS]

00:30:55   absolutely is that I i have the sources [TS]

00:30:57   that we could weekly column or a [TS]

00:30:59   peer-reviewed journals this with this [TS]

00:31:01   curl a bit [TS]

00:31:02   this was a big feature in the sunday [TS]

00:31:05   supplement oh ok well so he said get [TS]

00:31:09   makeup chrome asks instead how now [TS]

00:31:12   anytime across he's a person a mask they [TS]

00:31:14   split he tried cheetos he got a couple [TS]

00:31:17   Ravens with Cheetos then they wouldn't [TS]

00:31:18   eat Cheetos anymore he tried and so all [TS]

00:31:21   summer long [TS]

00:31:22   he changed these Ravens trying to get [TS]

00:31:24   enough trying to capture enough Ravens [TS]

00:31:26   that he could tag them and let them go [TS]

00:31:28   to have a significant you know a [TS]

00:31:31   significant sort of case and he said [TS]

00:31:36   that they thwarted him at every turn he [TS]

00:31:38   could never he could never get a system [TS]

00:31:42   down where he was capturing and tagging [TS]

00:31:44   Ravens because everything he tried to [TS]

00:31:47   fit within a day every Ravens in the [TS]

00:31:49   City knew what he was up to and she [TS]

00:31:52   recently divorced and that's just the [TS]

00:31:54   beginning to sound like I'm recently [TS]

00:31:56   divorced man i watch two Ravens once [TS]

00:31:59   steal a box of Raven sorry box of [TS]

00:32:01   raisins denies it I just want to raisins [TS]

00:32:04   steel Ibaka Raven now I think you almost [TS]

00:32:06   said you wanted nothing i'll cut it out [TS]

00:32:07   but I i think he said that you once he [TS]

00:32:09   started to say that you want swatch to [TS]

00:32:11   Raven steel box of ravens yeah also cut [TS]

00:32:14   out that he be white thing at the [TS]

00:32:15   beginning that's embarrassing [TS]

00:32:16   okay um but haha the Ravens one Raven [TS]

00:32:22   landed in front of my niece she had a [TS]

00:32:24   box of raisins and he hopped up to her [TS]

00:32:27   right just right out of her reach [TS]

00:32:29   she was an infant or like a like a like [TS]

00:32:32   a two-year-old and so she drop the box [TS]

00:32:35   of raisins and started to crawl to the [TS]

00:32:36   bird and he hopped back just right out [TS]

00:32:40   of her reach and she's crawling toward [TS]

00:32:42   him and as he as she gets away from the [TS]

00:32:44   box of raisins another raven swoops in [TS]

00:32:47   behind and starts eating the raisins get [TS]

00:32:50   a partner she turns around and sees the [TS]

00:32:52   other bird goes back to the box of [TS]

00:32:55   raisins the other bird start hopping [TS]

00:32:57   back she follows the bird the first [TS]

00:33:02   Raven goes it's the raisins and the east [TS]

00:33:05   and i SAT and watched this happen [TS]

00:33:06   these two birds ate her entire box of [TS]

00:33:09   raisins playing this like I'm right here [TS]

00:33:11   you can i'm right here you can catch me [TS]

00:33:13   just [TS]

00:33:14   Oh Here I am Here I am and they back and [TS]

00:33:17   forth back and forth until all her [TS]

00:33:18   reasons work on [TS]

00:33:19   oh my god and now anywhere that she goes [TS]

00:33:21   in the city she can t raisins [TS]

00:33:23   that's right even if she's wearing a [TS]

00:33:24   mask god that's complicated [TS]

00:33:27   they are very complicated so i told my [TS]

00:33:29   mother I gotta learn more not as we've [TS]

00:33:31   kind of been fast and loose with Ravens [TS]

00:33:32   and crows your interest primarily here [TS]

00:33:34   is in Ravens it sounds like they're the [TS]

00:33:36   real trouble [TS]

00:33:36   well except that in seattle crows are [TS]

00:33:38   much more are much more common and this [TS]

00:33:41   has nothing to do with crackles I know [TS]

00:33:43   there are no graphical stupid compared [TS]

00:33:45   to the Ravens I would never on honor on [TS]

00:33:48   a public program say that any bird was [TS]

00:33:51   stupid because I at this point believe [TS]

00:33:53   that they're listening so if I said the [TS]

00:33:56   United you travel a lot John you need to [TS]

00:33:57   be able to move freely need to keep you [TS]

00:33:59   under these these birds on your side [TS]

00:34:01   I don't know whether the ravens in [TS]

00:34:02   Alaska are communicating with the crows [TS]

00:34:04   in seattle it's possible they could have [TS]

00:34:06   a translator [TS]

00:34:07   I i think based on the the work of this [TS]

00:34:09   gentleman in the mask i think it's clear [TS]

00:34:11   that where were their operating on a [TS]

00:34:12   much higher level than anybody wants to [TS]

00:34:13   admit it's their world where we're just [TS]

00:34:15   living in it and I think it's like right [TS]

00:34:17   you you were attacked by crow on a [TS]

00:34:19   downtown street what you need to start [TS]

00:34:21   doing is do what I do which is every [TS]

00:34:24   time you see a crow particularly across [TS]

00:34:26   that that flies down and lands at eye [TS]

00:34:29   level you know the way that sometimes [TS]

00:34:31   you're walking along and there's [TS]

00:34:31   suddenly a crow on a on offense [TS]

00:34:33   I hate that he's looking right at you [TS]

00:34:35   hate it when that happens you have to [TS]

00:34:38   look at the crow and say hello crow [TS]

00:34:41   and.and I do I boom boom you're looking [TS]

00:34:45   at him he's looking at you you say hello [TS]

00:34:47   to the peg is a bitch [TS]

00:34:49   what no you're you're you're showing [TS]

00:34:52   respect for showing respect but you're [TS]

00:34:54   also saying I see you motherfucker [TS]

00:34:57   ok I see you like you don't walk around [TS]

00:35:00   with a rave a crow or raven flies down [TS]

00:35:02   and lands on a fence and looks at you [TS]

00:35:03   and you don't look at him [TS]

00:35:05   oh whose world isn't no crow crows [TS]

00:35:09   world's Chris world you need to look at [TS]

00:35:11   that crow and say I see you and you see [TS]

00:35:14   me and I say hello crow you don't say hi [TS]

00:35:16   mr. Crowe let's settle this while it's [TS]

00:35:19   easy [TS]

00:35:19   that's right you know any other thing is [TS]

00:35:22   I've been beguiled by by many animals by [TS]

00:35:25   hand sand by spiders and crows and [TS]

00:35:26   ravens and and I've been annoyed by [TS]

00:35:28   grackles but I you know this is one of [TS]

00:35:30   those funny things that'll do it some [TS]

00:35:32   kind of Florida burger with no no no no [TS]

00:35:34   in Austin Kiki Austin with this [TS]

00:35:36   deafening birds on the while he rides [TS]

00:35:38   the grackles lost an APB on everything [TS]

00:35:41   yeah the grackles of Austin who travels [TS]

00:35:44   involved i think josh Josh just sign [TS]

00:35:46   them not long ago I I here's the thing [TS]

00:35:50   though and you know John you know this [TS]

00:35:51   you're getting a little older but there [TS]

00:35:53   are things okay for example you still [TS]

00:35:55   eat spicy food [TS]

00:35:56   I used to be able to eat a lot of spicy [TS]

00:35:58   food now light spicy food i'm going to [TS]

00:36:00   be reading a lot [TS]

00:36:01   okay i know that I accept that there are [TS]

00:36:03   some things that change in life i'm [TS]

00:36:05   saying one thing that changed my life I [TS]

00:36:06   used to think very little about birds in [TS]

00:36:08   general if there's a bird in front of me [TS]

00:36:09   I'd I'd say that's a bird you know is [TS]

00:36:12   Macar I I'd you know or whatever you [TS]

00:36:14   want to talk or or fly around or [TS]

00:36:16   whatever i got to John bird eyes freak [TS]

00:36:19   the living shit out of me those BTW and [TS]

00:36:21   i'm not even talking like you know and [TS]

00:36:23   after Hitchcock movie [TS]

00:36:24   I'm just saying that as you look into [TS]

00:36:26   the eyes of a crew or especially a raven [TS]

00:36:28   and you try to figure out what is on [TS]

00:36:30   that birds mind you're gonna be fucking [TS]

00:36:32   nothing but yellow looking back at you [TS]

00:36:34   and no matter how big the bird is the [TS]

00:36:36   eyes will always be BTW and the children [TS]

00:36:38   me you can pick up my bird eyes I think [TS]

00:36:41   they're super freaky and I don't get [TS]

00:36:43   freaked out because I I feel like eatin [TS]

00:36:45   I feel like I'm meant to be here on [TS]

00:36:47   earth and there's a standard [TS]

00:36:50   stand-your-ground not only stand your [TS]

00:36:52   ground but establish [TS]

00:36:53   I i established with all animals and in [TS]

00:36:55   fact all living things including [TS]

00:36:56   including humans yes I tried to [TS]

00:36:59   establish that i am here for a reason [TS]

00:37:01   and you can either aid me or you will be [TS]

00:37:06   defeated [TS]

00:37:07   have you thought about putting that out [TS]

00:37:08   in handing that to people or is this [TS]

00:37:09   something we should just into it but [TS]

00:37:11   it's not something into it it's [TS]

00:38:07   up now [TS]

00:38:08   ok people commonly mistake is a common [TS]

00:38:10   common common grackle which is they [TS]

00:38:12   mistakenly call starlings grackles [TS]

00:38:14   crackles our thing our own bird native [TS]

00:38:18   to the Americas yes starlings are [TS]

00:38:20   imported from Europe and so we do have [TS]

00:38:23   starlings in proliferation there's some [TS]

00:38:25   fruitcake maybe in New York who wanted [TS]

00:38:27   to have every hear the story i nostri [TS]

00:38:38   he released a hundred starlings in [TS]

00:38:40   central park in 18 whatever seems like a [TS]

00:38:44   terrible idea and now there are billions [TS]

00:39:05   on your learning and you [TS]

00:39:06   and your personality you feel like you [TS]

00:39:09   can go head-to-head with an animal in an [TS]

00:39:11   environment of mutual respect for the [TS]

00:39:14   most part for the most part there's [TS]

00:39:15   something you have trouble with or they [TS]

00:39:16   have trouble with you [TS]

00:39:24   could control you can control i'm sorry [TS]

00:39:25   to interrupt you to control this [TS]

00:39:27   relationship with the revenue animal [TS]

00:39:28   probably better than eighty-five percent [TS]

00:39:30   of other people i'm guessing it's not a [TS]

00:39:33   total wild card i have i have enough [TS]

00:39:35   information that I can I can I could [TS]

00:39:37   deal with a rabid animal better than you [TS]

00:39:40   tell me you can deal with promoter but [TS]

00:39:41   you can't deal with a rabid animal rabid [TS]

00:39:44   animal habitats animals depending on how [TS]

00:39:46   far the rabies has progressed who you [TS]

00:39:49   really the only way to deal with them is [TS]

00:39:50   with the with the blade end of a shovel [TS]

00:39:52   you have to think about it twice I would [TS]

00:39:55   I would I would not I would not kill a [TS]

00:39:58   rabid animal instantly because it might [TS]

00:40:01   just be a pet that has eaten some [TS]

00:40:03   laundry soap i would lose everything is [TS]

00:40:07   really is a real phone phone is it like [TS]

00:40:09   spittle like am a student would have [TS]

00:40:11   welcomed you follow me followme really [TS]

00:40:13   awful [TS]

00:40:14   okay so I'm gonna check out possibly [TS]

00:40:16   sort of yes but it sounds to me like you [TS]

00:40:18   go ahead [TS]

00:40:18   would you not agree that in amongst this [TS]

00:40:20   kingdom and these fight these phylum and [TS]

00:40:23   and the kingdom's me and cameron the [TS]

00:40:25   other thing to violence who gave us that [TS]

00:40:28   Genesis papas you got all these [TS]

00:40:31   different things and it its deep would [TS]

00:40:34   you not acknowledge that there is a [TS]

00:40:35   certain power in that ability to compete [TS]

00:40:38   with them what I'm trying to get at John [TS]

00:40:39   is when it is finally time and I don't [TS]

00:40:41   want you talking timeframe that careless [TS]

00:40:43   when the supertrain generation well and [TS]

00:40:46   truly arrives in a way that it's no [TS]

00:40:48   longer a rumor it's just something [TS]

00:40:50   you're fucking dealing with now do you [TS]

00:40:52   think that you might like to be in a [TS]

00:40:53   position where you can harness some of [TS]

00:40:55   this power somebody to talk to a spider [TS]

00:40:56   who can make a monkey net or possibly a [TS]

00:40:58   grackle common grackle or an uncommon [TS]

00:41:01   rave and somebody who could go out and [TS]

00:41:02   literally figure things out on your [TS]

00:41:04   behalf as an agent for you you reaching [TS]

00:41:05   date on reproach mall [TS]

00:41:07   hmm is this something that could be part [TS]

00:41:09   of the the supertrain program i think it [TS]

00:41:11   absolutely is you know i have said for [TS]

00:41:13   many years they could get your way John [TS]

00:41:15   if you're not in front of this i'm just [TS]

00:41:16   saying you're gonna you're gonna have to [TS]

00:41:17   face them down and [TS]

00:41:18   x-men type situation now it is a it is a [TS]

00:41:21   natural system that we have we have [TS]

00:41:23   intruded into with are overthinking and [TS]

00:41:26   we are now separate from animals in a [TS]

00:41:29   way that is not entirely necessary in [TS]

00:41:31   this is the this is the problem that and [TS]

00:41:33   i recently went to comic-con and and [TS]

00:41:36   comic-con is an extension of this larger [TS]

00:41:39   problem that I used to see an indie-rock [TS]

00:41:40   quite a bit which is the the mistaken [TS]

00:41:44   idea that everyone is an artist and they [TS]

00:41:46   just need to get if we just clear out [TS]

00:41:48   all the all the things in the way of [TS]

00:41:50   certain people that they are the art [TS]

00:41:53   that they make is beautiful [TS]

00:41:55   you know what I mean like everyone's an [TS]

00:41:56   artist and and it's just that we are [TS]

00:41:58   inhibited and we are we are locked in [TS]

00:42:01   our small little world and we need to [TS]

00:42:03   keep going to be free [TS]

00:42:04   we need to get free and then art will [TS]

00:42:06   pour forth and I think that that is a [TS]

00:42:07   terrible idea [TS]

00:42:08   it is not true at all not everyone is an [TS]

00:42:10   artist it's a kind of existential [TS]

00:42:12   alchemy because not every piece of metal [TS]

00:42:14   can be made into gold [TS]

00:42:16   mm like too much in fact no metal can be [TS]

00:42:19   made into gold [TS]

00:42:20   most likely crazy but but going to [TS]

00:42:23   comic-con you see a million people who [TS]

00:42:25   have been told their whole lives that [TS]

00:42:27   what they are doing qualifies as art had [TS]

00:42:31   been congratulated uniform now do you [TS]

00:42:33   think it's doing that are not art and [TS]

00:42:37   and then now and they now they believe [TS]

00:42:39   that it's our own people are encouraged [TS]

00:42:41   to congratulate them for it it's like [TS]

00:42:43   actually this isn't none of this what [TS]

00:42:45   you're doing is arc in the same sense [TS]

00:42:47   like your dog in a little bit more than [TS]

00:42:49   your last week like you order that you [TS]

00:42:51   are on the fence with the bronies last [TS]

00:42:53   week when I was I'm still on the fence [TS]

00:42:54   with the bros i think there might be [TS]

00:42:56   stuff in the brownie brownie seemed nice [TS]

00:42:58   I think there might be stuff in the [TS]

00:42:59   brownies that I don't understand there [TS]

00:43:00   still is stuff at comic-con i know i [TS]

00:43:02   don't understand but there is also it is [TS]

00:43:05   absolutely the case but there is stuff [TS]

00:43:07   that is being that has been presented as [TS]

00:43:10   art which is not our is an etsy kind of [TS]

00:43:12   thing we make something you make like a [TS]

00:43:13   brush and I thought your pubes or [TS]

00:43:14   something that kind of someone made [TS]

00:43:16   bread knife out of their pubes i'm gonna [TS]

00:43:17   call it art and I would not bet on it [TS]

00:43:19   but I would be happy to watch it be [TS]

00:43:21   built upon that I I like you I'm trying [TS]

00:43:25   to keep an open mind and I don't want to [TS]

00:43:26   get ahead of myself but I'm saying if I [TS]

00:43:28   could eyeball that thing and I saw that [TS]

00:43:30   and I saw that it definitely was [TS]

00:43:31   Brezhnev and probably not pubes i would [TS]

00:43:33   say success thank you here's your ribbon [TS]

00:43:35   you know what I mean Franco yeah [TS]

00:43:36   absolutely [TS]

00:43:37   the thing is if it looks and i think [TS]

00:43:38   it's going to look a lot more like kids [TS]

00:43:40   impression if I mean you know long hairs [TS]

00:43:41   on the address notwithstanding but with [TS]

00:43:43   animals like take Dances with Wolves a [TS]

00:43:47   classic example of a man who is his [TS]

00:43:50   community with a wolf [TS]

00:43:52   yeah and they find this commonality that [TS]

00:43:55   they share now he was not he was not [TS]

00:43:58   setting the wolf on errands exactly [TS]

00:44:00   yeah but it was only a matter of time [TS]

00:44:02   before getting the Wolfers snuggling up [TS]

00:44:04   around around the fire talking just [TS]

00:44:06   drinking hxp and water world so I didn't [TS]

00:44:09   see water world's my oyster the line [TS]

00:44:11   Kevin Costner the line on Kevin Costner [TS]

00:44:13   stopped in like 80 well I guess 90 [TS]

00:44:15   didn't dance with rules that's the one [TS]

00:44:17   that be good fellows right for the for [TS]

00:44:20   the Oscar I don't follow their awards so [TS]

00:44:23   follow martin scorsese okay with that [TS]

00:44:26   martin scorsese a good guy i support him [TS]

00:44:31   Goodfellows good movie will seem like an [TS]

00:44:33   obvious thing to commune with I'm just [TS]

00:44:34   saying like for example in a comic that [TS]

00:44:36   I have enjoyed at times that called The [TS]

00:44:38   Avengers there's a team of these [TS]

00:44:41   characters [TS]

00:44:42   no nothing hmm i already feel like the [TS]

00:44:52   select the crows and other birds of [TS]

00:44:55   washington state of Western Washington [TS]

00:44:57   yeah I already feel that they and i are [TS]

00:45:00   working towards a mutual understanding [TS]

00:45:01   and it's only a matter of time [TS]

00:45:05   you're already benefiting from there [TS]

00:45:06   talking to each other already eyeballed [TS]

00:45:08   you they've seen this John Roderick he's [TS]

00:45:10   keep an eye on us you know what will [TS]

00:45:11   keep his fucking beady eyes on him [TS]

00:45:13   that's right we need him on our team got [TS]

00:45:14   eyes on me i do not cross do not come [TS]

00:45:18   and Brussels my hair on a downtown [TS]

00:45:20   street no crows i am convinced are going [TS]

00:45:24   a block or two ahead of me and checking [TS]

00:45:26   it out and make sure everything's cool [TS]

00:45:27   and then communicating back is it good [TS]

00:45:29   for both of you [TS]

00:45:30   I think so you are you doing are you [TS]

00:45:32   doing each other favors is it something [TS]

00:45:33   you know I mean we still talk about [TS]

00:45:35   daytime and I don't know if you know [TS]

00:45:36   this but the Russians don't have a word [TS]

00:45:38   for daytime on one of my all-time [TS]

00:45:39   favorite question ever that is that a [TS]

00:45:41   sting work the Russians love their date [TS]

00:45:44   on too [TS]

00:45:45   he was doing was I think it was during [TS]

00:45:47   the Reagan years somebody and his [TS]

00:45:48   cabinet said that the Russians don't [TS]

00:45:49   have a word for date on somebody had to [TS]

00:45:51   point out to him that neither does [TS]

00:45:53   english haha but um but it you know what [TS]

00:45:58   I'm saying here i'm not going to think [TS]

00:45:59   of it this way you know you throw me you [TS]

00:46:01   throw me the head I three the whip right [TS]

00:46:03   you're saying if i understand correctly [TS]

00:46:04   that's a movie quote but i understand [TS]

00:46:06   correctly you're saying that there is an [TS]

00:46:08   unstated done squawked on talked about [TS]

00:46:11   relationship mama says really about [TS]

00:46:14   business development relationship with [TS]

00:46:16   the birds [TS]

00:46:17   that's right that's right I did see I i [TS]

00:46:19   believe that that particularly these [TS]

00:46:20   birds is beneath their dignity for me to [TS]

00:46:23   throw them a bread crust [TS]

00:46:24   ah they want beneath everybody's didn't [TS]

00:46:27   yet they would they would happily people [TS]

00:46:29   to that is against a car rather than [TS]

00:46:32   have a human being like throw them some [TS]

00:46:34   food and such a chicken in a rat why the [TS]

00:46:36   fuck would you feel bird so we're making [TS]

00:46:39   feed themselves but I feel like it is [TS]

00:46:41   not it is not a case where I am a mole [TS]

00:46:43   inside of human society on behalf of the [TS]

00:46:46   birds and I don't believe that they are [TS]

00:46:48   the birds that I'm communicating with [TS]

00:46:49   our like betraying their own culture by [TS]

00:46:53   by reaching out to me I think that they [TS]

00:46:56   recognize me as a guest cottage kindred [TS]

00:46:58   spirit and they say there's a human we [TS]

00:47:00   can deal with let's just keep that on [TS]

00:47:03   the back burner if we see something that [TS]

00:47:05   can help him [TS]

00:47:06   islip it together we've got a man on the [TS]

00:47:07   inside literally that's right but in the [TS]

00:47:09   meantime let's just go our separate ways [TS]

00:47:12   if it comes down to it we can go to this [TS]

00:47:15   guy for counsel if there's some human [TS]

00:47:17   bird war we can go to this guy and yeti [TS]

00:47:20   well I think things things are going to [TS]

00:47:23   get tough I think i was looking up [TS]

00:47:24   yeah well you know did you read about [TS]

00:47:26   the crazy cat lady disease turns out [TS]

00:47:29   suppose supposedly there it's in their [TS]

00:47:31   boots in the cat poop [TS]

00:47:32   yeah that's right and so but there's I [TS]

00:47:33   i'm like i can't quote this from memory [TS]

00:47:35   but but it goes something along the [TS]

00:47:37   lines of you know there's certain [TS]

00:47:38   animals that need to have a host you [TS]

00:47:41   know inside of another animal that's a [TS]

00:47:43   very interesting thing in the nature and [TS]

00:47:45   if I remember this correctly there's [TS]

00:47:46   some kind of a bacteria or whatever it [TS]

00:47:49   is but it's something new it's in cat [TS]

00:47:51   poop and and the thing is when and i [TS]

00:47:53   know crazy cat ladies ping-pong so i [TS]

00:47:55   apologize it colonizes the crazy cat [TS]

00:47:57   ladies brains [TS]

00:47:58   so they keep cats so that they become [TS]

00:48:00   incubators for the cat poop bug right i [TS]

00:48:04   want to can stipulate one thing just for [TS]

00:48:06   myself I don't you don't have to agree [TS]

00:48:07   with this obviously but i would just [TS]

00:48:09   like to stipulate this you know when I [TS]

00:48:10   say cat lady [TS]

00:48:11   it's ok to have a cat it's potentially [TS]

00:48:13   okay to have two cats are you afraid of [TS]

00:48:15   getting letters are you afraid you're [TS]

00:48:16   going to get letters from people with [TS]

00:48:17   cast know i just wanna try to help [TS]

00:48:19   people i can't help people in the level [TS]

00:48:20   you do but I want to help somebody and [TS]

00:48:21   let you know to get on someone helps [TS]

00:48:23   some cats so here's something I what's [TS]

00:48:24   the maximum number of cats that the same [TS]

00:48:26   person can have three as three charities [TS]

00:48:29   real iffy 33 is real for crafts cats is [TS]

00:48:32   over the border into crazy cats are like [TS]

00:48:36   tattoos like how do you know when to [TS]

00:48:37   stop [TS]

00:48:38   like once you've got one you got fucking [TS]

00:48:39   i might as well get nine you know and [TS]

00:48:41   you're going to have animals in your [TS]

00:48:42   house you're already a little unbalanced [TS]

00:48:44   and so what is the number of tattoos [TS]

00:48:47   that you can have that is over the line [TS]

00:48:48   in your crazy person [TS]

00:48:49   i won ok write some letters [TS]

00:48:54   mm well not to worry about people and [TS]

00:48:57   hepatitis A and I have just like I said [TS]

00:48:59   14 tattoos and I'm a regular leader sir [TS]

00:49:02   i am a grackle living inside of a man [TS]

00:49:05   mask but here's my thinking on this and [TS]

00:49:07   and I just want to get back to the big [TS]

00:49:09   bacteria or whatever in a second but [TS]

00:49:10   here's the thing i think if you've got [TS]

00:49:12   cat a cat that's fine [TS]

00:49:14   it's really good if you kind of tidy up [TS]

00:49:16   after for all of our sakes if you find [TS]

00:49:19   yourself getting closer and closer to [TS]

00:49:21   the 10 cat level I think I think it's [TS]

00:49:23   time to start thinking about some stuff [TS]

00:49:24   right [TS]

00:49:25   I think when you get to the greater than [TS]

00:49:28   10 cat level your operation is slightly [TS]

00:49:30   higher level [TS]

00:49:31   no here's the thing i think at this [TS]

00:49:33   point first also John are you aware that [TS]

00:49:35   scrapbooking when people say scrapping [TS]

00:49:36   units code for hoarding right [TS]

00:49:38   scrapbooking is code for hoarding if you [TS]

00:49:40   ever go show me somebody [TS]

00:49:42   this is like this is like Dennis and [TS]

00:49:44   Kirsten if you show me somebody who is a [TS]

00:49:46   quote-unquote scrapbooker who's not a [TS]

00:49:48   hoarder [TS]

00:49:49   I learned this the other day Hugh Hefner [TS]

00:49:51   has been keeping scrapbooks since his [TS]

00:49:54   teen years and he's up to like 3,000 [TS]

00:49:58   scrapbooks he's not likely to the ladies [TS]

00:50:00   underwear or like what I don't know he [TS]

00:50:03   clicks eclipse his newspaper articles [TS]

00:50:06   any that's the four years said okay [TS]

00:50:07   there was clear the rest is flowers and [TS]

00:50:09   stuff i don't know what is [TS]

00:50:10   doing in these but he has he's got a [TS]

00:50:12   room in that the the Playboy Mansion [TS]

00:50:14   involved scrapbook she's been keeping [TS]

00:50:16   since the thirties right why I made this [TS]

00:50:18   might be the category error i'm gonna [TS]

00:50:20   have to figure all this out better stuff [TS]

00:50:22   yeah but here's what I'm saying I mean [TS]

00:50:23   there's a commonality and all these [TS]

00:50:25   things i'm sorry to say [TS]

00:50:26   all I'm saying is when you get to the [TS]

00:50:27   point when you have greater than n cats [TS]

00:50:30   whatever that number is the thing is [TS]

00:50:31   when they die you have to get rid of [TS]

00:50:33   them [TS]

00:50:33   that's I think the big problem is first [TS]

00:50:35   you start cleaning up the poop and then [TS]

00:50:36   you stopped getting rid of them when [TS]

00:50:38   they die and i think when you have more [TS]

00:50:40   than safe 540 cats and they are dying [TS]

00:50:43   and I think if you're not getting rid of [TS]

00:50:46   the bodies on a fairly regular basis [TS]

00:50:48   it's time to start looking at yourself [TS]

00:50:50   that's what I'm saying I think that's [TS]

00:50:51   well past time that you should have been [TS]

00:50:53   looking I'm trying I'm not trying to [TS]

00:50:54   judge i'm not judging or you're dead [TS]

00:50:56   cats [TS]

00:50:56   well you know what happens in the thing [TS]

00:50:58   is according to this bacteria or [TS]

00:50:59   whatever theory is affecting the poop [TS]

00:51:01   that poops in the house you and now you [TS]

00:51:04   you suppose that that's that is the best [TS]

00:51:07   kids song I've ever heard you write like [TS]

00:51:09   that [TS]

00:51:10   first there's a cat house and then [TS]

00:51:11   there's five cats in the cats make poop [TS]

00:51:14   and that seems that the mountains and [TS]

00:51:15   the houses in and it's like it could you [TS]

00:51:17   want to be like one of the school bus [TS]

00:51:18   campfire songs we eventually go like 99 [TS]

00:51:20   bottles of beer on the wall you know [TS]

00:51:22   well before that guy in Florida like to [TS]

00:51:25   like totally changed face-eating as a [TS]

00:51:28   mean forever just the bath salts will be [TS]

00:51:30   yea that well but it wasn't bath salts [TS]

00:51:32   he was just don't tell you how much it [TS]

00:51:33   touching cats [TS]

00:51:34   well I'm talking about cats that were [TS]

00:51:36   eating people's faces when the people [TS]

00:51:37   died people would died in their house [TS]

00:51:39   with 15 cats and they can take their [TS]

00:51:41   face that was the original face-eating [TS]

00:51:44   yeah that that's definitely up there in [TS]

00:51:46   the ways i don't want to go [TS]

00:51:48   there's a there's a slightly [TS]

00:51:49   fictionalized well the song is a [TS]

00:51:52   fictionalized version of that song [TS]

00:51:53   Murray provost bye bye nick lowe and [TS]

00:51:57   it's about a former silent film star her [TS]

00:51:59   dog like eight ER after she died [TS]

00:52:01   oh she was a winner but she became the [TS]

00:52:03   doggies dinner he was still developing [TS]

00:52:05   as a leader assistant yeah yeah Nick [TS]

00:52:07   Cave niklo don't know that would be [TS]

00:52:10   great [TS]

00:52:11   you've been white [TS]

00:52:13   and cabin nipples actor toes the toes [TS]

00:52:16   pretty that's [TS]

00:52:18   but you know why we should get into this [TS]

00:52:21   because we're already doing it so many [TS]

00:52:22   letters probably more into written in [TS]

00:52:24   calligraphy um I I guess I guess what [TS]

00:52:27   I'm trying to get at is this i think [TS]

00:52:28   there's obviously you know one it's your [TS]

00:52:30   show I just think there's so much power [TS]

00:52:31   in these animals and you can be firm or [TS]

00:52:34   again them and I think you should you [TS]

00:52:36   should if I don't tell you what to do [TS]

00:52:37   but I can't tell you what to do but it [TS]

00:52:40   seems crazy to me not to leverage the [TS]

00:52:42   way this could benefit everyone [TS]

00:52:44   especially the people that you [TS]

00:52:45   eventually want to smite but that's the [TS]

00:52:47   thing i cannot at this juncture as much [TS]

00:52:51   foresight as i have as much inside as I [TS]

00:52:54   have into these creatures and I cannot [TS]

00:52:56   see the end [TS]

00:52:58   from where I stand I've been working on [TS]

00:53:00   my relationships with the raccoons of [TS]

00:53:04   the Northwest my entire life and I feel [TS]

00:53:06   like the raccoons and I understand one [TS]

00:53:08   another but they are inscrutable to me i [TS]

00:53:11   can I do not have the power to command [TS]

00:53:13   them and they don't that they don't seem [TS]

00:53:16   to mean they definitely want to engage [TS]

00:53:18   we have long conversations but then they [TS]

00:53:22   they do their little bow and put their [TS]

00:53:26   little hands together and do the little [TS]

00:53:27   like the same phenomena state bow and [TS]

00:53:30   then they are often to the darkness and [TS]

00:53:32   I'd I just I feel like it is not a [TS]

00:53:34   relationship that I'm trying to I'm [TS]

00:53:37   trying to shape or move in any direction [TS]

00:53:40   i'm just waiting and watching and [TS]

00:53:43   keeping every once in a while we meet in [TS]

00:53:45   a dark alley and I say hello and they [TS]

00:53:48   say namaste and we go our separate ways [TS]

00:53:51   and even if even if i die and all of [TS]

00:53:54   this collected wisdom and it all just [TS]

00:53:58   don't think I I don't think you'll die [TS]

00:54:01   John well it's it's conceivable if it [TS]

00:54:04   happens I think what will happen is that [TS]

00:54:07   that that that someone will take me out [TS]

00:54:09   i'm sure i've already got a cross hairs [TS]

00:54:11   on me you think it might be the animal [TS]

00:54:13   that does it [TS]

00:54:14   no no not at all the animals know the [TS]

00:54:16   animals no no and i think i think the [TS]

00:54:18   animals have probably protected me so [TS]

00:54:20   thus far in ways you may not even know [TS]

00:54:22   that's button here [TS]

00:54:22   the thing now that spider you never know [TS]

00:54:24   could be Charlotte's Web Wilson type [TS]

00:54:26   situation it could be something with [TS]

00:54:28   that monkey net is there because you're [TS]

00:54:29   not supposed to be in the top maybe [TS]

00:54:31   there's letting that time and it would [TS]

00:54:32   be stupid if you liked it [TS]

00:54:33   you're looking stuff very close to the [TS]

00:54:35   let you know you can have led you by [TS]

00:54:36   ingo your walgreens you buy a kit to [TS]

00:54:38   find how much like you got your bathtub [TS]

00:54:39   did you know that i didn't know but you [TS]

00:54:42   know much like we have in our bathtub [TS]

00:54:43   about shit tons in your bathtub 1928 [TS]

00:54:47   they don't replace much i think our [TS]

00:54:49   furnaces original but you know when [TS]

00:54:50   you're when you first get your kid you [TS]

00:54:52   worry about it [TS]

00:54:53   yeah you don't worry about as much later [TS]

00:54:54   the other did you do you don't you know [TS]

00:54:57   baby your daughter because of the LED [TS]

00:54:58   well I mean now we don't want to get [TS]

00:55:01   into your parenting know we know you [TS]

00:55:03   don't want to get into my parenting [TS]

00:55:04   that's a record and Ally my friend but [TS]

00:55:06   no well as easy in the early days [TS]

00:55:08   because you get a little bucket you [TS]

00:55:09   watch it watch the child a bucket and [TS]

00:55:11   there's no letting buckets by and large [TS]

00:55:12   as long as you if there is let you [TS]

00:55:14   remove it [TS]

00:55:15   did I do a good job as a parent that I [TS]

00:55:16   never watched my kid in a bucket when [TS]

00:55:18   she was small enough to go into a bucket [TS]

00:55:20   I think it depends it depends if you did [TS]

00:55:21   you do the same core did you just do it [TS]

00:55:23   down ecology do it from the time she was [TS]

00:55:26   she was very very little person i just [TS]

00:55:28   took her in the bathtub with me with you [TS]

00:55:30   so I had a sandwich I had the coffee i [TS]

00:55:32   had the smoothie the newspapers and then [TS]

00:55:34   I had this little uh zygote like a [TS]

00:55:37   little bouncy see her when she was just [TS]

00:55:39   such a kind of floating apparatus now [TS]

00:55:41   she's set on my me huh [TS]

00:55:45   I don't think that's so bad as long as [TS]

00:55:46   you don't you know center with the sub [TS]

00:55:48   she didn't die [TS]

00:55:49   no all you know Mazel Tov I I don't see [TS]

00:55:52   a problem in the world with that like [TS]

00:55:53   yeah although the one the one fear of [TS]

00:55:56   course the whole time was that she was [TS]

00:55:58   going to poop but you never did because [TS]

00:55:59   again i looked at her she looked at me [TS]

00:56:01   who there was an understanding yes she [TS]

00:56:04   said namaste [TS]

00:56:05   I said no poop in the bathtub you never [TS]

00:56:09   you never got one of those huh [TS]

00:56:11   she's never pooped on me never had a man [TS]

00:56:12   on the boat I we had that we had one [TS]

00:56:14   very tiny one that we all felt a little [TS]

00:56:15   bit bad about but wasn't I've heard [TS]

00:56:17   people save me some people to make them [TS]

00:56:19   they make it sound like you know [TS]

00:56:20   something happens all the time [TS]

00:56:21   well there are a lot of people who are [TS]

00:56:23   doing a terrible terrible terrible job [TS]

00:56:25   of raising their kids [TS]

00:56:26   well I think one thing is they let their [TS]

00:56:27   kids know that it's okay to poop and I [TS]

00:56:29   think when you send that message out [TS]

00:56:30   that's going to be reinforced it's [TS]

00:56:31   something that you know they-they-they [TS]

00:56:34   I think your child should never know [TS]

00:56:36   that you poop you you should you should [TS]

00:56:38   just assume that when they're in the [TS]

00:56:39   bathroom they're probably having a sob [TS]

00:56:40   working on some kind of relationship [TS]

00:56:41   with grackles and raccoons you serious [TS]

00:56:43   that's daddy's strategy room [TS]

00:56:45   yeah as they as they say you know with [TS]

00:56:47   every generation the the parenting style [TS]

00:56:49   switches you have a generation of strict [TS]

00:56:51   parents and then a generation of leaders [TS]

00:56:53   and parents who solutely i personally [TS]

00:56:54   agree I agree with that yes and and now [TS]

00:56:57   i am the I'm the new generation of [TS]

00:56:59   strict parent I do not want my child to [TS]

00:57:02   think it's okay for them to do anything [TS]

00:57:04   that's not okay for them that's just not [TS]

00:57:08   okay [TS]

00:57:08   it is it guilt is it self-doubt is it [TS]

00:57:11   fear what was there one governing thing [TS]

00:57:13   that you've instilled in her with terror [TS]

00:57:16   guilt self doubt or fear no none of [TS]

00:57:18   those things I I don't want her to feel [TS]

00:57:19   guilty or any self-doubt or any fear of [TS]

00:57:23   anything other than me [TS]

00:57:25   it's strictly fear of dad she's passing [TS]

00:57:28   everything through and add filter [TS]

00:57:29   yeah it's just like what's dad gonna say [TS]

00:57:30   about this dad your name [TS]

00:57:32   I think I can't think of a possible way [TS]

00:57:34   that could go wrong no it's not it's [TS]

00:57:36   it's foolproof [TS]

00:57:36   even if you give it if you're killed by [TS]

00:57:38   the Ravens at some point now they'll [TS]

00:57:39   probably come in like with the mob they [TS]

00:57:41   might come in and actually want to take [TS]

00:57:42   care of her [TS]

00:57:43   I don't think they always do that a [TS]

00:57:44   hundred percent you know when i'm going [TS]

00:57:46   to record because I'm already [TS]

00:57:47   introducing her to all the birds she [TS]

00:57:49   know that she has never known a world in [TS]

00:57:53   which she was not being held up two [TS]

00:57:55   birds and told to say hi [TS]

00:57:57   so then the birds know the birds know [TS]

00:58:00   that she's the Arab don't get--don't get [TS]

00:58:02   too friendly right don't go nuts [TS]

00:58:04   yeah you're not going to touch the birds [TS]

00:58:05   they don't that you don't want that [TS]

00:58:07   don't they have dander birds who yeah [TS]

00:58:09   they do have dancer but i'm not talking [TS]

00:58:11   about there are no birds in my house [TS]

00:58:12   except for the owls that periodically [TS]

00:58:14   appear in my bed I I've got that on a [TS]

00:58:15   car here one day I think well got down [TS]

00:58:19   there so much we should really have we [TS]

00:58:20   should have a probably in addition to [TS]

00:58:22   Hitler's tough couple other properties i [TS]

00:58:23   think the Owls I mean aren't vowels in [TS]

00:58:26   any form and I understand these are real [TS]

00:58:27   owls that were really there [TS]

00:58:29   I understand that right on you don't [TS]

00:58:32   think that that's that's telling you [TS]

00:58:34   something or pushing you in a direction [TS]

00:58:35   it seems to me this is your I know [TS]

00:58:37   you're 90 you're not a papist but it [TS]

00:58:39   seems to me this is your this is your [TS]

00:58:40   for 40 days in the desert type situation [TS]

00:58:43   this is the Damascus Road for me [TS]

00:58:45   yeah i do not but [TS]

00:58:47   unlike a lot of unlike a lot of profits [TS]

00:58:49   unlike a lot of people who to Jesus [TS]

00:58:52   appears on the Damascus Road him who [TS]

00:58:54   will go unnamed in this podcast who i am [TS]

00:58:57   not somebody who's going to sit down and [TS]

00:58:59   write it all down thinking that I know [TS]

00:59:01   what it is [TS]

00:59:01   look at that I'm not some Muhammad like [TS]

00:59:04   person easy to write a Koran god i am [TS]

00:59:08   gonna get so much you're gonna get so [TS]

00:59:11   much [TS]

00:59:12   Abraham at cosplay email you know what [TS]

00:59:14   you know what I'm going to get a lot of [TS]

00:59:15   letters [TS]

00:59:16   I'm gonna get a lot of letters from [TS]

00:59:17   people who are very very angry that i [TS]

00:59:21   took mom's name in vain none of whom are [TS]

00:59:23   actually Muslims they're just a bunch of [TS]

00:59:24   liberals from bellingham who are upset [TS]

00:59:27   on behalf of our non monkey what could [TS]

00:59:29   be more ping pong then apologizing [TS]

00:59:32   they're protecting somebody on their [TS]

00:59:34   behalf what could be looking at more [TS]

00:59:36   ping pong it is the it is the ultimate [TS]

00:59:37   condescension and it is at the core of [TS]

00:59:40   our of our left of society now but I [TS]

00:59:44   don't want to get into that ok i do not [TS]

00:59:46   know what the Owls want and i am not [TS]

00:59:48   speculating I'm waiting I'm just waiting [TS]

00:59:51   John had to tell you for somebody who's [TS]

00:59:53   pillows turn to owls you seem very very [TS]

00:59:55   centered about this entire thing [TS]

00:59:57   well it all is good it all leads to [TS]

00:59:58   something yeah [TS]

00:59:58   something yeah [TS]

01:00:00   and I do it has i am I have to [TS]

01:00:01   understand at this point that i do not [TS]

01:00:04   have all the information it's not that I [TS]

01:00:05   have stopped researching know and I'm [TS]

01:00:08   all the more reason that I am looking [TS]

01:00:10   birds in the eye because maybe one day [TS]

01:00:14   one of those eyes is going to flash me I [TS]

01:00:17   John I'm gonna need an extra extra extra [TS]

01:00:19   desk because I just I just had a flash [TS]

01:00:21   of something like enlightenment or I'm [TS]

01:00:22   seeing I'm seeing a thread here you're [TS]

01:00:24   open to bronies you're looking at birds [TS]

01:00:27   that's right right your jacket first [TS]

01:00:29   you're checking for spooks in the [TS]

01:00:30   corners that's correct [TS]

01:00:32   you've got you've got the Owls there and [TS]

01:00:34   they're there they're not talking to you [TS]

01:00:35   because I was don't talk but they're [TS]

01:00:36   there [TS]

01:00:37   John I think somewhere in this is a [TS]

01:00:38   through-line we've got to keep doing [TS]

01:00:40   this show because I think we're going i [TS]

01:00:41   III don't know I you're going to be fine [TS]

01:00:44   either way you have grackles crows and [TS]

01:00:45   ravens to protect you but I think [TS]

01:00:47   there's something here that can help a [TS]

01:00:48   lot of people you have clearly tapped [TS]

01:00:50   into or been tapped in to buy something [TS]

01:00:52   very significant well my feelings [TS]

01:00:54   feelings when you walk around you feel [TS]

01:00:55   that gravitas you go to the mall and you [TS]

01:00:57   do you feel that sense that there's a [TS]

01:00:59   weight on your shoulders that your you [TS]

01:01:01   could be a very important character [TS]

01:01:03   well since I was very young I understood [TS]

01:01:05   that I was an important character but I [TS]

01:01:06   never felt as a weight it is a [TS]

01:01:08   responsibility if the weight is a gift [TS]

01:01:10   the weight is a gift well oh my god [TS]

01:01:14   sometimes when i cross the street I I i [TS]

01:01:18   haven't i'm not going to say much about [TS]

01:01:20   this [TS]

01:01:21   a friend has not mean sometimes crosses [TS]

01:01:24   the street [TS]

01:01:25   knowing that it's gonna be a tough [TS]

01:01:26   street knowing that it is near the time [TS]

01:01:29   of day usually you know i am the western [TS]

01:01:32   part of town people going down the [TS]

01:01:33   street the Suns in their eyes they're [TS]

01:01:34   blowing through stop signs top street [TS]

01:01:36   doesn't hurt to have a handful of [TS]

01:01:38   pennies [TS]

01:01:39   whoa ya roar or if they're driving real [TS]

01:01:42   fast the other direction you hit him [TS]

01:01:45   with a handful of pennies [TS]

01:01:46   I wouldn't why I know is I now if that [TS]

01:01:50   happened to you from God right [TS]

01:01:53   oh my god well if somebody threw a [TS]

01:01:55   handful of pennies of my car I would [TS]

01:01:56   pull up the emergency brake [TS]

01:01:58   yeah and 24 points like slide stop and [TS]

01:02:03   be out of the car before the card stop [TS]

01:02:05   moving [TS]

01:02:06   good luck chasing through the park up [TS]

01:02:09   because you know what I mean you know [TS]

01:02:10   I'm saying it's like the Vietcong [TS]

01:02:12   they know where the rabbit holes are [TS]

01:02:13   your heroes you're sitting there you're [TS]

01:02:15   sitting there and you're white pickup [TS]

01:02:16   truck going for opinion to my car okay [TS]

01:02:20   that people you know there are several [TS]

01:02:22   up any you don't throw a handful of [TS]

01:02:24   friends I don't throw anything jealousy [TS]

01:02:26   but your friend your your friends not [TS]

01:02:27   your friend is not me [TS]

01:02:28   throws one pen i think you know and [TS]

01:02:31   here's the thing you get off that one of [TS]

01:02:32   the streetcars and streetcars that you [TS]

01:02:34   leave out of now if you did your if you [TS]

01:02:36   did you're leaping exit you may very [TS]

01:02:38   well get hit by some dick because the [TS]

01:02:40   law is so clear here and this is a good [TS]

01:02:42   law the law is that train stops you stop [TS]

01:02:45   you do not cross the plain of the back [TS]

01:02:47   of the Train [TS]

01:02:48   well your front of your car you sit [TS]

01:02:50   there like a fucking gentleman don't I [TS]

01:02:52   every person every old lady every little [TS]

01:02:55   aged man and his adorable daughter get [TS]

01:02:57   off of that train and you sit there and [TS]

01:02:58   you don't make a face but people don't [TS]

01:03:00   do this well this is wesley pedestrian [TS]

01:03:02   penny should be a thing here i think if [TS]

01:03:05   you do that if you if you start even [TS]

01:03:07   sliding up the doors are closed you [TS]

01:03:09   should wait until the trains gone [TS]

01:03:11   I think there's a technique that i have [TS]

01:03:13   used to great effect over the years [TS]

01:03:15   adestria pennies and it is it's in the [TS]

01:03:17   family of throwing the penny and that is [TS]

01:03:20   if a car goes by you too closely have a [TS]

01:03:23   car takes a corner and you were about to [TS]

01:03:25   step off the sidewalk across the road [TS]

01:03:27   and suddenly this guy right in front of [TS]

01:03:28   you if you kick the car really hard and [TS]

01:03:37   then act like an injury talking about [TS]

01:03:41   you talk about hood and trunk a quarter [TS]

01:03:42   quarter panel within a quarter in your [TS]

01:03:44   bills get if you can hit a truck a trunk [TS]

01:03:46   though they didn't you know what I mean [TS]

01:03:48   they sped by their busy not looking at [TS]

01:03:51   you because they're embarrassed right [TS]

01:03:52   right thing is the trunk [TS]

01:03:54   it's like a kettledrum but if you kick a [TS]

01:03:57   quarter panel you can actually you can [TS]

01:04:00   actually do some damage immediately and [TS]

01:04:02   a quarter panel the last quarter-century [TS]

01:04:03   i left the house that's just that's a [TS]

01:04:05   joke this quarter panel you go boom and [TS]

01:04:08   then they look in their rearview mirror [TS]

01:04:09   and you are grabbing your leg and ride [TS]

01:04:12   any negative 80 [TS]

01:04:13   Oh half the time the Carl stop and the [TS]

01:04:17   personal get out and say we got him so [TS]

01:04:19   sorry [TS]

01:04:20   and then you can like do the walk it off [TS]

01:04:22   like so it's cool it's cool [TS]

01:04:24   watch where you're going and yeah walk [TS]

01:04:25   it off but other times they speed off [TS]

01:04:27   and then that haunts them they'd never I [TS]

01:04:30   would never try to defend pedestrian [TS]

01:04:31   pennies i don't need to i've never done [TS]

01:04:32   it but here's what i will tell you John [TS]

01:04:34   i do not know a lot about life you know [TS]

01:04:36   about life and i hope you'll tell me if [TS]

01:04:37   this resonates with you there are very [TS]

01:04:39   few people who do a bad thing one time [TS]

01:04:42   oh that's absolutely true I think you're [TS]

01:04:44   gonna go villains if you're going to go [TS]

01:04:46   out and make yourself the lady horse I [TS]

01:04:48   don't think you do that one time [TS]

01:04:50   yes of course let's be honest you have [TS]

01:04:52   to have the first time [TS]

01:04:53   yeah i'm just saying that for all kinds [TS]

01:04:55   of bad diddling in particular I don't [TS]

01:04:57   think you just go that's fine i've had [TS]

01:04:58   my six-pack and now I'm done [TS]

01:05:00   no no no you don't you ask the late you [TS]

01:05:02   escalate it goes higher you watching it [TS]

01:05:04   usually you read any of these books [TS]

01:05:05   about the Quantico which i think might [TS]

01:05:07   be a bit of a scam but you read about [TS]

01:05:08   the Quantico you read about the studying [TS]

01:05:10   you read about the lecture and you learn [TS]

01:05:12   that it goes up and up and up to get [TS]

01:05:13   back to Chikatilo but this is that but [TS]

01:05:16   it is possible i believe that this is [TS]

01:05:18   one of the big problems of growing up is [TS]

01:05:20   you want to say it is possible to learn [TS]

01:05:22   and grow because you want to be able to [TS]

01:05:25   learn and grow yourself but at the same [TS]

01:05:27   time you have to look at other people [TS]

01:05:28   and realize that it's very unusual that [TS]

01:05:30   someone learns or grows as they get [TS]

01:05:32   older [TS]

01:05:33   really and in my own case back in the [TS]

01:05:36   soul patch days I was kicking people's [TS]

01:05:39   quarter panels and pretending that [TS]

01:05:41   they'd run over my legs well of course [TS]

01:05:42   you're out you're kicking truth to power [TS]

01:05:44   but I don't do it anymore because I've [TS]

01:05:46   learned and grown and so when a car cuts [TS]

01:05:49   me off now I just liked it i just go you [TS]

01:05:53   will get yours down the road when the [TS]

01:05:55   birds come to pick out your eyes [TS]

01:05:57   in the meantime until you really are you [TS]

01:06:00   thinking I you so the first of all [TS]

01:06:02   kudos it sounds to me like you've [TS]

01:06:03   evolved thank you you get rid of that [TS]

01:06:05   fucking beard I used to have one I look [TS]

01:06:07   so stupid i was little haha i had one in [TS]

01:06:10   the early 2000s an execrable it looked [TS]

01:06:12   awful you look great in a Mustang I [TS]

01:06:15   don't know why you don't wear one that's [TS]

01:06:16   not even that's not even funny segment [TS]

01:06:17   joke i don't know your mustache is [TS]

01:06:19   spectacular you look like you look like [TS]

01:06:21   but the prince and the princess bride [TS]

01:06:24   you know i was younger i look at roberts [TS]

01:06:27   what you know when I was younger I i was [TS]

01:06:29   told by many people that I look like a [TS]

01:06:31   cross between him and Michael Palin [TS]

01:06:32   which should you thank you and thank you [TS]

01:06:34   now is now have a look at ted scurry if [TS]

01:06:38   you grew a mustache right now you would [TS]

01:06:39   look immediately like the dread pirate [TS]

01:06:40   roberts who had aged a little bit except [TS]

01:06:44   that the catcher's mitt [TS]

01:06:45   um I boy there's levels to this John [TS]

01:06:49   there's so many levels to this I you [TS]

01:06:50   know I'm i guess i shouldn't really push [TS]

01:06:52   your buttons about this animal issue [TS]

01:06:54   because it's probably something you [TS]

01:06:54   can't talk about but I'm fascinated by [TS]

01:06:56   that I'm trying to grow as a person John [TS]

01:06:58   Roderick i'm trying i first of all you [TS]

01:07:00   know what I mean it's like a mountain to [TS]

01:07:01   Mohammed no offense but like you start [TS]

01:07:03   out and you're kicking offenders in the [TS]

01:07:04   soul patch right there you go a little [TS]

01:07:06   further and it will fuck you the birds [TS]

01:07:07   gonna pick your eyes out one day I want [TS]

01:07:09   to reach the point in life where I've [TS]

01:07:11   given up on the boot is amount of time [TS]

01:07:13   to sit I'm not gonna do it not the [TS]

01:07:14   Buddhism I just like just die I'm you [TS]

01:07:16   know it's boring it's all you got a lot [TS]

01:07:18   of rules it's got a lot of rules all [TS]

01:07:21   religions to that's the thing about them [TS]

01:07:23   ok so anyway I and so you know where i [TS]

01:07:27   want to evolve to the point where I and [TS]

01:07:29   this is this is the phrase this has [TS]

01:07:30   become it's certainly not mantra but [TS]

01:07:33   it's something I think about the phrases [TS]

01:07:34   stupid not allowed to stick to me and so [TS]

01:07:37   now you're you're stupid tough lon [TS]

01:07:40   yeah that's the kind of call the dr phil [TS]

01:07:41   ism I'm stupid teflon stupids not [TS]

01:07:44   allowed to that might be the awesomest [TS]

01:07:46   rapper name ever [TS]

01:07:47   stupid tough climbs ECMC stupid teflon [TS]

01:07:50   up [TS]

01:07:51   look at me and you can see stupid not [TS]

01:07:54   allowed to stick to me what am I this [TS]

01:07:56   fact ways what the fuck kind of wrapping [TS]

01:07:57   is that I don't know it sounded it [TS]

01:07:59   sounded like some some really bad [TS]

01:08:01   sounded like something that would be [TS]

01:08:02   happening at the gathering of the [TS]

01:08:03   juggalos sounds like something happened [TS]

01:08:05   a corporate event really let's break up [TS]

01:08:08   Bob Henderson to do is wrap up [TS]

01:08:11   everything about the hold steady now [TS]

01:08:14   oh and that's going on the card with a [TS]

01:08:17   religion i'm cutting all of that out you [TS]

01:08:19   see another bad word about the cold [TS]

01:08:21   study and you're going to have a record [TS]

01:08:22   in your house my friend I believe you [TS]

01:08:24   are needed your raccoon in here already [TS]

01:08:25   don't you like Bruce Springsteen don't [TS]

01:08:28   okay so um I'm trying to grow as i like [TS]

01:08:31   you personally I think he's a super guy [TS]

01:08:34   i was on an airplane the other day and I [TS]

01:08:36   next was like [TS]

01:08:38   yeah so I so what do you do and I'm like [TS]

01:08:40   I'm a musician he's like oh really what [TS]

01:08:43   kind of Mandy and I God's rock-and-roll [TS]

01:08:44   bands like you mean like the boss I got [TS]

01:08:49   all around fucking here early early in [TS]

01:08:51   the wild it right away many things in [TS]

01:08:55   his backpack [TS]

01:08:55   he's there with his daughter as lawyers [TS]

01:08:58   like like 13 no idea how lucky he was to [TS]

01:09:02   have her there is that the daughters [TS]

01:09:03   looking out the window the whole time he [TS]

01:09:05   digs in his backpack and produces us a [TS]

01:09:08   fistful I'm a fistful of a slim jims is [TS]

01:09:15   like a jerky and I feel like I gotta [TS]

01:09:20   take a jerk you off this guy [TS]

01:09:22   it's it's a gesture that's a human [TS]

01:09:23   gesture on an airplane to offer to you [TS]

01:09:25   somebody wasn't a branded macho man [TS]

01:09:28   randy savage style slim jim [TS]

01:09:29   no no it was just it was just a regular [TS]

01:09:31   slim just like a trader joes jerky it [TS]

01:09:33   was not a trader joes jerk you know it [TS]

01:09:35   was a properly it was a proper like full [TS]

01:09:37   of chemicals and and whatever those also [TS]

01:09:43   sweet and salty like for real like [TS]

01:09:44   teriyaki canada jerky [TS]

01:09:46   yeah but not even teriyaki flavor this [TS]

01:09:48   was all standard form nitrate [TS]

01:09:50   impregnated Jerky's eat it [TS]

01:09:53   yeah it like a half a dozen of every [TS]

01:09:55   time I would finish want to be like one [TS]

01:09:57   another jerky as he's talking to me [TS]

01:09:59   about the boss I'll John that sounds [TS]

01:10:02   like a jam up as someone as as people [TS]

01:10:05   who are into the boss do we're talking [TS]

01:10:07   to you about the boss as though you they [TS]

01:10:09   are Mormons and your Mormons but you [TS]

01:10:11   have never heard of Mormonism right like [TS]

01:10:13   you obviously understand and art as just [TS]

01:10:16   as big a fan but they're also repeating [TS]

01:10:18   everything just in case you didn't know [TS]

01:10:19   about you just in case you didn't know [TS]

01:10:22   that Nebraska was his best record and [TS]

01:10:24   I'm sitting next to this guy's a [TS]

01:10:25   perfectly nice guy I kept trying to [TS]

01:10:27   steer the conversation to Dylan because [TS]

01:10:29   he also wanted to talk about dylan but [TS]

01:10:32   he kept bringing it back to the boss and [TS]

01:10:34   I just don't have that much to say about [TS]

01:10:35   the boss i'm not opposed to the park [TS]

01:10:37   well i mean i'm going to change the [TS]

01:10:38   subject to the best of my ability here [TS]

01:10:41   yeah which is that you know I really [TS]

01:10:44   don't like steer the conversation guy [TS]

01:10:46   and it happens on planes and what I'm [TS]

01:10:48   gonna play nice on a plane this past [TS]

01:10:49   week and I mean I eat I think it's super [TS]

01:10:52   important in the first especially before [TS]

01:10:54   all my god before the flight but [TS]

01:10:56   especially in the period before the food [TS]

01:10:58   really up until just the point of right [TS]

01:11:00   before landing murugan final ism like [TS]

01:11:03   you have to throw a shape that you are [TS]

01:11:05   not going to be the talkie person that [TS]

01:11:08   you're not going to be receptive that's [TS]

01:11:10   when they go all scream all you're not [TS]

01:11:13   gonna respond you're not gonna move you [TS]

01:11:15   don't hear you're not there you're not [TS]

01:11:16   there but the problem with this flight [TS]

01:11:18   it was a flight to San Diego and I [TS]

01:11:21   thought I made the name made the [TS]

01:11:22   category error of thinking that West [TS]

01:11:25   Coast flights for me are all really [TS]

01:11:27   short it's like I got on a plane i'll be [TS]

01:11:30   in san francisco in our city temporarily [TS]

01:11:32   they're just like but there's just it's [TS]

01:11:35   just like I'm just walking through a [TS]

01:11:37   door basically walk through a door onto [TS]

01:11:39   a metal tube full of long pigs are far [TS]

01:11:43   too full of long pigs [TS]

01:11:44   I'm gonna be on here for a few minutes [TS]

01:11:45   and then I'm off the other side i'm [TS]

01:11:47   somewhere else but San Diego's [TS]

01:11:49   two-and-a-half hours away it was a long [TS]

01:11:51   it's not a long time san diego might as [TS]

01:11:53   well be Mexico [TS]

01:11:54   yeah it's Mexico with volleyball san [TS]

01:11:57   diego is wow wow it's not even that it's [TS]

01:12:02   boring it's like it's worse than boring [TS]

01:12:04   because it's boring and also karate [TS]

01:12:07   right it's also like karate like a [TS]

01:12:10   crotch its gravity like a crotch but [TS]

01:12:14   it's like light like it like a nut [TS]

01:12:15   butter churn [TS]

01:12:16   it's it's like you eat you walk past [TS]

01:12:18   these places and you think there are [TS]

01:12:20   still bars like that [TS]

01:12:22   all right there are still bars like that [TS]

01:12:24   aren't in southern Europe where people [TS]

01:12:27   are are just are that CD but also boring [TS]

01:12:32   i was a terrible combination [TS]

01:12:35   yes ed is is often at least at least in [TS]

01:12:40   the Fourier of innocent people who [TS]

01:12:42   choose still cheap things exactly you [TS]

01:12:46   know i mean it if you see is that am I [TS]

01:12:48   wrong [TS]

01:12:49   no that's exactly right i read something [TS]

01:12:51   once this is pretty good career advice I [TS]

01:12:53   thought which is and i have broken [TS]

01:12:55   broken in my entire life but I never [TS]

01:12:57   never steal anything more expensive than [TS]

01:12:58   a pencil where you work [TS]

01:13:00   I think it's true i think when you steal [TS]

01:13:01   you still big you guys still fucking big [TS]

01:13:03   you still little you know what I'm [TS]

01:13:04   saying [TS]

01:13:05   that would be like that would be like [TS]

01:13:06   having a wife that you love and uh [TS]

01:13:09   necking with somebody you know that's [TS]

01:13:13   what is acceptable gross like I [TS]

01:13:16   personally I I have no interest I mean [TS]

01:13:19   like I couldn't live with myself if I [TS]

01:13:20   did something like that but if I don't [TS]

01:13:22   you wanna know how I always fucking blow [TS]

01:13:23   it out your wife is gonna be at that [TS]

01:13:25   it's going to be the playboy mansion and [TS]

01:13:27   it's going to be like three days not [TS]

01:13:29   even all got the Playboy Mansion man [TS]

01:13:31   ah they could make my pants miller place [TS]

01:13:33   like that it would be a lot darker John [TS]

01:13:34   it would be a lot darker that right to [TS]

01:13:36   be able to be a donkey show and TJ [TS]

01:13:37   that's my favorite hold steady records [TS]

01:13:41   uh-uh there's a talking he's up on the [TS]

01:13:44   stage that donkeys up Terry's filled [TS]

01:13:46   with rage and tiana yeah i'm reading out [TS]

01:13:50   of our employee handbook going on the [TS]

01:13:55   list goes on the list [TS]

01:13:56   they're so good Bruce cavity in the [TS]

01:13:58   beaver Brown bow [TS]

01:14:00   god dammit you get an anti bell for this [TS]

01:14:03   Oded Bell is so much to cover [TS]

01:14:07   ok so i think people who steal cheap [TS]

01:14:09   things are are tedious yeah right and [TS]

01:14:12   it's petty already you're like you're [TS]

01:14:14   like Peter Lorre you're like me many [TS]

01:14:16   people who still big things are are are [TS]

01:14:18   are petty and small you gotta really [TS]

01:14:20   steal big to learn my admiration [TS]

01:14:23   well I this is something we obviously [TS]

01:14:25   cannot get into but but I you're wealthy [TS]

01:14:29   rock star but getting something I'm just [TS]

01:14:31   saying you're not going to a fucking [TS]

01:14:32   kickstarter for super train people to [TS]

01:14:34   see that coming a mile off you're going [TS]

01:14:36   to need some substantial James Bond [TS]

01:14:38   villain type shit to bootstrap [TS]

01:14:40   supertrain speaking of which there's an [TS]

01:14:43   island in the middle of San Francisco [TS]

01:14:46   Bay a five-acre island uninhabited that [TS]

01:14:51   recently was on the market for 22 [TS]

01:14:54   million dollars and the other day i read [TS]

01:14:57   an article in the real estate section [TS]

01:14:59   level of a newspaper that will go [TS]

01:15:03   unnamed that said that the price of this [TS]

01:15:06   island had been reduced to five million [TS]

01:15:07   dollars [TS]

01:15:08   well this is the island veterans haunted [TS]

01:15:11   John it's over by sausalito like it's [TS]

01:15:14   between Alcatraz and like over by Angel [TS]

01:15:17   Island is that these little islands I [TS]

01:15:18   and I remember hearing that there was [TS]

01:15:19   enough for second thoughts about the [TS]

01:15:20   Farallones which would not be a nice [TS]

01:15:22   place to live but but you're saying [TS]

01:15:24   right in that super expensive Hebraic [TS]

01:15:27   area nearer nearer and Angel Island but [TS]

01:15:30   tiburon like your typical on that kind [TS]

01:15:31   of area right there is an island for [TS]

01:15:33   sale over there 45 million dollars and [TS]

01:15:37   it occurred to me that five million [TS]

01:15:38   dollars for a lot of people in San [TS]

01:15:39   Francisco is just the interest payment [TS]

01:15:42   on their boat [TS]

01:15:43   I cannot believe that some it's called [TS]

01:15:48   what is it called Red Rock Island look [TS]

01:15:51   this up here it is right here [TS]

01:15:54   well I mean obviously you don't you're [TS]

01:15:55   selling past the clothes it's a [TS]

01:15:56   no-brainer [TS]

01:15:57   I would take the battery i would pick up [TS]

01:15:59   every island if there is not one [TS]

01:16:00   available i'd buy it [TS]

01:16:01   yeah if I work for apple or some other [TS]

01:16:03   companies out there that it was paying [TS]

01:16:06   people and when I know where the source [TS]

01:16:08   of your facts come from when you have a [TS]

01:16:11   new file card on some phenomena and [TS]

01:16:13   based on hearing something from one or [TS]

01:16:15   two people i like to know [TS]

01:16:16   rare occasionally I will know where that [TS]

01:16:18   came from [TS]

01:16:20   anyway in this one instance this island [TS]

01:16:23   red rock island for sale at examples [TS]

01:16:26   just obey six acres of rock and it is [TS]

01:16:30   now only five million dollars i can't [TS]

01:16:32   believe up first of all I am super mad [TS]

01:16:35   that I don't have five million dollars [TS]

01:16:36   because I would be buying that island [TS]

01:16:39   right now and what an incredible place [TS]

01:16:41   for your evil genius like you make if [TS]

01:16:45   you had if you had if you had paper [TS]

01:16:46   mache and five gay men you could not [TS]

01:16:48   make a scary-looking villain island in [TS]

01:16:50   that isn't that incredible village it is [TS]

01:16:53   literally read it is and it looks like [TS]

01:16:55   from an angle it looks like a pirate [TS]

01:16:57   ship you would be living on that island [TS]

01:16:59   and open i think you would build a [TS]

01:17:01   one-story house with a lot of glass and [TS]

01:17:04   a helipad and you would be so evil over [TS]

01:17:09   there I don't know united into the [TS]

01:17:11   comics in the Avengers but we should get [TS]

01:17:12   back to a man at some point but you but [TS]

01:17:14   do you think most of that would be [TS]

01:17:15   subterranean I'm just thinking I i of [TS]

01:17:18   course you mean the what it would look [TS]

01:17:19   like a mansion but then are ye I see [TS]

01:17:22   what you're saying you'd have you have [TS]

01:17:23   hundreds of guys all wearing jumpsuits [TS]

01:17:25   running back and forth and no brainer [TS]

01:17:27   you have a tube at all the other guys [TS]

01:17:29   series of tubes that could get them to [TS]

01:17:31   various different places you can have [TS]

01:17:32   one when that goes to the whole foods [TS]

01:17:34   but one goes to the NY wholly-owned [TS]

01:17:36   Island in San Francisco is that right [TS]

01:17:38   I've kidding me that's you know what I [TS]

01:17:41   just what the fuck is wrong with this [TS]

01:17:43   city [TS]

01:17:44   why do I not on this already John [TS]

01:17:46   there's there's there's no there's no [TS]

01:17:47   reason the fucking reason that you [TS]

01:17:49   should not on this island [TS]

01:17:50   you know I understand you've got you've [TS]

01:17:52   gotten and your sometimes up sahtain [TS]

01:17:53   that's right but but this is that you [TS]

01:17:56   know what you should go you should go [TS]

01:17:57   talk to your boss and do all your suit [TS]

01:17:59   up boss you should talk to your contact [TS]

01:18:00   your field agent [TS]

01:18:02   you should talk to paul allen about this [TS]

01:18:03   that's walking around money for him [TS]

01:18:05   what I'm thinking we could take you what [TS]

01:18:07   I'm thinking is we have a lot of [TS]

01:18:08   listeners to this program [TS]

01:18:10   yeah we have a lot of listeners of this [TS]

01:18:12   program is how is the racing starter I'm [TS]

01:18:14   turning the whole thing off what is the [TS]

01:18:15   right to my work is the right word that [TS]

01:18:18   I'm looking for the continued [TS]

01:18:19   constituents about we have a large [TS]

01:18:20   constituency that right what you say [TS]

01:18:22   that i would say it said that and some [TS]

01:18:26   of those people are software [TS]

01:18:27   billionaires and there's eyes and [TS]

01:18:32   they're sitting right now in an [TS]

01:18:35   unfurnished house right on the same [TS]

01:18:38   couch that they brought from their [TS]

01:18:40   college dorms and they're looking up [TS]

01:18:42   they have one poster on the wall and [TS]

01:18:43   it's a put a poster of a white Porsche [TS]

01:18:45   it's like something by josh Josh Wheaton [TS]

01:18:47   I'll best up from a TV show serenity [TS]

01:18:51   they're sitting in their house there and [TS]

01:18:53   it's one of those houses where the [TS]

01:18:55   entryway is like three stories tall but [TS]

01:18:57   there's no furniture in it and they're [TS]

01:18:59   like they're sitting on beanbag chair [TS]

01:19:00   there listening to Roderick on the line [TS]

01:19:02   and they're thinking god I should buy [TS]

01:19:05   that island for John Roderick yeah and [TS]

01:19:08   if it after they should have to turn the [TS]

01:19:10   show off and they sit down with their [TS]

01:19:12   vegan wheatgrass and listen to [TS]

01:19:15   intelligent dance music whatever the [TS]

01:19:16   fuck that is they take a moment to think [TS]

01:19:18   they pull out an extremely costly [TS]

01:19:20   fountain pen that they hardly ever use [TS]

01:19:22   they walk out by the immaculately gift [TS]

01:19:25   oh well could be maybe they got it from [TS]

01:19:28   my with some of their the the stock [TS]

01:19:29   options you go out to the pool that you [TS]

01:19:31   never use right here your beer your [TS]

01:19:34   basic you're basically what's his name [TS]

01:19:36   Benjamin Braddock right you're basically [TS]

01:19:38   the graduates you know dad at this point [TS]

01:19:39   even though you're like 20 you want [TS]

01:19:41   fucking hoodie right yeah and so you go [TS]

01:19:44   and you think yourself for a minute you [TS]

01:19:46   start to get up she started foundation i [TS]

01:19:48   should change the world [TS]

01:19:49   I should make a rubber bracelet fuck you [TS]

01:19:52   buy an island for John Roderick that's [TS]

01:19:54   right that's just a change the world if [TS]

01:19:56   I was that if i have that i am the world [TS]

01:19:58   would beget would that would be the [TS]

01:20:00   first sign this is your state and land [TS]

01:20:02   John the thing is you need a foothold [TS]

01:20:04   the thing is this is not i'm just going [TS]

01:20:06   to say i don't want to say too much here [TS]

01:20:07   this is not gonna sustain the level of [TS]

01:20:11   fucked upness that you're going to be [TS]

01:20:13   bringing forth the supertrain just and [TS]

01:20:15   let's be honest right now a train can't [TS]

01:20:16   get there [TS]

01:20:17   that's the dressing implementation [TS]

01:20:18   problem today that they used to think [TS]

01:20:20   you couldn't find a Paris [TS]

01:20:22   that's right they used to think you [TS]

01:20:23   could take a train to Paris but i don't [TS]

01:20:25   use a rock climbing for this is a [TS]

01:20:26   foothold this is a place it looks like a [TS]

01:20:28   fuckin pirate ship it will not cost you [TS]

01:20:31   know what they do a lot of times done [TS]

01:20:32   are you telling me if I understand [TS]

01:20:33   correctly [TS]

01:20:33   are you telling me they wanted 20-some [TS]

01:20:35   million dollars for this and then bust [TS]

01:20:37   it down to five million the comment is a [TS]

01:20:39   distressed property this is I'm gonna [TS]

01:20:41   try to move they probably they probably [TS]

01:20:42   you know what they probably and not a [TS]

01:20:45   refi you know when people don't pay [TS]

01:20:47   their mortgage you know they don't sell [TS]

01:20:49   or yeah you know it's really hard yard [TS]

01:20:51   possession exactly they went into the [TS]

01:20:52   yard possession on this they don't do it [TS]

01:20:54   now that have to pay the electricity [TS]

01:20:55   they're having to pay for the pirate [TS]

01:20:57   flag there's no electricity out there [TS]

01:20:59   not that you know of alright well the [TS]

01:21:01   thing is I who owned it before them [TS]

01:21:03   about you you know it's not some family [TS]

01:21:05   for many many years and I bet you what [TS]

01:21:07   happened is they go out there and they [TS]

01:21:09   realize that it's an Indian burial [TS]

01:21:10   ground or something like that they spent [TS]

01:21:12   the night on the beach one time and can [TS]

01:21:14   in a tent in the middle of the night [TS]

01:21:16   entire army of dead soldiers came and [TS]

01:21:20   spooked him [TS]

01:21:21   mm and they were like we can't live on [TS]

01:21:23   that island let's get out of here and [TS]

01:21:24   they split the island has been [TS]

01:21:26   undeveloped all these years but I feel [TS]

01:21:28   like my experience enables me to go to [TS]

01:21:31   that Island and make a day Tom's a [TS]

01:21:35   reproach moment with whatever spooks are [TS]

01:21:37   there and say listen [TS]

01:21:39   listen spooks right this island is going [TS]

01:21:42   to be the headquarter let's talk right [TS]

01:21:45   of of of super train and a of an evil [TS]

01:21:48   empire that I building which is not evil [TS]

01:21:51   it's chaotic good that's they're often [TS]

01:21:53   mistaken for one another who but I need [TS]

01:21:56   your help here and the first thing we [TS]

01:21:58   need to do is like put the kibosh on [TS]

01:22:00   some of this spookin and get you like [TS]

01:22:03   back into a comfortable place if that [TS]

01:22:06   means I have to burn some sage I will [TS]

01:22:08   mmm i'm not going to have not gonna put [TS]

01:22:09   up any prayer flags or anything like [TS]

01:22:11   that you know but if you need like a [TS]

01:22:13   like a water feature [TS]

01:22:14   even though we're on an island in the [TS]

01:22:16   middle of a bay i'll put up a little [TS]

01:22:18   drippy water feature if that soothes you [TS]

01:22:20   that calms you get him giving focus and [TS]

01:22:24   then we can get to work building a [TS]

01:22:25   network of tunnels and then a and a and [TS]

01:22:29   a big sort of like a Frank Lloyd Wright [TS]

01:22:32   style house on the top [TS]

01:22:34   not Frank Perry about Frank you don't [TS]

01:22:38   want to look like a like a slinky that [TS]

01:22:40   somebody stepped on [TS]

01:22:42   i thinkyou 2007 Glickman now a gem [TS]

01:22:47   dealer in Thailand what I now it was [TS]

01:22:51   reading the Glickman mhm but there's a [TS]

01:22:55   plan haiti's to cut off the top half of [TS]

01:22:57   the island what a goddamn shame and [TS]

01:22:59   asshole [TS]

01:23:00   we're all god dammit John I think you [TS]

01:23:02   have do you're going to have to burn [TS]

01:23:04   some fucking serious sage and the [TS]

01:23:05   nineteen eighties plane was floated plan [TS]

01:23:07   was floated you know Wikipedia but never [TS]

01:23:10   implemented to remove the top half the [TS]

01:23:12   island which would be sold for highway [TS]

01:23:14   roadbed construction this guy stick it [TS]

01:23:16   on the supertrain level the island would [TS]

01:23:18   then be developed with a 10-story hotel [TS]

01:23:20   and casino 10 stories on that island [TS]

01:23:22   really or and a yacht harbor on the [TS]

01:23:25   league which apparently means northside [TS]

01:23:27   water and power would be provided [TS]

01:23:28   connected to the San Rafael bridge [TS]

01:23:31   ok ok so here we go step 0 first of all [TS]

01:23:34   you got it gets five million dollars [TS]

01:23:35   plus whatever you get when you have a [TS]

01:23:38   distressed property John a lot of times [TS]

01:23:39   you can go in as I understand it your [TS]

01:23:41   property owner I am NOT yeah you go into [TS]

01:23:43   someplace and you say oh this seems like [TS]

01:23:45   a pretty nice place while used to be a [TS]

01:23:47   lot more expensive i'd like to make some [TS]

01:23:48   renovations and I'm just thinking the [TS]

01:23:51   renovations might not be anything [TS]

01:23:53   you know what they need to not be things [TS]

01:23:54   anyone sees but put it put a couple [TS]

01:23:56   power plugs just get you started a place [TS]

01:23:58   to leave if you want to listen to music [TS]

01:23:59   or you want to be able to heat up a sub [TS]

01:24:01   there i'd already be tunnels on that [TS]

01:24:03   island but not be surprised at all [TS]

01:24:04   things I I what what the secret to do to [TS]

01:24:08   do this correctly would be that as [TS]

01:24:10   you're building a network of tunnels the [TS]

01:24:14   Frank Lloyd Wright style house that you [TS]

01:24:15   built on the top you make a big show of [TS]

01:24:18   making it zero-emission it's green it's [TS]

01:24:23   a good thing he's asleep and you got [TS]

01:24:25   solar panels we got a solar-powered [TS]

01:24:28   elevator [TS]

01:24:29   everybody thinks that you are a that you [TS]

01:24:31   are a super good billionaire your house [TS]

01:24:35   is so green it generates power and you [TS]

01:24:38   fucking give it away right you get [TS]

01:24:40   little you give it back to the San [TS]

01:24:42   Rafael bridge which I don't think is a [TS]

01:24:43   real bridge but you have those lines [TS]

01:24:45   lines already no problem we're going to [TS]

01:24:46   shoot that right back to you [TS]

01:24:47   you're welcome that's bad that's to you [TS]

01:24:49   that's from us because we are green and [TS]

01:24:52   we have the island in san francisco bay [TS]

01:24:54   and God bless america [TS]

01:24:56   you can open an educational center there [TS]

01:24:57   question center the other you [TS]

01:25:00   the beach is off-limits to anyone but [TS]

01:25:02   seals you know this education center [TS]

01:25:04   could teach people a lot about the [TS]

01:25:06   delicate ecosystem of the bay [TS]

01:25:08   it will be really useful meanwhile if I [TS]

01:25:11   got a little help here to kind of you [TS]

01:25:14   know booster this up a little bit we're [TS]

01:25:15   gonna have kids out here we should [TS]

01:25:17   probably get some fortifications there's [TS]

01:25:20   going to be there's a network of tunnels [TS]

01:25:21   and and i also get the kids here faster [TS]

01:25:24   you know you know you gotta sign forms [TS]

01:25:25   and right on buses how am I gonna get [TS]

01:25:27   the kids out there want to educate them [TS]

01:25:29   oh well women now i'm looking at a [TS]

01:25:30   picture of this island it is right next [TS]

01:25:33   to the San Rafael bridge like people on [TS]

01:25:36   the San Rafael bridge can look down into [TS]

01:25:38   your bathroom in your as yet [TS]

01:25:41   unconstructed house does that change [TS]

01:25:43   your strategy at all well I think we [TS]

01:25:46   just we would have to orient all of the [TS]

01:25:48   sort of green technology the the the the [TS]

01:25:51   green technology beard would have to [TS]

01:25:52   orient it so that it was visible from [TS]

01:25:54   the bridge so that people can as they're [TS]

01:25:56   driving to work in san rafael or at that [TS]

01:26:00   prison there [TS]

01:26:01   yeah they're thinking god that is the [TS]

01:26:04   type of billionaire maybe you have [TS]

01:26:07   children with the disease come and make [TS]

01:26:08   a man dollar in the side where or maybe [TS]

01:26:11   sometime alter or a mosaic something i [TS]

01:26:14   don't think we call them diseases [TS]

01:26:15   anymore i'm not sure [TS]

01:26:16   Oh sickness tunities yeah like a like a [TS]

01:26:22   i think they're called abilities now I'm [TS]

01:26:24   children with it with abilities to get [TS]

01:26:27   difficult time finding out what kind of [TS]

01:26:30   fauna you have on the island [TS]

01:26:32   I'm sure they have sea lions true that I [TS]

01:26:34   just think I think it's very interesting [TS]

01:26:36   is a place called Seal Rock right where [TS]

01:26:38   there's lots of seals every everything [TS]

01:26:40   I've seen out in the middle of water in [TS]

01:26:42   san francisco bay as shit tons of the [TS]

01:26:43   stupid animals on it [TS]

01:26:45   I don't see any animals on this John I [TS]

01:26:46   don't even see any birds I think there's [TS]

01:26:48   something I think there's there's [TS]

01:26:50   something awful on Red Rock Island I [TS]

01:26:52   there's something going on there's my [TS]

01:26:55   buddy Sean Red Rock Island kind of x-men [TS]

01:26:58   joke the idea you know what do you have [TS]

01:27:01   to do to get the Red Rock I'll ok here's [TS]

01:27:03   left and flied out there right now I [TS]

01:27:05   just something you could do fly down to [TS]

01:27:07   San Francisco if you figure out how to [TS]

01:27:09   get to Red Rock Island here's the thing [TS]

01:27:11   i bet you that there's not many above [TS]

01:27:14   apart from my friend Scott there's not [TS]

01:27:15   that many billionaires that would [TS]

01:27:17   actually today pony up five billion [TS]

01:27:20   dollars plus closing costs whatever the [TS]

01:27:21   fuck that means but you don't think we [TS]

01:27:24   have enough listeners who are software [TS]

01:27:26   billionaire is that one of them is going [TS]

01:27:27   to pony up this money you're taking [TS]

01:27:29   different pressure saying based on our [TS]

01:27:30   sampling size of our vast vast [TS]

01:27:32   constituency [TS]

01:27:33   yeah there's no reason is no fucking [TS]

01:27:34   reason not to think that one of them has [TS]

01:27:37   five billion dollars in checking right [TS]

01:27:38   now they have going over to live with a [TS]

01:27:40   catch-all where sometimes five million [TS]

01:27:42   uses one is a piece of paper one [TS]

01:27:44   cashier's check right now we need one of [TS]

01:27:46   these people were these people based we [TS]

01:27:47   want to buy this from this is that we [TS]

01:27:49   should probably find a little mama JAMA [TS]

01:27:51   more intelligence is it is still liquid [TS]

01:27:52   liquids in in Thailand he's a gem dealer [TS]

01:27:55   but Clemens dealing germs in Thailand is [TS]
